Blind is an ability that I never PvP without. It can get expensive at times to create, depending on your server's prices, but it is worth it! It has saved me countless times in situations where my opponent tries to run away, or if I need to run away myself.

1 Fadeleaf creates 3 Blind Powders, so it is really not that bad.

You can also blind paladins when they BoP which can make/break a fight since you can keep the paladin from healing while in that BoP. Very handy imo.

I've also used it many a time to catch up to someone who is just out of melee range. This ability is too often underused for the amount of usefulness that it has.

With one of the semi-recent patches, pickpocketing can yield lockboxes that contain rogue reagents, including blinding powder, so if you're not an herbalist and refuse to pay exorbitant AH prices, you can go pickpocketing to feed your pvp habit.

This ability is amazing. Think of Hammer of Judgement (or repentance) only for rogues, and with an added twist. You can stun your enemy for 10 seconds, allowing you to heal yourself with bandages AND because the enemy can't take agressive action against you, you lose combat, allowing you to restealth.

Blind can be disrupted by Dot's though, so don't use it if your enemy is taking damage over time, it'd just waste the reagent. Also, this ability counts as a "poison" effect, so it can be stone-skinned out of with dwarves or cleansed from allies with abilities and items.
It should be noted that if you take the talent "Elusiveness" (in subtlety) the cooldown is reduced by 1.5minutes, giving it a 1min 30 seconds cooldown, making it one of the most useful and useable abilities in a rogue's arsenal.

In patch 2.2.0 blind dont need blinding powder to be used ant its not a poison anymore so it can be stopper by spells like stoneform!

Useful for stunlocks 1v1 pvp. DoTs like rupture and garrote may interrupt this effect.

Oof! Sap + Blind is 20 sec of PvP CC.

If thats not enough to kill the unlucky 2v1'd dude in arena then you probably should reconsider a few things, namely your partner ;)

Anyway, the skill is useful in PvE as well, if, say, you do a bad pull in a heroic or what-not, or your hunter needs time to reapply his trap.

Blind is considered a ranged attack, so it can miss, but it can't be dodged.

Whether or not it is improved by one's chance to hit or hit rating, I'm not sure. I have a sinking feeling, however, that the chances of landing a Blind is reduced by class talents like Heightened Senses, Arctic Winds, and Improved Blink, but not improved by one's chance to hit.

Although it's a physical attack, it's also considered a "disorient," and as far as I know there are no disorient resists in the game. But if there were, then I think another dice would roll for resisting disorients. Otherwise, it can't be resisted.

I think the reason why I think Blind is not improved by hit rating is for the same reason that landing a Cheap Shot or Kidney Shot successfully is not improved by one's hit rating, and yet the chances for a stun to land successfully is reduced by the passive universal 5% resist, talents like Iron Will, the orc racial, and the meta gem.

In vanilla WoW Blind is considered a poison which means it is dispellable with spells such as Abolish Poison Cleanse and Poison Cleansing Totem.

If you happen to roll a dwarf, you're in a lucky position, since Stoneform will also dispell blind on you.

I believe in patch 2.3 they are removing the Blinding Powder reagant, and making this a physical ability instead of a poison.

As with a lot of spells In Vanilla Blind requires a thing called a reagent In the case of blind the item needed for this spell is Blinding Powder Which can be brought from specific vendor's and also created by players from Fadeleaf provided the player has the right profession.
