I never understood the fear associated with the Fel Reaver. Yes it would 1 shot you, but it was also as subtle as a nuklear bomb. The freaking ground shakes when it comes near, you don't need to hear or even SEE it to walk 20 yards to the side and NOT get squashed like a noob.
Gear (iLvl) is like 10% of the battle. No Curve = No Chance.
I had to explain to my husband (who started playing at the end of Cataclysm) how scary the fel reaver was. For being so huge it was extremely sneaky and it would literally just come trucking at you from across the zone (it felt like anyway), roflstomp you into the ground until you looked like a heap of meat then go chase the next unsuspecting dude. Once you heard the noise and saw the ground shake you had like 3 seconds to get away and all you could think was "omg why do mounts take so long?"
I haven't heard these Fel Reaver noises. I guess I need to turn my sound up. I'm excited to see what happens with this.
Also ...no more tomes to change talents? *happy sigh* One more spot I can clean up from my bags for space. Now what am I going to fill them with?
I would love to see an invasion start early and build up over time, Fel Reavers owning face out in the open world again could add some fun nostalgia.
I love pre expansion stuff like this, just like the tremors before deathwing emerged
Just heard the Fel Reaver sound in Warspear. I probably wouldn't have paid any attention to it if I hadn't just read this article.
