And here I was thinking that I told my pet to kill when i sent it in to fight...damn maybe i told it to cuddle, glad this spell is here to clear up the confusion.

Does the kill command damage count aggro towards you or your pet? I am a hard time determining which.

If your looking for a good macro to free up some button space, try this one. It combines pet attack, hunters mark and kill command in 1 button.

/petattack
/petdefensive
/castsequence reset=combat/target Hunter's Mark, kill command, kill command, kill command, kill command

It basically sends your pet in, puts in defensive stance (maybe remove that for instances) and casts hunters mark. Subsequent presses of the button will issue a kill command. Careful not to spam it as you will reset back to hunters mark. If you kill the mob/change target, it will reset back to hunters mark. This can happen quite easily as you have to wait for the global cooldown before the command is issued, so keep an eye on the icon before you press.

Great for soloing but use cautiously in instances.

As of now i am a Draenei Hunter lv 43; 31/0/3 going BM spec i was wondering if there are any other BM hunters who care to tell me if i should invest two talent points to Focus Fire or if i should move it to some where else like thick hide, or aspect of the hawk.

I'm assuming that it means that the kill command will no cause the pet to strike its current target, rather than the hunter's target (which may be different).

Dont know if it can crit, but it would be hard to use it with devilsaur tooth. Pets have fast attack speed, and if u use the tooth right after u crit, your pet will probably make a melee crit before you can use this command.

I would assume so, but I was just wondering if anyone knew offhand. Would be nice to be able to use the Devilsaur Tooth then cast this.

Opinions wanted. Is this too annoying to use? Like most, I crit about 1/4th the time. Clearly it can't be on the pet bar b/c it takes hunter-mana to do, but a global cooldown would suck. And hitting another button from a limited line of buttons is pricey -- as far as button space goes.

Depending on what current skill my pet is using, i often crit for 800-1k on kill command.

Not to mention it leads to frenzy kicking in 1/3 times.

Yet another reason why all the new crappy slow outland bows sucks ass.

i think this thing is pretty much awesome for a BM hunter im lvl 67 and i can get it to crit for 500-600 damage. by 70 with some decent crit gear hopefully i can push my crit from 20% to over 30& and maybe close to 40%. then just spam this like crazy if i can find a fast bow outland bows are pretty slow....could prob get it to crit for over 1000 in beast wrath with my cat. since in pvp noone pays attention to the pet except to get away from it my pet is free to do its damage and with a 30-40 % chance to crit = unstoppable...plus id be crittn for gd damage.

Both kill command and Steady shot are noted (rank 1).
will this say that blizz some day in the future will make another expansion where you will be able to get rank 2?
or is it just a mistake, and should both kill command and Steady shot be like Misdirection and have no rank at all?

i had bt with the new 41 bm talents and it was insane dps, but now bangalsh is almost just as good as long as you dont retrain him, save your training points give him all resistances, (mainly shadow and frost) and he will eat casters alive, btw there is nothing more entertaining then watching a lock try to cast fear with a frenzied bm bangalash on him, qq emo wizard lolololol.

Question: Is it possible to get the Prowl buff with this move? seems i cant get it to work because my pet ignores my Command unless it was already attacking the target. This a glitch maybe? i know he does it fine when i am in combat but if i switch targets and try to tell my pet to kill command that one he doesnt. Would this be because of Passive Defensive or aggresive stance? any help thanks =)

Think about cobra reflexes. For a BM hunter, yeah your pet will do a little less damage. But crits come more often, triggering damage buff and frenzy. Frenzy, which will stay up most of the time, will have your pet attacking with a speed of .99. Not only would this keep the 3% damage buff up but against casters, will constantly knock back spell casts, which is sometimes overlooked.

With the Abacus of Violent Odds, (which imo should be a must have for every hunter) pop Bestial Wrath, and Rapid Fire. Your attack speed should come out to ~1.05+-. This would make you a very big threat to most for PvP. So far, it has allowed me to mow down many unlucky victims in the crosshairs of my rifle.

To fully benefit Kill Command (KC), and push its dps to full max, without pushing your dps down, you should macro it to other talents, I.E.

^ thats a steady shot macro for kill command, its slightly different from the one i use, (the one i use has #showtooltip Kill Command - so I can tell when its up and ready to use) but it will work as the same. All you must do to macro it to whatever else you want, Such as arcane/viper/raptor strike/mortal strike/wing clip, just erase any where it says steady shot and replace it with the talent you want to use it for. Example:

^ That would be the macro for arcane, I dont suggest using it with multi as it can mess your shot rotation up, since multi is technically a .5 sec cast.

For a BM hunter this is pretty crucial, even for MM/Surv its a rather nice dps push since you will NEVER miss a KC, and you will never click it at the wrong time, which doing so will push your auto shot time back slightly, not all that important for a short fight but, in boss fights that can mean a 20,000 damage difference. Which can be the difference between sucess and a wipe.

It does not interrupt your shooting, but does trigger the global cooldown.

And Negative, There is no global cooldown as you can read above these comments. For example if KC is up and ready to use, and you have it macro'd to Arcane, It takes one (1) click to shoot your arcane shot, and give your pet the kill command. I Hope you newb hunters take this information and use it to your benefit, cause a hunter without macros is like a warrior without plate. Far to much stuff to keep track of for one person as a hunter, Macros make life easier, and make your character give maximum performance. You can find hunter macros online, and once you know how they work, you can tweak them yourselves to fully benefit your style of playing.

I like how one of the above yellows posts posts a 41/0/20 specc... At 400 resilience you take 20% less damage from critical strikes. For pvp the talent mortal shots 5/5 is a MUST... knewb specc to go w/o it in any case

i keep seeing people talk about the "cobra reflexes" skill that bangladesh has...but it is not exclusive to him. any dps pet can and should be taught that skill. i have a ravager with cobra reflexes, and all my talents put into speed and damage. i'd put my pet up against any cat his level any day.
just my opinion :)
