under toys it has green balloon and green balloon
To reach Exodar there is actually also the portal located inside the Temple of the Moon in Darnassus :) it's faster than waiting for the boat there :)
Good to see Speedy is at the top !I have them all but that was the first one I picked it back when pets were items and took bag space. Just having a baby turtle named "Speedy" following you as fast as you could move is great. :D
To me all these people complaining for playing PvP just make no sense. Achievements are not supposed to always be fun, you either do it or dont do it based on the effort and the reward. So if you really want this achievement you'll play some PvP, otherwise it means you just dont really want it.A few tips:- Arathi Basin: Buy a Goblin Glider and use it as soon as the doors open to fly directly to the nearest flag. If you dont reach it, use a sprint, you should be very close anyway- Eye of the storm: if you dont have a good group, avoid the initial middle fight. Always check middle and eventually you'll get your chance to pick the flag while no one is around.- Alterac valley: If you are a stealth class its pretty straight: go to one of the last 2 towers and cap it. If you dont have stealth, group up with some people and be sure to cap the flag while others are almost done with enemies.- Warsong Gulch: if you have a good gear stand in defense with possibily one or 2 other mates. If the enemy comes alone, its probably going to die before leaving the room. If enemy comes with 4+ people just go to your group and wait for when the efc splits from the group. Usually efc will always be sprinting faster than its group and outrun it.
Well time to try get that damn PvP achievement again. A little tip for people wanting to assault a base in Arathi, I found it easy to just run out of the gates on a mount then use displacer beast( as a druid) to get the Stables capped at the start of the match. It was pretty easy to do and any class with a blink ability should be able to do it!
Oh hey School of Hard Knocks is still part of the meta... *skip*
For the school of hard knocks I say do it as druid at 15-19 level range. Not much abilities and you are the fastest one around. Take feline swiftness talent. Not sure if alterac is available at 15-19 or starts at 20 though.
I HATE PvP with a passion.. but if you want things in WoW sometimes you gota do what you hate.. The trick is to resign yourself to the fact your gona get upset and angry while doing this.. BUT persistence will pay off.. When I completed this I did NOT feel a sense of accomplishment OR relief.. I felt pissed off and angry... Just put your head down and keep at it.. I am NO PvPer.. If this is the on your list still to do.. Just start as early as you can and keep trying till you get it..Read the Guide provided up in this guide .. Live it, Breath it.. and you will eventually accomplish it.Good Luck
Good luck to all those going after School of Hard Knocks. Definitely one of my most hated achievements. The non-PVPers don't want to be there, and the PVPers don't want them there. But if it's got to be done if you really want that proto drake.
I really don't know what is so hard with it. I completed every achievement and all 3 orphan questlines in one day.
2016, the year nothing new happened on World of Warcraft (until expansion release 3/4 of the way through the year). But seriously, 6.2 has been going on WAY too long. It came out last June.
If this is your School of Hard Knocks is your last achievement and you have to be level 70 to learn Violet Proto-drake is there any way to give the mount to one of my other characters to use or do I have to do it with a level 70? Because I am really bad at high level PvP since I really only play PvE and I would love to do it on a level 20 character.
Great guide! Too bad this holiday is during finals week! *grumble*
Well its been a long time since I did this, but a couple suggestions:1) If you are a stealth class (rogue, druid, hunter w/ glyphed camouflage) then stealth into one of the north bunkers and take the flag. Maybe a mage could do it as well if you're really good with your invisibility timing.. And of course you have to beat all the rogues that are just grabbing the flag for the battle objective.2) Or, hang out between shb and iwb.. wait for the ally to recap them (which is almost every game in my battlegroup.. horde fail random av about 90% of the time it seems..) It might take a few tries but what you're looking for is when ally take one and then go to take the other without leaving any guards. Go take it back after they leave.2b) Slight modification of the above.. if they're guarding and a few members of your team are trying to fight through it, try to go hide around the corner of the window and get the flag. There's a spot that's not quite in LoS of most of the room but still can hit the flag (also works to avoid the NPC guards if you can stealth through to that spot.) Of course if the ally are paying attention they'll stop you but its definitely not impossible.Obviously you're not really going to be helping your team much while doing this since you're actively avoiding the fight (and possibly letting your teammates die) in order to get the flag cap. Such is life.
I admit, the School of Hard Knocks achievement is a pain to do, but it is do-able. It f just takes your dedication this week to do it and a lot of patience with a little bit of luck. It took me several rounds of each battle ground (except Arathi Basin) and eventually you will get into a BG where someone is going to try to help you. Sometimes the help comes from the PvP community and even sometimes the opposite faction because you each have the same goal in mind. I'm sure most people in the PvP community hate this event because at least 1/3 of your team has lost sight of the total objective in the BG and are just working towards achievements. But towards the middle-latter part in the week it seems that everyone realizes this isn't a real PvP week and that it's just utter chaos.A couple tips I can provide for fellow mages are:1) Arathi Basin - Unless there is another mage in the BG, you should be the first one to take the farm/stables. Two glyphs that can help you out are Charred Glyph or . They are exclusive with each other so you can only use one or the other. Rapid displacement will allow you to blink twice back to back and glyph of blink will allow you to blink 8 yards further. With either of these you can mount up at the beginning (remember to have your orphan out) and start running at the gate, when the gates open B-line your way to the flag and when you are within range of 2 blinks (40 Yards) or 1 extended blink (28 yards) use the spell and bam you're on top of the flag before anyone else. Of course if you have bad latency this can pose a problem and any of these achievements will be harder to get.2) Alterac Valley - Don't underestimate how good Greater Invisibility is. It allows you to turn invisible instantly every 90 seconds for a total of 20 seconds. This is usually plenty of time to sneak past the opposite faction and up into one of the towers to capture it. If it is being guarded by the other team, try to find another tower or just wait for that person to either get bored and run off or chase after someone else. The NPC guards don't do a lot of damage and are relatively easy to take down. Most importantly remember to have your orphan out! I was able to do this on the first BG.3) Warsong Gulch - This BG is more of less about luck and how well your team will work together to take down the flag carrier. Best advice I can give is if the flag carrier is <20% health, stand on top of the player and just start spam clicking where the flag is going to appear and cross your fingers that you're the first one to click. And remember to have your orphan out! This took me about 3-4 BGs to complete.4) Eye of the Storm - This one I found to be one of the most pain in the rear ones to complete. If you're trying to capture the flag, the other team is always either knocking you off the side or spamming AoE/fears/whatever near the flag position. This is especially true when both sides are fighting for control over the middle at the beginning of the game. My advice here is to help gain control of one of the bases on your side first. Possibly let the control of the middle to shift one way or the other. Once it looks like your team is gaining control over the middle start trying to capture the flag. I recommend speccing into if you're trying to capture the flag because it will essentially make you invulnerable while capturing the flag and its castable while capturing the flag. So when you have about 3 seconds left on you capture cast, use and unless someone beat you to it, you should have the flag. A couple things will interrupt it (I believe Fear, Stun and knockbacks) but you will at least be immune to all damage. Run your butt back to a base you have under control and remember to have your orphan out before you turn in the flag. It takes some luck and hopefully you don't have a bunch of try hards or organized groups on the other faction and you should be able to complete this. It took me 3-4 BGs for this one too. I don't really PvP so these so everything I say is from a PvE perspective. I don't think they should remove this achievement because it does kind of go along with the prestige of the Meta, but I do understand how it does suck if this is the only one you're missing for the Meta for the mount. Good luck and don't get discouraged! You can do it! And don't forget....remember to have your orphan out!
