Best quest ever. Very descriptive of the story line surrounding Thrall and the likes, a must do for the lore interested.

Not including the prereq quests, this chain alone grants 130,650 experience, and in my opinion the prereq quests are far more difficult.

The part that really sucks is having to run Auch Crypts with those ghosts popping up everywhere.

Neck and leggings are very nice though...and you will almost always draw a crowd in Nagrand.

Was really disappointed. Completed this chain last night and tried to do the turn-in and kick off the event in Nagrand. Had someone "scout" Garadar to make sure that Thrall wasn't already there. He wasn't. Did the turn-in with Thrall and back to Greatmother, but the event never started. The Kor'kron Honor Guard showed up near the Nesingwary Camp, but Thrall never showed. Thankfully, I had seen the event before, but...

Wish they've fix some of this "scripted" stuff to work more consistently.

To see the event, you have to wait about 5 minutes after finishing the quest at the Greatmother. Thrall will walk there and the event starts.

If someone did the quest just before you and you want to see the event you are in for a long wait. Thrall has been sitting by the greatmother for two hours now since the last quest turn in was, I have no idea for how long I will have to wait until he despawns.

If you want to see full event, DONT wait near the greatmother, mount up and go to the west road, where Thrall arives at Garadar (and its not like 5 minutes, it is almost immidiatly):

After submitting this quest, you can hear Thrall yell. He spawns around the nessingway area together with 20 orcs (71+ elite) on mounts walking slowly towards Garadar. An awesome sight to see. Go to Garadar's east entrance to receive thrall. :)

From there, Thrall takes a slow walk to the inn.

OMG no, how did I missed that?! :( I just hope ill get there when some1 else finishes that. I have heared Thrall yell many times, so maybe ill get lucky once :p

Also interesting to mention: I belive that few allianz raids couldnt clear Garadar in specific time :-D - besides Garrosh and mother Geyah, Thrall spawns too, but once I saw Drek`Thar on the western entrance, along with like 15-20 guards lvl72 elite ^^, too bad I was in hurry then. Could u imagine some raid (who turned wrong in the dark from halaa :p) in that time? that would be like a cat and mouse :)))

any1 knows if there is something like that for allianz? too bad if not :-/

IMO this game was created by not very creative ppl :P - besides all tier and some other items looks always the same, most of the game is pretty boring. IMO there should be more class quests (the last class Q is on lvl50+ in sunken temple, except for druid/pala/lock mounts), also a lot more race quests, proffesions quests,... :-/ come on blizzz, use your imagination sometimes.

Very cool quest in my opinion, but don't do the same mistake as I did. If somebody has turned in the quest, you will need to wait up to 2 hours before thrall leaves, if you want to see the awesome event and get the buff. Anybody who is interested in Lore should wait and see the event, it's definately worth it.

This Quest Chain starts in Hellfire with The Assassin. This requires you are able to speak to Nazgrel which means you will have to have done at least some of the level 58 outland Quests*.

1. The Assassin
2. A Strange Weapon
3. The Warchief's Mandate
4. A Spirit Guide
5. The Mag'har
6. Messenger to Thrall
7. Envoy to the Mag'har

Also given at this point are the following, but may not be necessary to complete the Hero chain. They are very nice rep rewards for each so you may want to do them since you’re there anyway.
1. A Debilitating Sickness
2. Administering the Salve

The next part leads you to Jorin Dead Eye in Garadar, Nagrand.

1. The Impotent Leader
2. Don't Kill the Fat One
3. Success!
4. Because Kilrath is a Coward
5. Message in a Battle
6. An Audacious Advance
7. Diplomatic Measures

Takes you to Nagrand to Find Lantresor of the Blade which gives you the Blademaster Chain

This has got to be the best quest chain in WoW. I followed the above info and found it most helpful except a few things that where not listed. First once you have a Soul Mirror from Crypts and you have to complete the "What the Soul Sees" part of the quest chain you have to be in a group of 3. The ghost start out as non-elites but when you use the Mirror they turn into 67elites that hit very hard. Also don't try to use the mirror inside Garadar because even if you kill the elite ghost you will not get credit for it. You will have to wait till it is outside of the gates to kill it. Also the guards will not help you. Not the ones standing at the gate or the ones on patrol. So bring friends. The comment up above suggest that after you finish the quest line you willl be exalted with Mag'har. You will not. Honored yes. You will also get a sweet buff that DOES NOT last past death. Everyone in the immediate vicinity got the buff. I took plenty of picks. I'm really into the game lore. Also if you wanna see the entire cut scene go to the west road and ride in with "The Warchief!"

