Also be aware that while in ghost wolf form you can be tracked by a hunter using 'Track Beasts' and will also be effected by any abilities that effect Beasts such as the flash bombs and hunter ability 'scare animal' which fear Beasts as well as the druid Hibernation spell which will put you to sleep.

A few fun things about ghostwolf, you can loot items such as chests, herbs, dead beasts, skinning and mining, and the crystals in Ungoro, also, two abilities cannot be cast on you while in the form, such as sapm, but also be aware that it can be dispellable

Another special thing about ghost wolf is that you cannot be sapped while in this form. Very useful when guarding AB flag alone for some rogues can Sap and Cap the flag. Oh btw, does anybody know Draeneis turn into? because that would be wierd cuz wolves are from Azeroth, not Outland.

I use my ghost wolf all the time, and I seem to get dazed more often. Is this just me, or does it have the same downside as a hunter's aspect of pack/cheetah?

With mining and perhaps skinning, the ghost wolf spell is removed. Not all work is in ghost wolf form possible. I know herb picking is possible in ghost form, because you don't need a tool for it.

According to the 2.4 patch notes, ghost wolf form's cast time to be reduced to 2 seconds. Which means that, when talented, it will be instant cast. I am speechless.

Strictly arena:
The instant ghost wolf buff is in my mind a huge buff. The one thing that shaman doesn't have is mobility. They are stationary casters like paladins. Paladins have BOF and cleanse to get rid of slow effects or immobilizing effects (frost novas and such), while shamans is left with frost shock (not a viable option in arena due to heavy earth shock spamming) and earthbind totem to keep the enemies from getting close.

Claiming the buff is useless because it doesn't remove snares is just wrong. Shamans has the best healing and MP5 (water shield is insane) in the game. A skilled shaman can keep a caster from casting anything at all with earth shock and grounding totem rotations.

My point is: Shamans will be the best healers in 2v2 with this buff and will improve in all brackets. Why is the impact so big you might ask? Well, with a instant boost in speed and LOS meaning so much in arena it gives shamans a huge advantage. In patch 2.4 we will have a shaman that instead of just outhealing its opponents, can outrun them like a druid. If you combine that with the great tools shaman has we have a unstoppable healer that will run around and popping out of GW when a totem, interrupt, heal, purge or anything like that is needed then back with +40% run speed and hide behind a pillar

I will be playing my friends shamans alot more often in arena after 2.4 that's for sure!

You can block (if you have a shield equipted) in ghost wolf form.

When you shift to Ghost Wolf form, you will attack with your weapon(s), but your weapon skills will get maxed out. This will prevent you to gain weapon skill points, but you will do full damage with them.

Bad sides:
Can be disspelled.
Is slower than mounts.
Good sides:
1sec cast time w/ talents.
When it gets dispelled, you instantly know that someone's after you, AND their possible class.
I've heard it's sap-proof, since you're a beast when it is cast.
Cannot be 'kicked off' like you would a mount. Only dispellable.

More good than bad, and definately useful for 20-29 and 30-39. Shamans make awesome interceptors for WSG at these levels... almost as good as druids. I'm not a druid fan, but I have to say druids are better interceptors.

And at Boyman, no quest. You just buy the spell (thankfully). I hate spells you have to quest for >.>

You wouldn't believe how many druids I've killed in my lifetime. For each class, it takes a different mindset and talent (not talent points, for those who don't know what I'm talkin' bout XD). Some say that hunters are the easiest class to play, since they level fast. The good hunters can kick total ass. The bad ones phail. Some say warriors are the easiest, because most claim they're the most basic. Good warriors can kill like a rogue. Once again, bad ones get their asses kicked. Some say mages are the easiest--kill the mob before they attack. Good mages will keep you frozen in place, bad ones get their cloth armor torn to shreds.

Any class requires skill to play. So why don't you stfu and let people do their thing? Your comment just tells me that you have no talent with druids, and tell yourself it's just tough, and that you are the ultimate player.

Since TBC, shamans got nerfed 'cus Bliz was sick of getting angry emails from paladins. They tried to level it out--they even gave us the same amounts of rogue-playing races, shaman/paladin races, all this crap. PLUS the nerfs...
I don't really care. I pwn hard anyway, because I have skill with shamans.

