This mountain range is a constant target for High level horde characters. Redridge mountains is a good place to find dragonkin at low level and you must go here to complete your level 20 warrior quest if you are Alliance.

Questing here in the mid to high Twenties is very annoying as most of the quests are on the opposite side of the zone from lakeshire, and guess where the only graveyard in the zone is? That's right, if you die you have to walk ALL the way back from just south of lakeshire. Bottom line, get a group if you quest in the eastern section- if you die, you'll regret it.

Lake Everstill - the large body of water on the map - is murloc infested towards the northern and southern ends. In the middle are Lake Threshers, about level 20 elites that you should steer clear of.
The Flight Path is located at the southern end of the bridge.
The area just north of Lakeshire is full of Gnolls, and further north is orc territory (not horde mind you).
Ather's Mill is infested with Spiders, Boars, some whelps and Condors.
The area to the East contains more Gnolls and orcs, a place safer to venture with a partner or group.

A unique boar named Bellygrub spawns just to the SW of Lakeshire and is part of a quest. He spawns about every ten minutes or so and is at level 24. He is also tameable and makes a descent Hunter pet.

When my girlfriend and I quest here we find it painful at first, seeing as most of the lower level quests are collection quests e.g Redridge Goulash ( https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/quest=92 ) and others, the droprates are often terrible. But once you get to the decent quests in the area it's not quite as bad.

For my rogue, i came here at level 16 to do some of the easy quest like, finding the girl's necklace, taking the lunch to the guard.

On my level 22 hunter, I also found the Boars very helpful to skinning. Each boar dropped 2 light leather and some would drop 1 medium leather. I quickly skinned 30 light leather in less then 30 minutes.

You can get to Redridge Mountain by traveling east of Goldshire on the road. When you reach Redridge Mountain there is a few spiders that will attack you. But they are in the lvl 15-16 level bracket, and these spiders are very easy to kill.(##RESPBREAK##)140##DELIM##MasterOfDisguise##DELIM##

Great place for skinning 75-probly about 125, best place for it is near the crossover of redridge and burning steppes, boars respan just as you kill the last one
EDIT: the boars turn green for skinning at 110, but you can keep it going and hit 125, maybe even 130

I believe Lakeshire, the main Alliance town in Redridge, is a reference to Laketown, the town where the Dwarves and Bilbo stop at in The Hobbit.

If you want to get to the swamp of sorrows directly from the Redridge Mountains (without Deadwind Pass) you go to Render's Valley. Go to 71,84 and look south, there should be a nice smooth slope. Take that all the way, you should be near the top. You should be at 74,91 looking west, there's a tiny gap in between two unclimbable hills you can get between and through. Make your way to 70,91 and look south. This slope easily cuts into the swamp.

This will be my third successful mountain climb :D

Other than the elite and named quest bad guys there are the following named (silver dragon) bad guys here:

Kazon:

lvl 26 Orc. Dropped Kazons mallet.

He is a weird one, have only seen him spawn once and it was 10 minutes after killing the mob around his position.

So not sure on the spawn timer but its not 24 hrs. He can be found at renders camp beside the orc champions.

Easy spider with a few annoying traits. He spawned in the mill North of Lakeshire, you know the one where rogues practice lock picking.

One of his specials is he can paralyse you, he did this at least four times to my level 22 Paladin

Spawned beside all the black dragons south of the Lakeshire bridge. Killed him four weeks ago and can't remember much about him. Have not seen him since.

Ah, found an easy way. If you take the zep from tglades and get off and go north, its pretty close. Tons of low level alliance 15-30 and sometimes a bit higher.

I'm a lvl 18 and I just came to Redridge by way of Auberdine. I took a quest that asks you to get sunfish, and, understanding that I can kill Murlocs to get Sunfish, I would still like to be able to fish for them (because Murlocs are the spawn of Satan). One problem; apparently my fishing skill lvl is not high enough. *laughs* I was wondering if anyone know how high your skill had to be to fish in Redridge?

I'm a nightelf in darkshore and I just was wondering how I can get to redridge from here. Keep in mind that I don't have any flight paths other than the ashenvale one. Any help will be appreciated.

take boat in auberdine to menethil harbor. run to loch modan then to dun morogh. form there take the tram to stormwind and run east to redridge. its might be a little slower, but in terms of zone lvls its easier.

I headed in a couple of days ago at lvl 16. A couple of kills and I dinged 17 though. I think 17 is a good place to start here, but you can't do too many of the quests at 17. Most of them really start around 19-20.

Try Loch Modan, maybe. That's around the same level as westfall, there should be plenty more quests there you can do at this level.

