Donova explains that the pond next to her have some kind of strange power. When she throws in an item it has improved when she retrives it. This is a reference to "The Legend of Zelda A Link To The Past" Where Link throws in his boomerang, his shield and finaly his sword in a magic pond to upgrade them

for those with lighthead this is the 3th part of you need to travel to Winterspring and Donova Snowden is located (31, 45) just south of the cave.

I suggest leaving this whole quest line or atleast the last 7 quests until you hit 57. It is very easy XP and will make your gola of getitng to outlands all that bit easier.

It starts at a boat. Head to the marshy area in the southeast part of Un'goro crater. There are two separated ponds all the way to the south. The east one has a little island in it (see map) and the west one has Linken's raft.

The raft is on the north shore of this pond. Examine it and then swim right there to the bottom of the pond and find a pack. Open it and empty the contents. Return to Linken... and so begin's the great trek.

is there any other way into Winterspring besides through Felwood? I cant get through the tunnel at lvl 50 because of the furbolgs (or w/e they are called)

Guys, if you want to know were the quest begins, then post that in the first part of the chain!I'm here without any coord mod b/c of new patch and the whole thing is spammed with "Its by a boat"... ask that in teh begining! not the 3rd chain down!

Got through as a 50 lock with fel guard.. just decided that upon dying run as far as I could through and res'd a few times.. the nifty stopwatch helped.. not the best way to do it but solo it worked.

Just do the rep quest. You only have to kill just over a dozen mobs and after that you can go through the tunnel into Winterspring whenever you want without any trouble whatsoever.

Confirmed coords are at 31, 45. To get through Felwood village do exactly what philaster said. Don't bypass the quests in Felwood, when you complete the Rep quest you gain trust with the furbolgs and they do not attack you. Very easy quest, You can run straight through the village anytime you want too.

im a lvl 49 hunter and i made it through the cave only having to die once..i had a major healing potion and my pet to help me along the way too so i didn't die alot

After turning in the sword, she throws the sword into the water and says that whenever she throws something into the water, it has improved incredibly once she retrieves it. Is there anything that we can do to improve anything? Is this a hint?

abandon this quest now i started traving near winterspring in the water near the mountains i died in the water to see if id respawn in winterspring and it respwaneded me in barrens:(

If you do not hae a flight path to winterspring. What is the closes flightpath to take to there. I am stuck in the mountains now tring to figure how you get into winter spring?

This quest has you going to talk to Donova Snowden in Winterspring. There is also another quest in Un'Goro that has you going to Winterspring to talk to Donova. The quest is "Finding the Source." Do both these quests b4 you take off for Winterspring or you will hafta make two trips. I found out the hard way and am very upset. I get so aggravated at all of the traveling required in WoW.

At lvl 49 I got 7350 xp for taking the sword to her.
While coordinates are great, having a physical description is WONDERFUL..that way if the coords are off or someone doesn't have that addon. JMO

Found her just where the coord said. Easy to get to.

But I gotta say, she remindes me of Elsa, Shewolf of the SS the way they got her hair n clothes.

Co-ords 31,45 are right. Make sure you get the Elixir quest from her after she is finished with the sword and her Furbolog killing quest partly doubles with Sarfina's (or whoever - the chick outside the cave) killing quest.

The feathers for the second Rut'theran feather quest are also all over the place near her. I got all 10 in about 5 minutes (including respawns)

I dont know what to say to u ppl...blizzard pay homage to their own games, and the ones we all grew up on (those of us that have grown up), in thousands of places throughout WoW, if u feel the need to post about how "lame" it is, then yes, STFU.

For people using Cosmos or Tian - 31,45.

If you haven't visited Winterspring before you need to the Timbermaw Ally quest to lower your reputation with the Timbermaws to unfriendly. I found if you do the quest twice this will lower your rep to unfriendly which will allow you to pass through unmolested or you can run through if feel like a challenge.

Donova Snowden in Winterspring is located just to the right when you exit the caves (Timbermaw Hold) and enters Winterspring. She has her little tent beside a hot spring.

this is where the quest log on WOW starts to leave out a part. Donova does not hand you back the sword but gives you the Videre Elixer quest - it is real important when you get the Elixer to go back to Donova, she uses one elixer for the sword, that leaves you 2 to drink when you get to the gravesite.

The entrance to Winterspring is the tunnel in northern Felwood at 65,7. To pass through the tunnel, without fighting, complete Deadwood of the North obtained at the tunnel entrance, and reduce your reputation with Timbermaw from Hostile to Unfriendly which is enough to stop them attacking you on sight. The Deadwood Ritual Totem should drop while killing Deadwood Furblogs also.

You see, I have no idea how I ended up here. No one really knows -- it's a secret to everybody! I just can't seem to remember anything...

These items you brought to me, though... I am remembering something.

My sword. I am supposed to strengthen it somehow, but I'm really not sure why. Sorry I can't tell you more, but I just don't remember!

Anyhoo, I do know where you can take it -- Donova Snowden in Winterspring. You'll find her by the hot springs. She can temper the sword by the pools there.
