This is a very handy talent to have if you've decided to go all-out damage spec. If you have quite a high crit chance with spells, this talent will let you deal quite some nice damage while melee-ing as well, because of the increased crit chance with weapons.

If you don't want to go Duel Wield spec as a shaman and only down to stormstrike you could spend the rest of your talents in elemental. Works very well with an enchantment shaman.

Yay for synergy. If you're deep Enhancement and plan to go full PvP spec this talent is definitely for you.

i'm confused about something: it says "offensive spell crits" does this include if your flametongue weapon crits? i usually use windfury in main hand and flametongue in off-hand (i calculated that flametongue does more damage in off-hand than dual-windfury) and thought if this talent procs when i get ANY spell crit, as in fiery weapon also, then this would really own.

does anyone have the answer to my question? i know that the clearcasting state does not activate after a flametongue crit, though; i'm afraid it's the same with this talent. although it is worded differently, with elemental focus it says: "after landing a critical strike with a frost, fire, or nature damage spell..." so i thought there is a hope :)

i think this talent becomes very viable for an dw enhancement shaman (20/41/0) with the usage of the Darkmoon Card: Wrath (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=31857#comments)
as the proc +spell crit is not consumed until you crit with a spell (irregardless if you crit melee)

elemental devestation is one of the worst talents that dumb shaman fall for on a consistent basis. as enhancement, which is the only spec that should find it useful you should only have about 7-9% crit maximum and the only spells you will be using to get these crits are shocks, so if you shock every 5 seconds on a 9% crit chance you will get this debuff once a minute, which is hardly worth it when your points can be better spent in mental quickness and go into the resto tree for nature guidance so you dont have to stack as much hit and can spend more gear on crit stacking a static debuff of maybe about 3% crit which averages out to be about 65% better than elemental devestation, otherwise if you are hit capped without natures guidance id still suggest putting points else where in enhancement and stopping at reverb bcuz its just an unreliable and worthless talent that desperately needs to be replaced with something new

Was there ever more of a waste of points? I mean if your enhancement with an elemental sub, earth shocking every 5 seconds (assuming you put 3 points into reverberation, why else sub ele?) with your 5% base crit (and it is at base with our enh gear) is going to proc this every 1.6 minutes. That is if you can manage to shock every 5 seconds. And with resilience, I don't know how many more points I'm willing to spend for any +crit abilities.

And if your elemental, what the heck are you doing swinging your weapon anyway?
