So about 3 weeks ago, without any research I jumped into TBC wanting to play pvp frost mage with my RL friend as rogue. My friend boosted character as he has a life and not as much time as me. I leveled up to lvl 58 and then saw all the videos on youtube how pvp is unplayable as horde. So we re-rolled alliance. I spend over 800k from my retail gold to donate my friend another boost and I level up gnome mage, I'm 55 already. DONT TELL ME YOU WILL NOT INTRODUCE MERCENARY MODE AND MY EFFORT WILL BE WORTHLESS. IF SO I QUIT THE GAME for FFIV
The honor grind is terrible for alliance too. This isn't a horde only problem. Yes horde have it 3x worse due to population imbalances, but the honor grind itself is TERRIBLE.
I don't understand what the issue is. It sounds like PvP is happening on PvP servers, no?
Gotta love all these alliance players and their copium. yet if it was their que times that were long they would be $%^&*ing and saying blizz favors horde. Merc mode would fix this problem with really no negative impact on the game.
I love all the people saying that it isn't blizzard's problem to fix because it is player made, but will sit there and defend the chronoboon that was only there to fix a player made problem lol.
The Horde entitlement in this thread is too tasty, keep it up
Why not make it so that you can meet whole teams of your own faction? I understand that it ruins the experience a bit if you are a mixed team of horde and alliance, but there could be a 'training grounds' mode, where you could be full horde vs full horde as an example? I think something like this, or open faction swap are the only solutions !
lol @ the whole "this is a player-created problem" argument. Is this a player-created game? Did the players design the racials and two-faction system? Was it the players who announced a paid level 58 boost that allowed alliance to easily reroll horde before launch? Are the players now profiting from it on the cash shop? Horde queue times were already significantly longer than alliance in classic, and the 58 boost allowed hardcore alliance PvPers to faction swap and min/max racials for arena with minimal effort. Those hardcore alliance PvPers are what kept the faction "balance" just barely sustainable in classic, and are now contributing to the 10% faction disparity that has led to completely untenable queue times for horde. This is 100% a blizzard created problem, and only blizzard can actually make any changes to the game. It needs to be a blizzard solution. Why are players blaming other players for an in-game problem, instead of contributing to a discussion that holds the game developer accountable for the sustainable management of their game? Some of you gnomes need to make use of your +5% intellect racial and look at the bigger picture here...
this honestly has such a easy fix too just make arena's give you 50 honor per win or something, marks are honestly not a problem since you don't need a cockload of them
Agree every time I see one of those stuped fken lizards it's a reminder this ain't like vanilla classic there's no point to preserve any og feels garbo store bought sh*t everywhere then might as well fix the stuff that sucked. Instead of adding stuff that sucks.
Blizzard need to open free migration to alliance from horde, plenty of my friends would make the swap. I deleted my 60 Orc hunter at the end of classic and rerolled alliance because GUESS WHAT. My friends and I saw this coming... Really if you didn't expect it then you haven't been paying attention. I'd prefer to have some more alliance as certain areas are out of hand with clusters of horde everywhere. All the racials and no where to use them..
"Well *someone* needs to play the worse faction and you don't expect it to be *me*, do you?" -all of us, presumablyIt is indeed player created. Horde is the clear choice for many reasons that transcend PvP. Why would we choose anything else? The only way to have truly substantial PvP is to let us play against our own faction. There is no greater challenge than us.
What a fantastic idea! Let's just all reroll to alliance, and when that's done, queue waiting times jumps to 10 hours because there isn't any horde left anymore! Woohoo! #allianceproblemsolving
Long Horde ques is just created by player's mentality and those who are alliance have NOTHING TO DO WITH IT! end of the story. Minor fact that horde players tend to kill low level players is just theyr personal frustration and result of inability to deal with theyr own decisions and baring them as consequences. If blizzard does ANY FIX ABOUT HORDE que times i meany anything like "making alliance AV premades impossible" I will be idle every single BG where I see horde player I swear to god. Why? because all alliance have is to hold on to little things that is gives to them like que time in this unfair alliance // horde environment. There is NO counter argument to what I said,I proud to be alliance but I'm sick how alliance "have-to-be" low end of the stick and horde can cry out every advantage. I have made my faction choice long ago and I wont make any change.By choosing HORDE you all willingly signer to everything that belongs to it. CRYRIVERS on horde going to get blizzard help once again? DISGUSTING - nothing else to say.
Is so sad having to read all these nonsense hate between factions. Some people just play what they enjoy the most, not what they think/know is best. I really don't think that racials are the problem, I'd say that is probably that, in a fantasy world like World of Warcraft, horde races are more appealing than all human-like races in the Alliance side, speacially when the in-game models are bigger and gear looks cooler on them. That's the way it is, but that doesn't mean we, as a community, can hope for the best for EVERY player; casual or not, pver or pvper, horde or alliance. I really look forward for a solution, because all the alternatives that have been discuss doesn't affect by any mean the Alliance. And if you still don't want this problem to be fixed just because you have this stupid in-game racism mindset, you should really consider seeking for professional help.
