I found Targ to be the hardest of the three, soloing them all as a at level mage.
His stomp can be a factor in whether you beat him or not. I found a nice pathing exploit that happens just outside the church hes found at.
If you clear the two buildings just outside the church, use the one on the left (if your facing the church), to pull him into. If your in the the house and move all the way back off the ledge, youll see that he (and any other mob) will not just walk off like you did. They have to go around to the corner.
So for a clothy or any ranged, you can just jump back and forth from the ledge and hit him while he's running around.
I died twice to him on normal pulls, all within 5% or less on his health, so I didnt want to mess around again :P

Targ was the hardest to solo on my 41 Arms Warr. Had to burn a Superior Healing Pot to beat him :) Hope this info helps

This is absolutely soloable as a Warlock (Full affliction level 42). Use the Voidwalker, and be careful with applying DoTs. When Nightfall procs, it's up to you whether or not to use it, but if you just keep DoTs (that is, Siphon Life, CoA, Corruption) on him at all times, heal the voidwalker, life drain, life tap, life drain and repeat, this should be no problem (having Death Coil helps for damage on him and healing you). This was the first try and it worked immediately. Pulling should be done with Curse of Exhaustion/Weakness if you don't have Exhaustion.
If all works out well, you should get no aggro (if you decide never to use your Shadow Trances) or only at about 20%.

Just soloed Targ as a 42 Sub spec Rogue. I preped him, then garrote, ghostly strike, and rupture. After that I suggest no more DoT's, because he hits hard and I had to blind him then bandage myself. Used my Defiler's Talisman to absorb damage, after that I popped evasions and then it was just slice and dice and killed him with about 400hps or so left. And Muckrake is fairly easy to solo as well, didn't have to do anything special, just used DoT's on him, same with Glommus. So soloing as a 42 sub spec rogue is possible.

I solod this as a Level 40 Balanced Druid.
I find Targ the hardest to solo just because you have to clear the area around his building so you don´t get agro from the other ogres that are around.
I had to try twice to take him down and both times I got other mobs agro on me, don´t know if he calls for help or something when get low on life.
Other then that none of them have any resistanse so you can just use entangling roots on them, pop a few starfires to their head and repeat.
I usually had time to starfire three times before I had to entangle them again and if you are runing low on mana just go into direbear form and finish the job.

Solo'ed Muckrake and Glum as a 39 Blood Elf Paladin, Prot spec'ed. Got Targ to 1/4th but could not finish solo. good luck.

Ever notice the threads with th highest Rating are the ones with just good old Information like where these guys are , How many mobs around them , stuff like that . Because nobody cares that you think you are so wonderful and can SOLO with your lvl 1 Priest bank mule wearing no armor

As you face the Town Hall - the small house is to the right and below you and the Church is to the left and slightly behind you.

They can be found all over the elite area, either in a small house or in the town hall. Don't go into the castle for this quest as none of these three will be in there.

Btw, Targ was the most difficult one with almost 8000 health. The others were a walk in the park.

1. muckrake - muckrake is in the large building in the very middle, you will see it as soon as you walk in. in my opinion he is the easiest of the 3.

2. glommus - you will find him in a small house to the left of the main town building or when you ar coming in he is down the road and to the right. id say he is in the middle.

3. targ - targ is found in the tall church building, down the road and to the left of the entrance and to the right if your coming out of the large middle building. in my opinion he is by far the hardest. we killed each other at the exact same time and i used evasion 2 times

The MOBS in this area have a ridiculous SPAWN rate and they have an attack skill that causes you or your pet to run and drag more into the fray, it is hard enough even they are no longer elite.

Watch out for that 39 Elite Mage, he is a paid also as he patrols in front of the Church.

I have not seen a spawn rate like thi since Outland!

Crappy gear, but was able to get to them without fighting mobs.. just dodge the aggro range diligently.

Tarq and Muckrake can be fought in muckrake's spawn area as there's quite some space inside for fearing. Keep SwP up, fear, mindflay, when he comes back and scream on cooldown, do a mindblast and mindflay until scream. Reapeat until dead.

As for glommus, i would suggest clearing the half-destroyed watchtower opposite his location as the house is too small for angle view. just 1 or 2 mobs inside. Then just kite it there and repeat the MO for Tarq and Muckrake.

Btw, there's another named mob there for alliance. So probably you'll get some fresh meat.

I did this just for fun and some UC rep while waiting Alterac Valley, heh, no problems at all with 60 priest.

There seems to be lot quests for UC rep,, not so boring to wait in queue. :)

Very hard even as a 41 warrior. I'm pretty dang decked out for my level. Im not a twink or anything but id consider myself very well geared.

Chest -> Carapace of Tuten'Kash (from RFD)
Bracer -> Berserker Bracers (lvl 40 pvp epic)
Boots -> Defiler's Plate Greaves (lvl 40 pvp blue)
Helm, Shoulder, Leggins, Gloves - all from either Herod in SM:Armory or Morgraine from SM:Cathedral
Decent neck, 2 nice rings (Truesilver commander's ring and Silverlaine's Family Seal)
Had just gotten: Vanquisher's Sword and Sword of Omen from the SM & RFD quest lines (no enchants on them yet). Also had Whirlwind Axe w/ firey.

Just listing gear so that if your a warrior you can measure yourself up.

