You can use the item he provides if you want, but it's far easy to just run along the mountain range extending from the Throne of the Elements to Laughing Skull Ruins. Two passes along here at most will easily get you enough cores. They drop at about a 75% rate.

You can toss the item after the quest is complete as well.

i was farming halaani basin, around 44,50, i would also recommend going in the little pond nearby and doing muck diving, the drops for this quest dropped quite often, only had to do about 20 kills to get all of them

I found them really close to the quest giver along the mountainside at 56.18. Just follow the mountain side and u should be able to get them all fairly easily :)

Down inside the valley at 56,52 worked perfectly. I didn't get them all on the first round, but I was able to kill the Windrocs for Nesingwary while I waited for the Enraged Crushers to respawn.

Confirmed coords at 56, 18. They are on the northern mountain side to the west of Throne of Elements area. Drop rate is 100%, so that is nice

For some reason I got 0 drops from the Enraged Crushers in Telaari Basin, but I got 100% drop rate from the Enraged Crushers in Halaani Basin, between the western most Bomb Wagon and Southwind Cleft.

My experience at 57,53

Make sure you look at the map and head in right next to the Ring of Trials located at 66,53 otherwise youll be running around the canyon looking for a way to get in. The mobs are easy (agressive) the only other mobs around are some lvl 64 Windroc birds who are (passive). The spawn rate wasn't extremely fast for the Enraged Crushers, I killed about 9 and waited around for the others to spawn. There are a few fel iron deposits down here as well.

Down inside the valley at 56,52 was a good spot but make sure you dont go to far east as there are tortured earth spirits that look the same but dont drop the item.

The cores are a 100% drop rate with the quest. Basically, you just have to kill 15 Enraged Crushers.

I stayed in the northern 4 areas west of the "throne" -- you do have to visit more than one place, but theyre pretty easy to kill and i had 100% drop rate on the cores

55.20 and work your way west, i agree, best way to do this, the areas around halaa only have small mobs and you'll end up waiting for spawns.

Telaari Basin just west of Ring of Trials perfect for getting them. No one ever there and great drop rate.
Picked up 3 greens while killing them.

Go directly west of the quest giver, to 56,18, kill about 5 there. Goto 44,20 to the southern end of the mote by Halaa and kill about 5. By now you can go back up to 56,18 and kill the last five and turn the quest in.

This is a drop quest indeed and not a slay quest.
Killing Enraged Crushers will give you Enraged Crusher Core. 70,70% drop rate calculated at most cases.
Found my first one @ 47,49

Most of the locations in the postings are correct but when you pickup the quest you get Gordawg's imprint.

When you open that imprint you see a map of Nagrand with the locations of the Enraged Crushers.

I used the map that you get from the questgiver, I kept that window open all the time and compared the image to what I saw on the minimap to find the Enraged Crushers. Worked perfectly, the map was very accurate. I started going west and then continued counterclockwise and found the mobs where I expected them to be. When I was near the end of my journey I noticed that I would be 1 Enraged Crusher Core short and thought I had forgot to loot one of them but when I controlled the map i realized that there were only 14 marks on the map. That problem solved itself because when I went down into the canyon where the fourteenth and eastmost mark on the map was i found 3 Enraged Crushers there. 15 kills, 15 drops so for me the droprate was 100%.

You can of course kill some at a spot and then wait for respawn (for that I would recommend the canyon where the eastmost mark is) but I found my way funnier.
