The best bet in this situation would be to remember that corporate is not your friend.
There's already a statue of Bill Gates in Stormwind btw....
I'll come back to the game if they rebrand as Micro/Blizzard and Activision just does CoD and leaves WoW alone.
Is it over, father? I see only darkness before me...
I get that this is a big deal, but I wouldn't expect much from it.I think it could as much mean big changes or none at all, depends on how hands-on Microsoft will be and/or they plans on monetizing further the games or take a step back. For all we know, they might as well just take control of the company and leave things as they are.
So... what does this all mean for the Blizzard games? I still don't understand how this would impact us. I am not very versed in these kind of company acquisitions and what not so I would love to know how this would pan out for all Blizzard games.
Please let this be a thing it would be so amazing to only pay for gamepass!
Damn these are big and good news, can't wait to see what will the future bring. WoW on Game Pass would be like the best thing ever.
This are really good new as a Blizzard Fanboy was a bit in fear about Activsion will push out 10.0 for WoW this year to sell much of them regardless it's ready or not
I am actually interested in what Microsoft is doing these days, buying Zenimax/Bethesda, now Activision/Blizzard. They sure are on a streak to make the biggest gaming company they can make. One question now, who will be next ?
Well, I can see this meaning Bobby K getting kicked out whether his cronies on the board like it or not. So that's good, at least. I'll reserve judgement on the rest until I see what actually happens.
The consolidation of gaming under a handful of mega-corps is a bad thing for everyone.
Well... that was unexpected. We'll see how much they want to monetize this to make their money back, but beats EA. The deal is coming too late to have any major effect on 10.0, so we propably won't see major MS/Xbox integration for WoW until 11.0 in 2025-6.