Thrall showed Garrosh his father's fate, then came back to Greatmother Geyah and told her "I have returned, Greatmother. Garrosh has found his heart and his fury." Then nothing happened. Is there more to the event? I was expecting to see Geyah die peacefully or something. It seems like an abrupt end.
That said, this is definitely an awesome quest chain. It feels like a good conclusion to the storylines of the Nagrand quests.

This quest unfortunately has no alliance equivalent for equal gear, very upsetting for dps spec alliance acking for hit rating and nice quest blues(two to boot). Interesting quest line and allot of lore, wish they would of just explained something involving the kurenai through a long fairly easy chain for some phat lewts, but nah >_<

This is most likely the best questline/lore I have seen so far about the orcs, with a great ending where Thrall shows Garrosh how his father parrished.

WOW....Allakhazam really revamped their website! Havn't been here in awhile....

But yea...anyways...this really is a cool ending to a epic questline

Reward sux for anyone who wears epics but otherwise its really worth doing if only for the storyline.

A fantastic piece of lore for a quest. As far as for an alliance equiv, of course there isn't! This is about orcs, and Nagrand is their home, a equal quest chain could not be duplicated for the allies. ;p

Without doubt, one of, if not the greatest 'Horde' quest line in the game. You must complete all 3 major Mag'har rep quest lines, the first starting at Mag'har Post & the rest in Nagrand, to even get to this final 14 epic quest line. It'll take you all over Nagrand and decent chunk of Outland. It's also the fastest way to gain 'exalted' for any of the factions in the game. In my case exalted Mag'har rep for a cheap 90g epic Tabluk. Overall, I probably made 150g-200g+ in grinding & reward gear, and gained about 5-6 levels.

If you're a real gamer & true Horde player, looking for an epic story line and into WOW lore. This quest line has it all. Lot's of 'instance type' players can't stick this one out - so it's nice accomplishment. And an epic Tabluk is a nice bonus.

When I picked up the quest to go see Thrall in Orgrimmar, he was already sitting in front of Greatmother in Garadar. Obviously, I can't turn it in to him right there, so time to fly.

But I was wondering, if I fly to Shattrath, port to Orgrimmar, go in Thrall's Chamber, approach his throne, only to find a piece of paper that reads "BRB" on it, I'm rerolling alliance.

It's a joke. Laugh. He was there where he always is. But Thrall in Garadar didn't poof and the whole event started over again. The Thrall there was like "eh, I don't want to do that again, sorry"

I delivered this quest as Thrall was already in Garadar, someone already did it before me.

The event DID NOT trigger due to Thrall already being at place. So be warned as if you want to see the event Thrall must NOT be there.

For TBC Classic players:

The RP part after this quest was originally ending with a zone-wide worldbuff Hellscream's Warsong , identical to the original Warchief's Blessing from the Onyxia's quest chain.
WhiIe the Nagrand's buff isn't given to players in TBC Classic, I suspect that originally similar to the Orgrimmar's one, this worldbuff had a 3h cooldown, and therefore by extension the RP part too.

This is hypothetical, but If someone did the quest before you, you probably need to wait 3h to witness it again.
A good indication is to see if Thrall is sitting by the Grandmother, but even if he isn't here there might still be some time left (happened to me, Thrall wasn't there and it didn't trigger it).

You cant outlevel this questline, so thats very nice.. I think you are 65 first time when you visit the stonemother in nagrand, im doing the Q now at 68 and get exp like i get from level 68 quests. Just a fyi :)
