It seems that the fight has been buffed a little. Instead of coming after Angerforge dies, a wave of non-elite dwarves including 2 healers now comes when Angerforge is at 20%.

Still very doable at appropriate level, but a bit of a surprise.

The group of dwarves that arrives as General Angerforge gets low on health will run into the room by going down the stairs. A healer will most likely get aggro from these as they enter the battle so it is a bad idea to place the healer on the stairs. Standing in a corner away from the stairs is smarter since the rest of the group are then able to pick up the dwarves as they come running towards the healer.

He's in Blackrock Depths, just before the room with all the Non-Elites, Golems, and Arglemarch. (Arglemarch, etc, are to the right, he's to the left, as you are facing away from the way you came in).

Be careful, Angerforge calls out for help once he's near death, around a dozen of non-elite mobs.

Haven't figured out where they come from tohugh. :/

This is a verry easy guy to kill... If you take out te mobs that are in the corners first then focus on killing him. After a while he shouts out for help.
You'll have to kill the elite priests first cuase they'll heal him if they get the chance, so kill them first after that it's peanuts...

I've killed him 2 times now without anny problems.

Is he soloable? I think i'm gonna try lvl 60 rogue. I'm going to try and stealth in burn evasion kill him and vanish. I'm thinking its a bad idea, and i probably need 2 other 60 rogues :P We'll c

I don't think he is soloble....
He is serounded by a lot of guards and when he gets to a serten point of health he calls forth reenforcements... (and the reenforcements includes 2 or 3 medics who will heal him)

I don't think that 1 rogue will make it allone...

Did it with too rouges neither of us where decked out in epics aswell, just takes allot of skill and flash powder

First thing to do would be to kill the 2 fireguard destroyers at the bottom of the ramp enroute to Angerforge, (when angerforge reaches 50% health he calls out an "alarm" and reinforcements arrive, at the top of this ramp and will train down towards angerforge and his attackers).

The group of 3-4 elites in the corner by the window don't need to be cleared but would be advised for pickup groups.

Angerforge is surrounded by extremely squishy buddies, these can be despatched in a matter of seconds by a rogue or any type of damaging AOE, just send your tank in to angerforge and let the DPS kill the squishies (dont bother with CC).

Get the tank to move angerforge to the bottom of the ramp, when angerforge reaches 50% health he calls for help, spawning 2 Elite medics, and about 6 squishies similar to the ones that surrounded angerforge, these spawn at the top of the ramp and will train down to angerforge, get your warrior to intercept them with a demoralizing shout.

If you are farming for HoJ and just duoing angerforge, its best to quickly kill the squishies, then the medics, then angerforge, on the otherhand, if you are in a party, it might be best to make the medics priority, or just ignore them and burn down the rest of angerforge's HP.

This was done without a tank, just a group involving a priest(57), 2 warlocks (54 and 59), a rogue (57), and a mage (56).

1) start the rogue with a shield and have him sap one of the non-elites
2) Shield the mage and have him sheep one of the other non-elites, and cast frost nova on the others.
3) have the priest shield the VW tank and have the higher level VW tank the boss, the other warlock can focus on using is VW to kill the non-elites
4) focus on killing the non-elites until all of them are dead, then everyone(except priest) hammer the boss until he's dead
5) when he summons his extras have the mage and the warlocks aoe them.

The priest should focus on shielding and healing during this battle..Best to use renew with a shield when 1/4 health is chipped away on the other players it helps save mana and you can allow some time to regenerate.
Superior or Major mana potions are really handy if you run out of mana.

in reply to how far in is he? he is about 27 or 28 kills into the instance (providing a stealther opens the lock). which is about 4 patrolling fire elementals, and 8 packs of dwarves (1 pack of 2 fire elementals, and some packs of dwarves may have a fire elemental), varying from 2-4 per pack. he's not necassarily the first boss, but he can be, he is certainly not the easiest =P

i have this plan going on in my mind.....im a lvl 60 resto druid and my m8 is a lvl 60 rogue...u think we can take on angrforge? anyway...the plan is to first let me tank angerforge until my rogue m8 has killed all the adds...then let him take aggro and then i go to caster form and heal up and start heal the rogue...watcha say? think it i'll work? :D

even if u wer to tank, after a while, u would have to pull more mobs, and sure as a cat foorm u can stealth in, but ur bound to be caught off guard, see if u had a subtelty rogue and a combat rogue u could take him as the subtelety can sap a mob, adn stay in stealht to take this big guy, then the combat can cheap shot, blade fury, adrenaline rush AND evasion, whilst subtlety can keep attacking gouging backstabbing and gouging and he same, untill combat came to the rescue, (including healing potions, btw...any one from executus whisper me please, /w ayam�) adn chances are, when combat came to it, they would ahve to try and take teh agro, wich would probably just pull more, (sod's law)

Where is this guy? looked all over the place, haven't found him.. whilst looking all over I aquired the shadowforge key as well (doing the whole shizzle with rogue friend).

well brd is sorta like ulda and mara used to be for lvl 60s. You can bypass most things getting to the bosses. This guy is definately challenging as we calls for a medic when he is low. Unlike fineous darkvine who just heals himself.

lock soloing angerforge let void tank- holding aggro till about 45% then grab aggro with full dps cause the healers will be there soon... Sorta funny when he went down the healer didnt aggro.
One seed of corr will take out the 4 non elites around him.

