After killing a few mobs around 66,43 (I killed 10 or so) Nexus-Prince Razaan spawns and after you kill him the Collection of Souls appears over his body, simply loot that and the quest is done

This was THE most annoying quest I have EVER done for me.

I had to kill about a thousand trash mobs to get the guy spawned, and then he starts patrolling around areas with a million extra adds. I said screw the adds I just went for him and didn't care if I died.

So I killed him and died and ran back to my corpse. The collection of souls was sooo close. I had to kill a few trash mobs.. I do that and by the time I kill them the collection of souls despawns.

So I just abandoned this quest and got it off my quest log as fast as possible.

Very frustrating.

Pretty easy quest if there are people around. If someone kills Nexus-Prince Razaan anyone can loot the collection of souls.

He is summoned via a portal in the middle of the southern part of the camp. Just stay in that area, kill all the enemies around it and he will spawn. If you are not in the area when he is summoned, you can still tell when by the yell he lets out.

I've done this quest twice before, on my two other characters, and as stated above, he spawns frequently at 66.43. If someone else kills him, you can get the box over his dead body.

However, I can't find him. He isn't spawning. Is there a bug? I've been killing mobs around the portal for about 45 minutes, and he hasn't spawned. Just wanted to report this here to see if anyone is having the same trouble.

Theres actually a tube behind the "circle" to gauge how many more you need to kill before he is summoned. The tube will "suck" the souls of the dead energy-men, and what looks like electricity will fill the tube from bottom to the brim, then the prince will be summoned.

In fact, if you wander in on someone fighting the prince already you can help (or not, if you're a jerk) and both of you can loot the box ... doesn't matter if you're in their party or not. Just did it that way, easiest 5 minute quest of my life.

word of warning, when you summon the prince he does patrol. try to catch him while he's still in his opening spawn area as you don't want to attract a bunch of adds, even though he's a non-elite and all, it'll make this much more difficult. not to mention, when you die, you end up having to respawn and run from a bunch of adds. The only reason i'm mentioning this is because this is what some genius i was working with did, and we ended up having to redo the quest because the Collection of Souls disappeared...great fun. Sure it was more xp, but i was pretty angry lol

Just to elaborate a bit more on the summoning process here... The tube near the transporter in the middle of this area needs to fill up with (5-6, can't remember) yellow balls, which appear when you kill any of the Ethereals in the area.You need to kill two Ethereals to get one of the yellow balls to pop up. The large yellow blobs that hover from the corpse of the Ethereal toward the tube have some travel time: so don't get frustrated if the tube isn't filling up at a rate you're happy with.

Alliance and Horde both have a quest to summon the Nexus-Prince, so if run you into a Orc/Night Elf and you're a Human/Forsaken(depending on the situation, many combinations of inter-racial meetings could happen here, let's have fun naming them all!), you might want to consider not killing each other, because both of your kills add toward filling the tube, and in the end you both get to grab your Collection of Souls.

omg, this quest is a freaking headache. BRING MORE THEN ONE PERSON! It's definitly soloable, and the guy is easy enough to kill, the problems are killing the guys fast enough to summon him, those stupid mother $%#&ing Flesh Beast, and respawns. 1 on 1 the guys a piece of cake and falls fast, but if you agro something else (it's very very very very very very very possible) then you can become screwed very easily

Just for the record, its not "just a simple loot". A box apears near his body, with a "use-symbol" on - You need to "use" it to loot collection of souls.

Make sure u start clearing from 1 part, becouse if u dont the patroling mobs Will kill u + if u ress they doo it again, and again ,,and again...enz.

I'm not sure if this quest was changed recently, but it took me about 20 kills to fill the tube and summon Razaan to kill him. I always remembered it as four or five kills, never this many.

This quest reminds me of that Sin City quote, "It's time to prove to your friends that you're worth a damn. Sometimes that means dying. Sometimes that means killing a whole lot of people." Because by the time I was done with this, I had killed a whole lot of ethereals, and almost died. I basically stood at the portal and just killed anything within casting range, but it wasn't until after a round of respawns it finally filled up.

Someone mentioned that he didn't drop the item.

He doesn't drop it.

When you kill the prince a box appears that is above your head. You click that (a gear will pop), and then you click the "Collection of Souls". Quest completed.

To help those with the quest in general.

Coords: (Middle of camp, by portal) : 66,43

Clear mobs all around this portal.. Nexus-Prince will spawn eventually, don't worry. He is a non elite,.. fearable.. very, very easy kill.

you don't just randomly kill mobs till he spawns, when you kill one of the ethereals, its soul thing will float up and if it passes the tube thing next to a gate, it'll get sucked in, after a few souls are inside it will fill up, once full the gate will start to activate, a few more souls and he'll come out

Kill as many Razaani Nexus Stalker,Razaani Raider and Razaani Spell-Thief as possible.

Make sure you clear your way near to a portal at location 66,44.

Watch your killings turn into a soul-orb(orange) that floats and attracts to a pole which somehow connected to the portal

The Razzani Prince will be summon out from this portal. Non-elite lvl68 humanoid.

Surprised nobody has mentioned this, but you can do the entire quest without killing a single mob.

If you go there and somebody has recently killed the prince, the collection of souls box is just floating in the air above his corpse. Even if the person who recently killed him isn't in your group...or isn't even in the same faction...all you have to do is click on the box and collect the item and leave.

