So you walk up to a Warp Abberation (very close). You right click your Elemental Power Extractor, the mob hits you but the cast is uninterupted. The mob gets a blue gas glow. You kill him and he drops a blue crystal. You right click it and collect the Elemental power.

Same thing on the Sundered Rumbler except after you kill it, it spawns another smaller mob (Rumbler shard) with the blue crystall. Kill the add collect the crystal.

You can use the Elemental Power Extractor while in combat. This is great for rogues who don't want to give up their openers. Just throw down a gouge during the battle and then click on the Elemental Power Extractor to tag the mob with the spell.

Seems to be bugged. Killed about 8 of them, but just can't click on the blue crystal.

It should be noted that the Elemental Power crystal is not actually a drop that you'll find in the mob's loot box, but rather a seperate sort of "box" that spawns on the mob's corpse.

Look for the blue crystal that will trigger the gear "use" symbol.

This is bugged for me I click the extraction device thingy and the try and click on Aberation/Rumbler but it wont allow it to. The hand icon isn't turning blue and the closer I get the sooner they attack :S

Go to 36,78.
Kill warp aberrations and sundered rumblers.
BEFORE they die, use the extractor on them
AFTER they die, you will find a little blue item on the ground
pick it up. That's the quest item.
Repeat 5x.

To do this quest, find some Sundered Rumblers, use the Elemental Power extractor on it, then kill it.

Once its dead, you'll see a small dark blue crystal thing. Look sharp, I missed the first one. You get a cog mousepointer when you mouse over it.

For dispellers, killing Warp Abberation's (start with Purge/Dispel) is a better idea. Squishier and without the shield they don't really hurt that much.

I would sometimes have a weapon swing a half-second before the power extraction cast would be completed, killing the mob and not receiving Elemental Power. As a precaution, I would begin extraction when the mob is upwards of 30% HP.

36,75 around there, down the crack in the mountain, use the Elemental Power Extractor on them, kill them, then loot the blue shard thing that spawns at his body.

The warp aberrations look like blue air elementals, but will drop motes of mana (I got 6 from killing 3 of them).

As noted, they are not immune to nature damage.

This drops only off of the mob stated below.

I was only able to use the extractor on the Sundered Rumblers. I received, "Invalid Target" on all other "Targets" in this area.

Ok....this is a hard one if you think the mobs drop the item..well they do but its different.
After you use the elemental power extractor the mobs will drop a small blue gem, the gem isnt on the body but on the corpse, like on the ground.

Just did this as an assaination rogue. Found the mobs at 23,79 just sth of Manaforge B'naar. Cheap shot, use the extractor on them and kill. 5 kills 5 drops. Definately no need to get them to 50%.

I was killin and being killed forever until i finally realized that as they said get him down to 50% use the device, and then kill it. once u do, a VERY SMALL blue item appears over the corpse. U will be able to click on it and collect the energy. Suggest the Rumblers cause the Warps will give u a beat down like u wont believe. Good luck.

as a warlock, i used VW to hold him off me, while i cast the device.

they are southern part of the island on the edges, get them to 50%, use device, kill kill kill ^^

Loc. 34,76 worked for me.

Tons of air/earth elementals.

Just use "Elemental Power Extractor" on them, stay still and wait until your char casts the spell, kill and press the cogwheel that appears on top of corpse.

If you're having tough time killing thiese (I don't know on what level this quest is obtained) remember that earth elementals, "Sundered Rumblers", spawn a little mini rumbler after you kill it so that's basicly 2x kills and no extra loot if you decide to get the "elemental power" from them.

so it might be easyer to use the power extractor on Warp Aberrations (air elementals) and then kill those and gather the quest items.

As a level 70 holy priest, this was an easy quest. Should be easy for anyone else, too. Here's how.

Go to 36,78.
Kill warp aberrations and sundered rumblers.
BEFORE they die, use the extractor on them
AFTER they die, you will find a little blue item on the ground
pick it up. That's the quest item.
Repeat 5x.

You do not have to get the mobs down to 50% or any other level. I used the extractor on them at 100% and at 10% and the quest item dropped every time.

Carefully read the tool tip for the extractor...yup

Skip the Sundered rumblers...they spawn another mob on death.

go for the Warp Aberations instead. Easier to kill, no extra spawn...and the still drop the little blue power cores that allow you to complete this super easy quest.

This quest is worded so badly - I've tried using it at 100% health, on death - and nothing ever dropped

It took a trip here to get the advice to use it at 50%

What everyone has failed to mention is that the range on this thing is non-existent. You practically have to be inside them for it to work properly.

look at in game map, see where it says ARKLON ruins?(bottom,centerish). stand to the left (west) of the "A" in Arklon. kill the sundered rumblers,but if you get a add before you use the power extracter,(50%)you must kill add first because the extracter wont work .extractor will make a lil blue spark when it works . i used it at 50% life. and i got 5 for 5 drops.

as a priest get yourself a warrior pet...
while he's attacking you use the item at about 70% worked 100% of the time for us :) easy

I used the extractor before starting the fight as well as after, but always near the beginning (feral druid). The blue gem thing always dropped on the sunderers - as the quest suggests. No need to wait until 50% or any number. Tag them, hit them. The sunderers die and a lower level small sunderer comes to life, kill that too (no problem). The drop comes from the main guy, though.

After using the item on them and killing them, they drop 1 small blue shard above their corpse. Loot that.

Darn it, that didn't do it!

Ok, I've got another idea! I had Xyrol whip up an elemental power extractor. I'm not certain exactly what this power will do, but I know that I can use it.

The sundered rumblers and warp aberrations on the ledge of the Crumbling Wastes to the south have just what I need for the engines!

The extractor will change the form of their power into something solid that you'll be able to gather up after you've defeated them.
