I doubt we will see this, especially with only 1.5s casttime.
I could see this if it was 10s cast, maybe. Sounds too unrealistic right now.

This may end up being a Priest spell, if it stays in the game at all, since their res spell is called Resurrection instead of the Paladin Redemption.

I would not want this to be a priest spell in any sort of way. We're just as holy, if not holier then priests, us paladins I mean. I agree it should be added in the game because it's part of the paladin class as a whole but I do see how it would further condemn paladins to forcefully spec Holy to be able to raid, if this particular spell would be a talent. And I cannot agree with that.

This will most likely not be a talent if it makes it into retail. Seeing as talent trees for TBC have already hit WoW. My best guess for a 1.5 second time is a PVP Lifesaver that will likely have a large cooldown attached to it.

This spell *should* be baseline. On my particular server, it's not uncommon to only have a single paladin in the raid. He provides;
-His blessings to the whole raid.
-His aura to the main tank.
-His DI in case things go wrong =D

Having this spell may be more incentive for groups to have more paladins. In a 25man raid, with 5 pallies, you could get back on your feet within seconds! Speed raids up alot imo =)

I fail to see the "overpowerdness" in this spell. it costs 76% of the paladin's mana and resurrects people within your party of a range up to 50 yd.

the people whom do get resurrected will have 500 health and 1150 mana - from which defeats the usability in pvp environment (considering the damage of a level 70 player).

So as a whole, all this spell does is saves a lot of time in PvE environment - which from my point of view is a very welcomed spell, but is in no way required.

This spell is in beta and it will make retails. This spell is to remove downtime in PvE environnement by not taking 10*39 seconds to get everybody back to life.

Why shouldn't this be a priest spell? Holy Priests are meant to be the primary healers/rezzers, thats all they really can do, considering the new patch has given the Holy Palis a huge advantage making it so they can heal and tank at the same time, blizzard is attempting to make Holy Priests obsolete. This spell would be a great one to make the "true" healers out there more productive!

Also I might add that Keeper of the Grove's spells from WC3 are all on the current WOW Druid. (Entangling Roots, Thorns, Summon Treants if you choose to, and Tranquility).

Since you can't res in arenas this is not the end all be all of overpowered skills available, but it is somewhat nasty in any other group PvP encounter.

even if it's not alot of life nor mana it returns people with, we all know mages can do alot with less. Basically any paladin who is holy spec and able to get out of combat during PvP can bring back all the crowd controlling abilities of his dead group, and with new fears, hunter traps and scatter shots, and well as sheep's and other vital PvP tools, a loosing fight can quickly become a won one.

I don't mind palas having it, am just hoping more will spec back to holy, as they bring farmore to PvP that any other build imo.

i dont understand why people would say this is OP or whatever their saying, yeah, its powerful, but 1) hard to pull off in a PvP situation if yer facing good people (and if yer not they deserve to get owned) 2) costs a LOT of mana 3) horde and alliance both get it

It should be put back in with the normal 10 second resurrection cast time. It is only the 1.5 seconds that makes it overpowered.

Why is it overpowered in any kind of situation? Let's say someone wanted to use this in 5v5 arena. (though I believe rezzing is not allowed in arena) The paladin will need to save up more than 3/4 mana to use it, so the paladin will probably doing almost nothing, trying to keep his mana over 75%. Your team is already in a 4v5 sitaution. Let's say all 4 died and you are the only one left. You cast mass rez with mana you saved up by letting your teammates die. 4 of your members will spawn right on you with 500 hp. 1 aoe => death of all 4 in a second. What's the point? This is a PvE skill to reduce wipe downtime.

The other element to consider is that you'll need to keep the paladin out of combat for it to work in a pvp environment, let alone the total state of vulterability the people you rezzed would be in. Yes, it is possible for it to work in pvp, but the chances of it happening are slim to none, as is the chance of a good opportunity to use it. That and usually if you're in a battle ground your insiginas are going to be taken.

That being said, Katzzing, the mana cost of this spell is 75% of your BASE mana, meaning the mana gained from intelect doesn't count towards the cost of this spell.

This is probably one of the un-implemented items in the database. It will probably be from a quest that doesn't exist, or tomb for the class that doesn't exist.

And to respond to the people who think the time is too short. Its not implemented, and out of combat, this is just a quick raise the dead raid after SS or ankh.

Well it's 1.5 second cast. I play Paladin/Rogue in 2v2. If I had that spell, if my rogue dies, I would make everythin possible to throw him this 1.5sec rez. (I can also cast bubble, which will make me go out of comba). Then he's back, re-stealth and I throw him back an heal and the fight is back. That spell is OP

On thottbot it says pally's get it when they reach 70..
My pally is 70 and there is no such thing....
also my guildie priests doesnt have it.

I have a 70 priest and I can guarantee that I don't have it. This needs to be removed, as it is NOT in game.

As for Keapea's post about it being the one in BGs, that is incorrect; the NPC one in BGs returns you with full health and mana, not a small amount, and I doubt there's any reason to put a combat conditional on it (as they cannot be attacked). Also, theirs has a "30 second cooldown" or "30 second cast" depending on how you want to look at it; they only rez everyone every 30 seconds. Theirs is also not limited to party members (as we are not in their party). So saying it's the NPC version is highly inaccurate.

This spell simply does not exist and needs to be removed from the database.

Edit: I also wanted to mention that this spell is listed as costing zero mana; anyone who believes that players would receive an already powerful spell with zero mana should get their head checked.

My best guess is that its a book drop much like the old skills were in AQ20. From where is anyones guess.

Kinda sad. It's a paladin spell from wc3 afterall. Specially since both races have it, wouldn't be overpowered in that light. Hope they reconsider it some day..

I don't understand why this was disallowed as a spell, as a holy priest I don't find this at all threatening to my spot in a raid, this just saves a little bit of time.. people uually !@#$ around for a good 10 minutes after a wipe anyhow.

it is my understanding that this is the spell which the spirit healers in BG's get. everything makes sense except for the 1.5 second cast time and the 50 yard range. but think about it, how overpowered would it be if in a BG, a huge fight took place, then two ppl on the same team were left standing and one of them just happened to be a pally? oops, the entire team is back up in 1.5 seconds. imo, the only way this would be fair would to make it like a 10 - 30 minute cooldown and to make it only usable while in instances or raids.

It is in the game - (all the private servers type .learn 32841). It isnt available to pallys. Priests and Pallys should both really have it. it shouldbt be allowed in BG's for the fact it would be over powered - a cooldown could change this, but there is more than 1 paladin in a BG so go figure. That would be the overall look at this entire thread on the topic of mass res. Enjoy your day people.
