I wonder if Plosion was a prick to the people with TCG cosmetics, here since vanilla, bought for sole purpose of cosmetics as practically no one actually played the TCG, but way more expensive due to how many packs they'd have to buy in order to get them. Again Plosion what makes you a tool is not your ideals or beliefs, it is that you want to be a tool to people for spending their money how they want to spend it. You being a tool to these people isn't doing anything but being a tool, and showing people exactly what kind of low grade human being you are. Do you not understand that somehow? Are you so delusional to believe that being a tool to people who buy microtransactions is doing anything? That by being a tool you aren't "letting them do it"? You've gotta be out of your mind to honestly believe that. Also only saying now after a few back and forths that you'd quit because of microtransactions in classic is hilarious when you seem to instead be relishing at the thought of being a tool to people who buy microtransactions. So which one is it, are you kicking people from your black temple run because of these microtransactions or are you quitting? Trying to act like you have some strong ideals or integrity in this argument clearly isn't going well for you. Also, how are you going to get defensive about you financially supporting Blizzard (who doesn't care why you are paying but only that you are paying them) by calling it purely transactional, yet people making microTRANSACTIONS are idiots? How many hoops you gotta jump through, man? Again, you're a john trashing the prostitute you just paid and even further, being a tool to the other johns who are paying that prostitute.
Great news, they could add more TCG items in game in the future.
No man, I played way back then. I even recreated the very same characters I had back in the day.I created the account two hours ago. Yeah I did. I posted on mmochampion before. But that site is way retail oriented nowadays, I prefer Wowhead now.Ok I'm going to admit it straight up: I'm a prick. I even smirk and laugh at people who buy expensive macbook pros to browse the internet.I wince at people spending money twice for what they already have paid for. So terrible, so degrading. I'm fine with you all considering me a terrible human being. And you know what? I'm doing exactly what you are advising me to: leaving.Exactly as I did 10 years ago, on mmochampion, trying to explain to everyone why the Celestial Steed was bad for everyone. They told me to leave.I was there, I saw apologists just like you, spouting the very same arguments. History really, really repeats itself.Telling me I was wrong, I was bad, I was a terrible person for criticizing what was going on. That "I was trying to force people to spend their money like I wanted."Then retail happened as it has happened, ridden with microtransactions to the core. And still with a full box price and a sub. Everything went as I foresaw. The same is going to happen to classic TBC and onwards. I've done what I could. Yes I can't do much, I'm just a dude. Against a big corp hell bent on not wanting me to have fun. And against people, like you, who, against their own interest (the game's health), do everything in their power to take blizzard's side. Yes, buy that mount, buy that level boost. And that wow token. And that Faction Change...See ya. Have a good one, knock yourselves out. Peace.
Plosion, the thing is, people who are okay with cosmetic microtransactions will never think the game is ruined because of them. How would a cosmetic microtransaction ruin the game for them? How is it against their interests? Clearly many people play without ever buying microtransactions, outside of not having a cosmetic item that probably would never have been made in the first place if not for being put as a microtransaction, how are they ruining the game for people like you? You can never argue that point well, because it's a nonsensical point to argue that you could never convince any reasonable person with. The only things that can truly affect the quality of WoW are the systems and gameplay implemented by developers, and the story written by the story leads. Art designers making microtransactions have 0 affect on the quality of the game. It's nonsense. So how are cosmetic microtransactions against their own interest? Because they pay for them? Buying a product has always been a transaction of worth to the buyer and how much they are paying. It's not like a DLC in CoD or something that if you don't buy this map pack you are cut off from the playerbase that does have it.Also as already stated, you've done nothing, you've made 0 impact on microtransactions by wanting to be a tool to those with them, you've only accomplished outing yourself as such, and the game is better without people like you in it, because I guarantee you, people like you ruin the game for more people than a sparkle pony ever will.
people cry so %^&*ing much, it's just a cosmetic shop, so what? It's not like they're putting gladiator and tier gear in there (like some private servers cough cough)And there's a leveling boost so people that have full time jobs and want to jump on TBC can start questing there without losing weeks getting to 60 (I mean you could prepare now but that's not the point) Stop *!@#ing crying! Actually cry when they put epic/legendary sets on the shop, not *!@#ing cute mounts and toys
I am 110% behind this, simply because if not this then you pay thousands of dollars for these items to third parties.
how dare they want to make money as a company!
WHAT HAPPNED TP THIS GAME
Man wait until the classic players learn about what TCG items were. You know, cosmetic microtransactions tied to what is essentially a lootbox.

I have no problem with cosmetics in the in-game shop and no problem with Deluxe Editions or Collection Editions I actually buy a lot of Deluxe/Collection editions for other games too for the additional in-game cosmetics, I don't agree with some comments on here that they say the retail shop is ridden with microtransactions. I think WoW has very little microtransactions in it's in-game store. If they wanted to follow other MMO's they could throw pages of transmog sets, wings, mounts etc in the in-game store that rotate weekly and really milk it...Classic has an in-game store in the modern client I'm surprised or didn't see any complaints about this when it was launched?
Looks fine, ill buy it
Whoever thinks this is for the best, is simply a tool worthy of being milked in every possible way.