Druids will never have the power of other classes. It is their versitility that they actually USE. They've gotta morph a lot to meet the situation, or they're just like squishy mobs.

Blizz made em at the same time, so neither is a knockoff. If anything, both of them are knockoffs of mounts.

PvPers constantly say that Elemental shamans are the best for PvP. I've had no problem with Enhancement PvP--as a matter of fact, I PREFER it Enhancement. That may be just a talent issue (no 'talent line' pun intended), but it's just another point to prove that anyone with any spec can do anything. Some will be better than others, but it's all skill-oriented.

If anyone disagrees with these posts, tell me. Because I've had experience with all classes, and fell in love with my shaman.(##RESPBREAK##)272##DELIM##Uchur##DELIM##

Shamans are expensive. You who play shamans, might already know. Its a ton of totems, LOADS of totems. And there all expensive.

Ghost wolf is useful for faster travels between level 20-40, and at level 40 things get expensive to a shaman. Therefore, getting a level 60 epic mount is even harder, and getting flying mount at level 70... Real hard. At least for me, i have a 70 shaman. And i know all the spells are expensive, and i thought... Because of the shamans getting so badly nerfed after TBC, we should have had our own flight form. Atleast a 60% speed one, like... Ghost-owl? Or not to steal anything from the druids, a Ghost-falcon maybe. I don't know, but i'd love that about shamans. I barely play my shaman anymore, cause i realised people don't want them for anything but healers. At least not in some instances, but other dps classes are much preffered as dps above a shaman.

I don't know, you who play shaman - You might have experienced all thoose totems as expensive or what?

how a lvl 41+ enha shaman can rock in PvP in this form:
chose the thing 2 sec reducer in talent tree
put stormstrike, str totem agi totem and earth shock
and enter GW form, u will now move faster
cuz jou have dual wield jou run a bit around till SS is CDed
repeat until target dead

this is great against casters and melee coz u smaller and harder to see,target,and cast

Straight from test realm patch notes:

"Ghost Wolf: Cast time reduced to 2 seconds, down from 3."

I see nothing about them changing the talent tree, so I'm thinking that ghost wolf will be INSTANT CAST with the talents.

This will make shamans have more armor and more HP (generally) than druids in cheetah form, and make them good competition for flag carrying. They aren't going to be as good at healing themselves while running, and don't have things like feral charge, but having an instant cast global cooldown snare dispell is uber. This can also make resto shamans kite as well as druids, in arena settings.

I think it's a -huge- buff.

I am just wondering how you obtain the ghost wolf form, is it a quest or is it just a trainer spell, if it is anything like the fire totem quest i am going to start hating my shaman, but they are alot of fun.

I haven't been able to find a pic, but the speed boost is well worth it. I also heard that you keep your weapon attack damage and Rockbiter Weapon enchantment still works, but not Firebrand, Frostbrand, or Wind Fury. Can anyone verify this?

Ok, in lvl 20-29 WsG on the Sylvanas server there's two shamans, one orc and one tauren. A whole raid group is defending the flag, these two come in and take it, no problem-o. First they jump on from the roof, one takes the flag. They set up 2 earthbinders and wolf form outta there. There's no chance that anyone would catch them.
Nerf shamys plz.

The Ghost Wolf is not something impressive really. No offense to other shamans, but I didn't find being a transparent wolf anything impressive. Basicly, it looks like a tan-colored Wolf thats see through. Nothing big.

I just made a shammy and can't wait for it.. but why nerf shammys? why should we have to sit and do nothing while a pally bubble hearths or a rogue sprints or a hunter lays ice trap - we all have our abilties that make the class the actual class!.. Take away a mages Frost Spells and they can't kite.. no frost nova frostbolt = owned it doesnt mean they should nerf it becasuse it's so good.. so never say nerf.. and + im an Alliance and im saying this so yeah..

I was on a trial account i had before i got the full version and i was one level away from Ghost Wolf form and the account days were up it made me so MAD!

As of 2/12/20201, Ghostwolf can *still* be dispelled. As one of our only solid defensives, this seems a bit much.
