What's so cringey about it? People who are going to buy this are by the same kind who destroyed the game the first time around. Those same dimwits who bought the astral steed. The transmog helms. The very same who allowed everything else to happen after that.
I'm confused, TCG items were added in Original TBC and cost money. Why is it a problem that we now get to buy TCG items for money with less hassle?
assuming this is the ONLY mount in BC that's added i'm fine with it.if the idea is to add 1 mount each expansion through collectors editions this is a fine compromise.BUT if they use this to add an in game store and add more items? that'll be the last straw for me personally.
"you giving such a $%^& about how other people spend their money" <= The very same argument which led to the current state of retail. I was there. I know it.The way other people spend their money DOES affect me. Because it affects the future decisions blizzard is going to take, AGAIN."also your pure megalomania where you think you'd ever be important enough to do any of those things, who is going to want to join your guild or group when you're known as a complete tool? " <= I happen to be an officer, the GM is one of my oldest friends, and we happen to think alike wrt this issue. So yes no deluxe edition users allowed.Grow up, get a life. <= Had enough of life atm. I'm in my very early thirties, lost both parents and all grand parents, got a master's degree, own two houses, with a full time job. I'm kinda sick and tired of growing up, kid. I just want my game, to distract myself from all THE LIFE I'm getting. The fact you are listing stuff that started in Wrath when collectors editions came when the game launched is hilarious. Grow up. <= Oh yeah. They did start at the end of wrath. Right when the game started its downward spiral into being a glorified microtransaction shop. That I don't want.
Don't understand the complaints here. Original TBC had a deluxe edition like this, but with worse microtransactions like those card games. Now people don't need to chase those card game items, because it's included in the deluxe edition. People seem to confuse microtransactions with deluxe versions of expansions, which were a thing since day one.I'll still be copying my character to classic+ because I don't like how Blizzard handles expansions in wow, and I don't trust them with monetizing the game even more beyond a sub fee, but with the expection of the character boost this deluxe edition isn't as bad as these comments make it out to be.
I'd only want these if they were on retail. I don't give a rats ass about classic toys and mounts.
Yes, I should've explained further, sorry: it ain't gonna stop here my dude.Blizzard ain't gonna stop at "just" offering a deluxe edition with mounts, toys and a levelboost.Just like in retail, you are going to see these same items in a ingame shop. And why would they not do that? They have done this in the past. And they will do that again. Also, the original collectors editions had many, many other real, physical items with them (artbooks, OST CDs, a nice box). Not just pixels. AND BY GOD, NOT A LEVEL BOOST. There's the difference. Have I made myself clear? Do I have to explain my reasoning further? Oh yes I'm a terrible prick for not wanting dimwits to ruin the game I love, again, because they feel an existential NEED to pay for pixels twice. Damn I'm such a terrible human being. Oh please. I discussed at length with people supporting your same arguments over 10 years ago. And time has shown I was right. And they were wrong. The "slippery slope fallacy" argument won't hold water now, because you know, just look back at history. It has happened before, by the same logic, it will happen again if we allow it.Dude I did quit. I quit at the beginning of Cata. I came back for classic. I have my priorities and ideals straight. I don't support micro transactions, I don't buy any of that. And I don't want anyone to do that because I don't want Blizzard to keep cutting away content we have paid with the sub, and selling it in the shop. And the community surge did make the microtransactions go away. We had classic, remember? With no microtransactions. What are you on about. Calling me names and whatnot. What fundamental string of your emotional being have I strung?
Plosion, there's no argument here on whether or not you are a prick, you've literally joined this thread by bragging about how you can't wait to be a tool to people. Acting as if me calling you a prick is out of left field is hilarious. Calling people dimwits and that they are ruining the game for buying microtransactions that are cosmetic is cringe, it's a video game, and people can spend their money how they like. You can have these ideals all you want, that's not what makes you a tool, but when you actively choose to harass or grief other players because of them and bragging here how you can't wait to do it, that's what makes you a tool. You quitting in Cata and only paying for classic doesn't matter, you literally bit the bait, you are supporting the company while railing on them at the same time. That's like trash talking a prostitute for their loose morals after paying for their services. Your priorities and ideals are straight? You're supporting them, they don't care why you are paying for their service, THEY GOT YOU, and you somehow act like people buying microtransactions are idiots? KEK, they've got your money and your financial support either way.
This is the one of the few things that even belong on the store, tbh. Collector's (or other associated words) Editions have been around since Classic, and they've all had in-game items attached. Giving people a chance to get them again without having to dish out money on ebay for the physical CE is fine.
Oh yes, I'm "selective" towards the kind of players I want to associate with. And that's entirely within the bounds of the game. I'm free to play or not to play with whomever I please. I can choose to not play with someone because I don't like their character name for example, or, in my case, because I think they are detrimental to this game I care about.People are free to spend money how they like. I'm also free to avoid them like the plague. People are free to vote for fascist, hate-spewing political parties, I'm also free to run away from such folk. I bit what bait? The company, Blizzard, decided, after much effort , to offer a product I was interested in. And I bought that product. I don't support anyone, my interest in this is purely transactional. If they decide, eventually, to corrupt this product in the same way they have done before, I'm going to bring my business elsewhere. But by hell I'm going to do SOMETHING to avoid that from happening. It is not like I'm DONATING money to Blizzard. I'm paying the sub to receive a service/product. I'm not supporting them. I'm doing business with them. And doing business with someone does not mean you somehow lose the right to criticize or have an opinion on them. Expecially if said products starts to degrade in quality. Eventually, the quality will degrade to such a level I won't transact with them anymore. As I have done before.Microtransactions are a sign of degrading quality. A very clear sign, to me. And diminishes greatly the value I percieve from the transaction between me and Blizzard.
I hate this
Can't wait to have most of the toxic wow playerbase go over to classic TBC. It happened in BFA, it's gonna happen again. It's gonna feel awesome in shadowlands when TBC launches
Was kind of expecting a TBC Classic : CE, like the one we got in the anniversary and release of Wow Classic, with a Illidan statue like the one of Ragnaros... i'm sad
I’m ganking everyone I see on this mount for sure