Took about 40 kills and half an hour (resto druid), he finally spawned. When he spawned a few adds agro'd onto me, and in the distance I saw a warrior who was fighting 3 or 4 ethereals and at 5% health...I healed him up quickly, he came to me, and we took down everything after about 5 min...it was epic :D

Sure, this is one of those quests that let you HATE the game. I cleared everything but he didn't show up. OF COURSE he showed up two seconds after two mobs respawned and attacked me. In the end I couldn't get in the camp anymore, because all the other mobs respawned as well and then he just disappeared. Great. Why do you hate me that much Blizzard, why?

The pole next to the portal is filled with yellow souls when you kill ethereals. Kill enough to fill the post and he's summoned.

Fight your way to the left side of the portal where the crates are, and only one ethereal. Then, you can use that spot as a safe zone and do only 1 vs 1 fights till he spawns. Worked fast and easy for me.

I didn't bother with this before because of some of these posts, but I'm training a wind stalker that I just tamed, so I came back to some lower-level quests. I didn't have any of the problems mentioned here - though I must admit, the Stalkers do $uck (there should be a limit to how many times they can blink out). I used the idea of clearing the area near the crates, and it worked fine - though "left side" is a tad relative to which way you're facing, "southeast" is more accurate. (I don't know WHAT "BufflesselffuB"s problem was, even the patrols are 1 vs. 1 as stated - keep your eyes open and you shouldn't have to worry about your "hairy butt".) I killed just over a half-dozen ethereals, and the Nexus-Prince spawned right away - he walks away pretty soon after spawning, so I almost missed him (perhaps that was the problem for some of you?). Keeping your eye on the "pole" next to the portal is also good advice; he does indeed spawn when it is full. And as stated elsewhere, you click on the box that hovers over him after he's killed to complete the quest.

However, after all this one question remains - and it isn't "What the heck would Luke Skywalker use the quest reward power converter for?", it's (as suggested) "What the heck <does a player in this game> use the quest reward power converter for?"? I've seen Star Wars, too - I got the references the first time - but I still don't know the answer.

Did this as a 67 prot warrior, stood under portal (66,43) and faced a mob of 3 at the most. Razaani shows up after about 3-4 mobs and is no problem.

All of this info is great... one problem - not all of us use coordinates... how about giving some general directions as to where this stuff is? The terms 'east', 'west', 'north' and 'south' sure help... Or how about looking at your map and saying, "for those without coordinates, it is near the L in <location>, just to the northeast"... THAT would be a HUGE help. Ok,off my soapbox now. We return you to your regularly scheduled posts....

Killed enough for him to spawn and when he died I could loot him and nothing else, a box hovered above him but it was unlootable. Has anyone else experienced this?

It's quests such as this that make me seriously wonder if the Blizzard designers even know that there are characters in the game that don't kill as quickly as mages and rogues. I finally did this quest on my lvl 70 Holy paladin, but it took me three mana pots, a death, and finally, on the second try, Lay on Hands. These mobs regenerate so fast that I wasn't getting a chance to click on the Box of Souls after killing Nexxus-Prince Razzan. They may be only level 68, but when there are five of them on you, and you're a paladin, you just can't kill them quickly enough! Ridiculous -- especially those nasty little Fiendling Flesh Beasts! The Prince is pretty easy, but clicking the box while you're in combat from a regenerated mob, isn't.

This is the most retarded quest I have yet seen in WoW. It is impossible to open the box with 7 or 8 adds that seem to pop from everywhere once he dies.
Edit: I found a solution and pulled him outside the camp, still had 2 adds come from nowhere but got it looted.

This is one of those quests where you really question clicking the abandon key.
Coords are right, stand in the middle of the camp, but trying to clear them all to get him to show is tough. The respawn is quick, and the little monsters keep getting in the way. So have fun.

Must be a bug, my souls float away from the tube, even when I'm right under it. Killed 50 plus and notta. There's a soul floating in the air right by the tube that appears to be stuck.

He spawns after you kill a bunch of the ethereals. The yellow wisp like creatures all travel to the portal in the center, and when you get enough the nexus-prince spawns. He is a non-elite and if someone else tags the kill, you can still loot the souls because you get it from a box he drops.

ok, people, if you don't have cartographer, or some other add on that gives you coords, .... you need to get one, fo rthe love of god
only you are missing out
giving you landmarks sounds easy.... but coords give you PINPOINT locations, and cartographer in particular, let's you create a floating waypoint arrow to show you what direction, and how far to it.... so, yea, curse.com , cartographer... get it

If someone else is killing ethereals, for any reason, the energy stacks up.
Razaan can spawn at any time when enough energy is collected.
I just happened along today when this occured.
Killed him, looted the box. Done.

I killed about 20 of them.
You need to kill them in the middle of their camp where the "Soul-vacuum-thingy" is.
You can see the energy level increasing (in yellow)
When it is full yellow, the portal nearby will activate and the Nexus-Prince Razaan will come.

Toshley wants you to retrieve the Collection of Souls and return it to him at Toshley's Station in the Blade's Edge Mountains.

These orbs are made up of both nether energy and souls, some of them gnome souls!

How dare they! Were they the ones killing our people that traveled north?!

<name>, you must put a stop to this, and the only way to do that is to finish off their leader, Nexus-Prince Razaan.

You'll have to coax him out of hiding though. I'm guessing that you can do that by killing a lot of his Razaani ethereal.

Bring me the collection of souls that he no doubt has.
