In-Game Store Details, Experience Buff Coming to Asian Regions
Bashiok confirmed some speculation about an in-game store coming soon: the experience buff
Enduring Elixir of Wisdom
is planned to go live on Asian regions at the outset. There will also be a way to get Lesser Charms of Good Fortune.
Asian servers, due to their unique hourly subscription model, have already gotten some changes in the past. Earlier in MoP, KR servers
no longer shared raid lockouts on 10s and 25s, and 25-player loot was changed to be of a higher ilvl

In addition, it's implied that the in-game store would also sell items like the Pet Store pets and mounts as a long-term goal.
Thanks for all the feedback so far, everyone. We’re still pretty early in the exploration process, but we did want to go into more detail about our rationale for introducing an in-game store, as well as provide some insight into what you might ultimately see available there.
For players who are already interested in the in-game items we offer, such as Pet Store pets and mounts, the benefits of an in-game store are pretty clear. We think ev

Talk Azeroth - Episode 5 - Cross-Realm Arena, Recent Hotfixes
We've got another episode of Talk Azeroth with Olivia up, as well as some recent hotfixes for the holiday weekend!
This week on Talk Azeroth Episode Five, Olivia gives everyone a lesson in what she calls the After Eight challenge, before firing up the show. If you think you can do it faster, prove it!
Moving into the show, Olivia starts off by picking up your viewer questions from previous episodes. If you have a viewer question, you can now email them over to Olivia direct on Olivia@zam.com, or tweet her at
@oliviadgrace
. The questions this week touch on Virtual Realms, as well as a couple of thoughts on the Arena Tie-Break System.
This weeks' show deals with some huge PvP news, the introduction of cross-realm arenas and the removal of teams. Olivia explains the existing system, as well as the changes, before thinking through the pros and cons of the new system, including flexibility, rating, rankings, MMR and potential exploits, as well as the camaraderie of teams and whether it's really important.

5.4 PTR: Siege of Orgrimmar Mount Rewards and Zone Preview
The Siege of Orgrimmar has recently been open for testing on the PTR--today we've got a visual preview of the zone, as well as some details on the mount rewards.
Mount Rewards
Tier 16 will have three raid mounts as rewards. These are handled a bit differently than the other raid mounts in MoP.
The
Reins of the Kor'kron War Wolf
are rewarded if you've completed
Ahead of the Curve: Garrosh Hellscream (10 player)
or
Ahead of the Curve: Garrosh Hellscream (25 player)
. This is the first Ahead of the Curve achievement to award a mount, and also the first to be split into 10 and 25 player versions since the lockouts became shared in Cataclysm.
Killing
Mythic: Garrosh Hellscream
will have a 100% droprate on a truly epic mount, that will be nerfed to 2% when the next tier comes out.
Glory of the Orgrimmar Raider
rewards the
Reins of Galakras
mount. Blizzard has confirmed that the achievements required for the
Glory of the Orgrimmar Raider
will not include heroic ones, and that the needed achievements can be completed in Flex mode.
At last week's fansite mixer held at Blizzard, I asked Lead Encounter Designer Ion Hazzikostas about the mount changes, and here's a (summarized) version of his reply:

Patch 5.4 Arena Update: Cross-Realm Arenas, No Premade Teams Needed
As revealed at the
Fansite Dev Roundtable
on Friday, some big changes are coming to arenas in 5.4. The team requirement is lifted, and you can compete with cross-realm friends!

Big changes are coming to World of Warcraft’s Arenas that will make participating more convenient and competitive than ever before, and some of those changes may begin appearing on the PTR very soon.

Today, competition is limited to the realms within your Battlegroup, and your ability to participate in the Arena system requires having a static team with friends on the same realm. In the upcoming Patch 5.4, we’re building on technological improvements we’ve made over time (such as region-wide matchmaking) to expand the pool of competitors and improve the Arena experience for all World of Warcraft players.

One of the first things you’ll notice in Patch 5.4 is that you’ll no longer need to join or create an Arena team to compete. Instead, queuing will work much as it does for Rated Battl

Talk Azeroth - Episode 04 - Arena Tie-Break System
This week Olivia takes a look at the proposed changes to the arena tie-break system. She starts off with a look at where we're at right now, explaining the current system, before running viewers through the new tie-break system, and then dives head-first into the potential issues with the systems old and new, while also examining why Blizzard decided to shift away from the old system in the first place.
The new system, she asserts, provides a fairer look at arena matches, likening them to boxing. The pugilistic metaphor continues as Olivia discusses how the current system is much like demanding a TKO to win any boxing match, while technical victories are completely absent.
However there is a downside, as Olivia explores, with the way the system changes the psychology of the arena, as players might look to play the system rather than play the game.

Account Security Warning: Mobile Armory and Battle.net Website
Blizzard
There’s been a recent increase in unauthorized World of Warcraft account-logins via our website and the World of Warcraft mobile armory app.
We’re in the process of notifying any account holders who were not using an authenticator and whose account showed signs of unauthorized access (e.g., logging in from an unusual IP address). If you are among this group, you will receive an email describing how to reset your account.
As a result of these activities, access to the World of Warcraft auction house via the mobile app has been taken off-line temporarily. Upon request, our customer support team will restore in-game items and gold for any accounts impacted.
While no means of account security is guaranteed, every precaution you take to secure your computer and your account—including changing your password periodically—adds another defensive barrier.