The water element, if u need elemental water, is under the bridge that leads to the castle-thingy that the black rocks are in. U could either:

A: Fall to your death then rez in the gully
or
B:Swim into the gully from the lake

Keep foloing the river and u will come to a waterfall that leads to murlocs :P who the hell gave them steroids?

To get to Redridge Mountains, if you're still low level coming from Stormwind City, you have to run south going to duskwood then run northeast to get to Redridge mountains.

my freind, a pally was in lakeshire, went outside and was killin murlocks. out pops a 55 rogue almost kills um. he makes it back to the guards. well he didnt listen to reson. went back out. owned. he think while in town hes safe. wrong. rouge pops out starts ganken. well hes(the rogue) only 50 and the guards are on him. rogue dies. get freinds, includeing a nemisis undead lock. this shows that be ON YOUR GAURD IN LAKESHIRE. its somewhat near STV which means horde can com here

Not only it is a fine place to walk around. Monsters have taken over the place, and so does the water do. One of the monsters around Lakeshire is the Lake Thresher. You need to be aware of this "sea monster". In my opinion it has all the parts of the monster of Loch Ness. Just keep checking the lake itselfs. It would be impossible to overlook it. Just a small spot in the eye of him will scare you. Its an elite lvl 24, so it would be good to have a good weapon and some great armor. But when you explore the eastern territory of Redridge Mountain you will find a beast in the waters that is far more stronger then the so-called Loch Ness. If you can beat it yourself... Then you are some good one :)

One thing. All elite monsters will Own you when you do not know that they watch over your movements. Keep that in mind when you think about a trip to Redridge mountain.

The town of Lakeshire, on the west side of Redridge, is a generally safe area for quest-grabbing and shopping for those in the Alliance. It's also much larger than towns in the level 1-20 range. You can train Herbalism and Cooking at the houses up on the hills at the west part of the town, while the more urban section to the east features the Inn, the Town Hall (which offers the most important quests in the area), and a stable-like area with many vendors within, as well as amenities for blacksmiths and miners.

The area to the west of the town is a field of crops besieged by...pigs. Or boars. Whichever. Great Goretusks are simple challenges to anyone over level 17. If you can't take them on, you need to get your tail out of Redridge. In fact, I would suggest being at least level 21 to be in this area. A named boar mob, which you need to kill for a quest, is in this area too. Bellygrub is level 24, and can be killed in a part or soloed at level 25, if you'd like. It's not elite, and it's very close to town, so it doesn't really hurt to do either thing.

One more thing...if you're on a PVP server, I'm sure you felt a twinge of anxiety when those orange letters spelling CONTESTED TERRITORY appeared on your screen when you entered the Redridge Mountains. Don't let your guard down, not even in towns. The Horde knows this is contested territory and will attack the town from time to time. Be vigilant! It is best to spot them from far away. This gives you time to run up into the hills (watch out for Redridge Gnolls!), into a building (but sometimes, the Horde will scour indoors too, so try hiding behind a bookcase or something...be creative), or try logging off in the inn. The Horde will attack through the road coming south from the Burning Steppes (i.e. from northeast of Lakeshire), but the uncanny Undead will sometimes utilize their ability to breathe underwater for long periods of time to jump out of the lake at low-level players. If you don't mind a death or two, watching the invasion may prove entertaining, but otherwise, the safest alternative to avoid death is to log off inside the inn, before the invading Horde use an effect-causing attack that slowly drains your HP and may kill you even while you try to log off.

Three Corners is likely to be your first sight of Redridge. Realize now that Redridge is a Contested Territory. Yes, it's close to Alliance Territory, but it's still Contested. If you're Alliance, keep in mind that the Horde may be anywhere. Nobody knows the Horde is around unless someone sees them, and that someone may be you, so keep an eye out and remember to announce your discovery once you've assured your own safety.

Anyway, this area is a smooth transition for those who have entered Redridge a little bit before I would advise you to. Tarantulas and Great Goretusks can be dealt with at level 16, and the Gnolls who set up camps on the ridge to the north (near Lake Everstill) are in that same range (Redridge Thrashers and Mongrels). Do be careful around Black Dragon Whelps, though, as they can burn through even a level 18 if they're not careful. Engage them up close quickly. They're fairly weak in terms of defense.

The Gryphon Flight Master is on the opposite side of the bridge from Lakeshire. If he's not with his birds, or dead, the Horde is likely in the area. Find safety if you're Alliance.

This tower is located North-East of Stonewatch Keep. It's surrounded and inhabitated by Shadowhide Gnolls, and on top of the tower you will find their leader: Morganth.
