Part five of the Ring of Blood quest series. This is definitely the hardest part in the whole quest line. This mob spawns OUTSIDE of the arena, and walks into it via the only entrance. Have your group inside the arena and your tank positioned facing the entrance. This boss will Mortal Strike, randomly charge group members, and hits extremely hard. Healers are going to have to be on the ball for this one. If you can take this one down, the next portion will be yours.

Be aware that the Ring of Blood quests behave like escort quests, and you have to turn them in before you die or log off otherwise they'll come back as failed.

You can make your healers stand on the edge of the spikes around the arena and he won't be able to charge and one shot them, also helps to have a ton of people to help ;)

He spawns in the middle of the arena. only the last boss comes down from the side.
He hits extremely hard. extremely. im a 68 pally and had 10K armor with over 7000 health and he killed me in two hits. one for roughly 2000 and another for 5200. you defintely need the other group paying attention or your 5-man will wipe. he is the hardest out of all the npcs you have to fight.

I was tanking at level 67, we finally took him on the second try. First try he MS'ed me for 4.3k (blocked 87 of it, so not a crit) then hit two more times for 1.5k quickly afterwards and took all of my nearly 8k HP in 3-4 seconds. With the big hits and MS debuff you need some really good healing. Second time we had a healer out of group healing me and it was a lot easier.

No obvious tactics over having a big health pool and a very good healer.

I don't know why you all insist that you need a _very good_ healer or 2 healers for this fight. We did it with one healer (feral druid, at that) and 2 tanks (warrior and druid).

Just keep an eye out for the MS debuff and have the off-tank (druid in our case) taunt him when the "main tank" has Mortal Strike on. Lot easier for the tank and even more easier for the healer, who doesn't have to spam all his mana due to reduced healing effect.

we did this with 65 mage (me) 67 balance druid as healer 70 warrior as tank another warrior lvl 68 and rogue lvl 70 druid ran out of mana in the end and warrior was close to die but my spell crittet and killed him :D

Brought him down on the 3rd try with 67 frost mage and 66 MM hunter. It was quite hard for a small group, but finally brought him down. Frost mage took the agro and hunter run and wing cliped and meleed. When the mage runs out of mana just frost trapped and drinked mana and bandaged.

By the way he hits realy hard on cloth about 2.5k and 1.4k on mail armor.

I'm guessing that this fight was nerfed, because with a five man group (three dps a tank and a healer) I took him down just fine. As the tank, i had 8400 armor and 9400 health at lvl 65, and the healer was competent and up to the task. He wasn't hitting nearly as hard as previous posters were saying. Make sure that the healer can heal through the debuff though, because it almost got me killed.

Bring atleast one backup healer. If your tank is a nubcake, bring more. The most difficult part of the fight is to keep the tank alive because of the outlandish damage this boss can deal.

I recommend getting a full group willing to run the whole thing, if they can't stay for the whole thing, then might be issues later.

The Ring of Blood: Brokentoe

Clefthoof, straight forwad fight, tank and spank.

The Ring of Blood: The Blue Brothers

Twins (Lost Ones I think), tank and offtank unless MT is 70 or can take quite a beating. Even a pet will do as long as the healer heals it. Otherwise, tank and spank.

The Ring of Blood: Rokdar the Sundered Lord

Rock Giant. He has a knockback and hits a bit hard. Otherwise, tank and spank.

The Ring of Blood: Skra'gath

A Voidwalker, aggro difficult to maintain, I am not sure why, he will randomly go after other people in the group. Otherwise, tank and spank.

The Ring of Blood: The Warmaul Champion

Etheral. This is probably the most difficult fight. He has mortal strike which hits for quite a bit (this nerfs ALL heal effects for those who aren't sure), a specialized healer is highly reccomended. He also charges people at random (little damage) and goes right back to the tank. This also has a stun effect when he charges you. So healer don't be the furthest away or you will be stunned.

The Ring of Blood: The Final Challenge

Basic fight. He's a Shaman, someone should be on totem duty (instant cast/hunter). His shocks hurt mildly. He DOES heal at least once, He is immune to counterspell and silencing shot group.

He resses once and you have to fight him again. Otherwise, he's a fairly easy fight.

hits well geared tanks(prot) for about 1.8k from ms. if your tank isnt crittable then it is one of the easiest step of all

Yeah, this guy hits for a ton. I think his MS hits normally for 3-4k on the tank, crit for 6-7k. We handled everything else fine, but recruited an extra healer just to throw heals on our warrior. Had 65 priest, 65 druid (although feral specced) and 65 elemental shaman ripping off the healing. We had wiped twice before and he hit (not a crit!) the priest for 7k with his MS. Ouch. If your tank dies, you're hosed, it's that simple. Just reset and do it again.

But the staff of beasts is so sexy, I didn't care about th 7g repair bill afterwards (plus you get 11g every step of this quest chain anyway). The only thing about this quest chain, is stay away from stupid people who are doing it. The opposing faction was there doing this while we were trying to do ours and they kept training this guy all over the place and trying to pawn him off on us. They must have failed this part 8 times (causing our group to wipe twice). I would suggest just reserving a spot in line and then staying well clear until the guys before you are done, especially if they're idiots.

Yes, he is by FAR the hardest, and you have to kill the last guy TWICE. He was MSing our fully buffed, well geared, 10K HP Warrior for 5-6K (dont know if thats a crit, but his life went down to 4-5Kish in 1 hit), and he stacks up the sunders. We had a well geared frost mage as main DPS with a ok geared ret. pally as backup. Decent geared priest and pretty well geared pally (me) on heal duty. It was a chore keeping the MT up, drank 2 times during the encounter (yes, was that long) and I had almoist 7K mana which is an ass-ton with a good talented holy pally and over 600 +heal. If you can defeat this guy, the last guy is nubesauce. Good Luck!

This boss is the hardest one in all chain.U will definetly need help from other ppl that are doing the same q...Either it is ally or horde...help each others and u will be able to get some rly neat rewards!

Died and got rezzed twice tanking this guy, Had just over 12k armor and 9k health when we got to him and he hit me for 3k right off the bat.

Not easy, and this was compounded by the fact that a few(a large amount) of people stood and watched whilst others tried to help. Was $%^&ing hilarious to see Him head for the crowds when we wiped and one shot half of the bastards tho :P

He's very doable without a backup healer. I'm a feral druid, and I did this with 2 warriors and 2 rogues (what a combo, hehe). I was really worried, as I am by no means an uber healbot, but my group was great and we knocked the entire series out no problem. This guy was definitely the hardest (he was the only one I had to use innervate for) but it was still an incredibly smooth operation, and we didn't have any spectators to help us. The only issue worth mentioning is that he does randomly charge the farthest person away from him every few seconds. I was knocked down three times before we killed him, but I didn't take too much damage from it, as he immediately went back to the MT once I was on my back.

It could be that my group was really well-geared and I just wasn't paying attention. At the very least they definitely knew what they were doing and made my job easy.

Logging out before handing in this quest will result in the quest being FAILED
I didnt it in the last stage of the chain, and had to redo that stage
