All you have to do is go to the Swamp of Sorrows and begin to swim out towards the temple, and you will see the quest complete text come up. Easy Cheesy.

Make your hearthstone go to SW. This way you can "Explore" the temple, then hearth to SW.

From Duskwood I took the road east. Cross through Blasted lands and then into Swamp of Sorrows. At the fork I took the road to the left, went a little too north, but just tracked through the swamps quickly. All you have to do is swim towards the Temple around 69,54 and you will complete the Quest. Then go back to Stormwind to hand in and continue the chain....

I found the temple at coor:69,44 Swamp of Sorrows. I am guessing anywhere in the area of the temple will make the quest complete.

Brohann is at 64,20 SWC Dwarven district.
I received 3600exp, and 250 IF rep at lvl46 ally shaman.

I have no idea why this is listed as group, entered the pool from the north and swam 2 strokes and the "Quest Complete" sounded. Too easy

I think it is listed as a group quest , because prior to patch 2.0 the dragons in the area were all elite. At least that is what i remember from reading the comments of other people reguarding the area in question(comments were in reguards to farming dragonscales off mobs in the area)

I started this quest at level 38 but it only appeared after i did the quest from the Dwarf next to him which sends you into the undead section of the Deadmines to get the medallion and union cards,so try talking to the Dwarf in the center before talking to the Dwarf near the door.

I just did this quest. Walked through Deadwind Pass, took the 1st left & the quest showed up as completed.

Though it would not let me complete it when I went back to the guy I got it from. And it doesnt say in my quest log that its completed, just came up at the side of the screen to say I had completed it, that Id found it.

Very strange, maybe its a glitch. Any1 else had this problem?

I concur with the player who said the reason this is a group quest is because the Dragonkin in the area used to be elite.

All you have to do is swim into the water around the temple and you will get a "complete" message.

I did this as lvl 40 rogue. Went to Deadwind Pass, got killed by a lvl? ended up in graveyard outside Karazhan. Wisped to graveyard near Pool of Tears, logged out and back in, rezzed there. Stealthed into Pool, completed quest. Hearth was only half cooled down, so I got killed again, wisped to Darkshire graveyard, logged out and back in, rezzed and flew back to Stormwind.
Logging out is important if you are rezzing at a graveyard other than the one you got sent to. If you don't log out and back in, you'll end up back in the first graveyard anyway.

I don't know how people are just walking through Deadwind Pass. There are lvl? all over the place.

Okay, seeing as no one is really giving directions to this place, other than posting coordinates that some people still can't use....here is how you get there....WITHOUT coords.

From Darkshire, head east into Deadwind Pass. When the road forks, head to the left, continue Northeast over the river If the road forks and you see mobs, go in the direction where there are none. You should not have to fight ANYTHING to get through Deadwind Pass. Basically, you are cutting straight across (left to right) Deadwind Pass and cross into Swamp of Sorrows.

From there, you can follow the road down into the Swamp of Sorrows. It will fork. At this fork, I suggest cutting straight across the swamp itself rather than following one of the two roads. The road to the right ends at Stonard, complete with lvl ? guards. There are also Stonard scouts along the path who will flag you for PvP if you hit them back. (yes, they aggro) The road to the left ends at Fallow Sanctuary, which is just a place crawling with baddies that run around and pop out of nowhere...lvls 35-38. I suggest cutting straight across, watching your butt, and killing a few crocs in the water if needed. I am lvl 48 warrior, I think a bit high lvl for this quest chain starter, but with mount, it was quite simple.

To give a general idea of where you are headed (without coords) if your map is not yet filled in... divide the map of the Swamp of Sorrows in half horizontally...it is just below that line, where the mountain ranges to the North and South end and the area widens as it nears the shoreline. From that info, you can sort of make "crosshairs", if you will, that will give you an approximate location of this pool.

So, keep heading east, and you will see the temple in the distance. (It's huge) You will discover The Pool Of Tears first. However, for this quest, just simply jump into the Pool of Tears, and you have completed this quest. The End.

I really hope this helps people, because I know I had a hard time getting the location out of people without someone just throwing numbers at me.

This is the easy part. Just a matter of running into the Temple in the Swamp of Sorrows and reporting back to the old guy in Stormwind. If you have a fp to Nethergarde Keep, Blasted Lands already, then just fly there and run north into the Swamp of Sorrows and then turn right when you get to the fork in the road.

If you are Alliance, watch out for the level 65 Stonard grunts that like to chase you down on the way to the Temple >.<

This quest is pretty simple. Just get through the Swamp of Sorrows, the temple is almost the middle of the zone, surrounded by a huge lake called Tears of Pool. The only thing you should pay attention is the PvP defense around the horde stronghold called Stonard.
Quest is marked as group, however, you don't need any assistance to make it done. Just approach the lake from the west, and swim towards its centre. Yes, you did it!

Gained for me 5050XP as a lvl46 mage and 275 reputation with IF.

OK, I found the temple, but I didn't get the 'Complete' message and the guy won't accept that I did find it. What do I do now?

Willy, he wasn't ever in Olde Town....read your quests..it says "help an old dwarf out".....Dawrven district....

This quest is satisfied by reaching the area in front of the steps to the Temple of Atal'Hakkar. Approximately 70,61 in the water approaching the steps does the trick.

This is the key to a bunch of other good quests. It's the first of a chain, so you have to do it. Just run past everything in the Swamp if you're high enough. I rode like crazy on my horse....

Is there a quest that needs to be done before this one? I'm at the NPC that gives the quest right now, when I came in there was an exclamation point above his head but it was greyed out, and when I clicked on him the quest mark went away. Now I have no idea how to pick it up lol

Brohann Caskbelly in Stormwind wants you to search for the Temple of Atal'Hakkar.

Description

There was a time when I was young and full of vigor like you, <class>.

But now I'm old and unable to explore the world like I once did. Ah, the things I saw!

But there was one mystery that eluded me. For my final quest, the Explorers' League sent me in search of The Temple of Atal'Hakkar. It was rumored to be located in the Swamp of Sorrows.

Because of my frail state, I traveled the skies by gryphon in search of it but never found it.

Help an old dwarf out? Perhaps you will have better luck on foot.