Muckrake can be hard because he disarms ALOT. If your going 2h then well can you say no DPS for several seconds. He will probably disarm you 2-4 times before you can kill him. Also he can disarm you even if you disarm him first. Took him down on my second try (first try he got bugged in the doorway and somehow "you are not in sight of the target" or whatever message yet he was still able to pwn me. So I had to run away to come back. Was very close. Was dual wield for that fight.

Glommus doesnt do anything special - but was still difficult. Killed him without using any special cooldowns or potions but had about 200 hitpoints left. Was dual wield for that fight.

Targ is hard as hell. I got him on my second attempt - he splatterd me on my first - though I got him down to about 300-400 hit points before I died. I first attempted Dual wield on my first attempt. For my second attempt I switched to my whirlwind axe for bigger overpower and execute attacks. I made sure I was buffed with battleshout and then charged in. I kept demoralizing shout and thunderclap up on him the whole time (I have imp 3/3 thunderclap so it slows his attack speed by 20% which is nice). Then I just kept Sunder Armor on him when I had the rage until he was 5/5 sunder armor. I popped a greater healing pot early on. Then I switched to defensive stance (I have 2/3 tactical mastery so when i switch i keep 20 rage) while i was still low on rage and then disarmed him. Back to battlestance (I think battlestance is preferable to beserket stance in this fight because you take 10% less damage and can use overpower). Then once i had full sunder armor on him, and he was disarmed - I popped my blood rage orc racial, and then death wish and the used heroic strike whenever I had the rage.

I then renewed my thunderclap and demoralizing shout. At this point I was at about 500 hitpoints and he still had around 2k - so I definately wasnt going to make it. I saved up some rage and used intimidating shout and then stepped back and bandaged myself while he was feared. I had to renew my 5/5 sunder armor once, and basically just kept heroic striking whenever I had the rage. When I got him below 20% health - I stopped heroic striking and saved up about 50 rage and then executed him for about 1k.

In the end I lived with about 200 hitpoints - so VERY close fight. This is my first warrior so maybe I made some mistakes in my strategies - but it worked for me - it was just very hard. Not the lawl fear, dot dot, fear time that my lock did when he strolled through this quest.

Locations from kath are correct. Easy for me as a shadow priest at 44. Very easy kills really, no health lost cudnt get thru my shield. No real need for tactics jst power thru them.

This is not easily soloable as a warrior. Tried (lvl45), and could only take one before having used up last stand and retaliation. Much easier if you team up with one other guy.

All 3 named mobs are in the Aterac Ruins area (aprox 45, 46).

Found all 3 inside different structures...inn, tower, house.

As someone else said, mind the pathing Elite mob.

I'm going to assume that this quest got significantly easier after the last patch. As a lvl 37 Proto Pally Glommus (lvl 39) was a yellow mob and so is the roving elite. If you're careful you'll never have to fight more than one at a time. I wouldn't be scared off from reading the other posts. Most people will be able to solo this from lvl 37 or 38 on.

Enter the ruins at the front gate. Muckrake is in the building dead ahead. Targ is in a building to the left (watch out for three nasty patrols, here!). Glommus is in a building off to the right. You can get to Glommus most easily by climbing up a hill and over a wall over there, instead of starting at the gate. If you've already gotten one of the other lieutenants, though, you might as well go directly for him.

None of these guys have escorts. If you clear the ogres around their buildings, they'll be alone and are easy kills.

My attempts to solo this as a 38 Shammy have been nearly successful. I work in my mana-conservation mode (so I can save potions for the three bosses) and slowly pick off the mobs one-by-one. Lightning Bolt to pull, then Stoneskin, Searing, and Healing Stream totems with Lightning Shield and Flametongue (I have spell + equip). If you play it right, you don't use up more than a couple hundred mana each mob, easy enough to regen while you heal up. For the mages, Grounding totem + Earth Shock, when timed right, means they never get a spell off. Just use the same strategy as before while they melee.

Managed to pick off Glommus by taking out the surrounding mobs (careful for patrols and high aggro radius) and then using my standard strategy on him. War Stomp gives me a 2-second lead for Healing Wave, which is great in tight spots. After I gor Glommus, I took down Muckrake in the same way.

As for Targ... he's the highest level (41 elite), and I think I might have been able to pull it off one on one. There were just too many mobs nearby, including a named 39 Mage who is much harder than the standard ones. I recommend waiting until 39-40 to attempt it, and be sure to carry lotsa food and drinks, not to mention potions.

left this quest till lvl 47, lol my rogue owned everyone of em with 800-1200 hp left (i had 1900hp alone, with only my equipment, no group), the whole thing is pritty easy when ur going in a rogue but i'm still tryin 2 find glommas guy

Muckrake - 38.6, 46.8 in house that's a straight shot from main gate
Targ - 39.6, 52.9 if you follow the path to the west, first house on left
Glommus - 39.5, 41.8 if you follow the path to the east, it's the first house kinda down the hill

Did this solo as a level 43 feral druid tank. It is slow going but you get wrecked at this level as a feral dps cat even though you do more damage that way.

First two were not difficult, i had my druid buffs plus a food buff and just standard fairie fire, moonfire, and grind down using maul. Got a bit low on health for second guy muckrake but was doable.

Targ was much harder and I had to not only use same buffs as above but also an armor scroll I had laying around. I had to heal twice during the fight. First was using tauren racial stomp so i could cast a self heal and back to tank form as all my rage was being used for maul. Near about 1/4 of his health left i popped a superior healing potion and hit him with faierie fire again and ground him down. I had hardly any health left. Not bad though.