Faezi's advice is spot-on. Be warned, the second wave of adds do a LOT of melee damage to the tank if they're all hitting him at once. I had to pop Shield Wall to survive. Get the AOE in there as fast as possible, take out all the non-elites, then sheep one medic and kill the other. Then murderise Angerforge.

It took us three goes to take him down - 56 Prot Warrior, 56 Arcane Mage, 57 Holy Priest.

Level 70 combat dagger rogue, solo, killed him before the adds even arrived. Bladefury killed the guys around him in a few secs.

thanks to the post above, since i had to clear all the dungeon(yes, im serious) before i found out where those 2 guyz are as a 70 rogue, died only once at bael'gar(after killing it) and i think i wasnt gonna find out where they are if i didnt read that post...(btw, used shadowstep to pass on the balcony which leads to the summoners' tomb from the vault)

The guy is very easy when he's alone, but extremely difficult when the medics get involved.

As a 65 prot paladin trying to solo him, I died five times because my DPS wasn't nearly enough to get his health close to zero when the medics spawned.

So for any other 60+ prot pallies trying to solo him for the Onyxia attunement quest line:

Clear the ENTIRE bottom floor of the room the general is in before soloing him, otherwise when he calls his medics and they run at low health, they'll be bringing buddies. You won't be able to keep a judgment of justice on the medics, because you'll need all the health and mana return you can get from your Seals/Judgments of Light and Wisdom. Also clear the two mobs at the top of the stairs, and the roaming 54 flameguard destroyer, since the adds will spawn from there.

Once the floor is clear, turn on Concentration Aura (or Ret Aura, but I generally cast a few Holy Lights in this stage and prefer it) and engage the general with a light/wisdom combo. Holy Shield up and consecrate on the adds. A nice trinket to pop at the beginning of the fight here is the Charm of Alacrity, which increases your dodge rate by a large amount and has only a two minute cooldown, which will mitigate the damage from all the beginning adds and the cooldown will be up again by the time you need it--this is going to be a long fight for you.

Once the nonelite adds are down, pull the general to the back of the staircase, so that you'll be keeping out of LOS of the medics when he spawns them. The medics will still engage you, but you'll have an easier time of it since they'll have to walk up next to you rather than heal or damage from afar. It also positions you with your back to the corner, so that all the adds that engage you can only melee you for 45 degrees in front of your face.

From 100% to 40% is the easiest part of the fight. Keep up a SoW/JoW combo, and turn on Conc. Aura and use Holy Light as needed. Consecrate to speed up DPS when you have mana for it, but remember to have at least 60-80% of your mana for when the adds come.

At around 40%, the general will call in the adds. You'll be able to DPS the general to roughly 30-38% before the adds actually engage, but it won't matter since the medics will heal him anyway. Turn on Shadow Resistance Aura when he emotes.

When the adds finally attack you, IMMEDIATELY target a medic and put up a Seal of Light/Judgment of Light combo. If you try to combo with wisdom you won't be able to keep your health up. Now would be a good time to pop another trinket to mitigate the melee damage, and consecrate as much as your mana allows to get rid of the nonelite melees.

Depending on your luck, there may be an elite melee in the mix as well. At any rate, concentrate on the medics! Though they only have around 4k health, the two medics will constantly heal each other for around 2k as well as the general and any other remaining adds. Make no mistake, your goal here is not to take them down ASAP: your goal is instead to survive until they run themselves out of mana using their Heals and Mind Blast. Use whatever means necessary to keep your health up: Bubble-bandage, major/super health pots, SoL/JoL combo of course as the situation rises. Having LoH off cooldown is HIGHLY recommended for the fight.

Once both medics have no mana, the fight is nearly yours. You should be pretty much out of mana yourself though, so make sure to keep your health up. They're runners, so deal with that issue whatever way you prefer: Judge justice/Hammer of Wrath if you can spare the mana, but remember that the general is still attacking you for 175-350 per hit.

Once the general is alone again, you've won. Seal and judge wisdom, switch back to Conc/Ret aura, heal up, then DPS him down.

Half of the information needed for Marshal Windsor is yours. Thank the powers that be that the Golemlord is much easier for a protadin.

*cough* Or you could just wait til 70, spec Ret, and have a much easier time with the fight.

Fortunately this guy is pretty manageable.. Kepp your tank on him and AoE his minions down. At about 20% health (I think), he will call for help, get your offtank or rogues or whoever on the Medics first (they're the elites of the bunch, and there'd 2 of them) and AoE out the extras.

Lord General's Sword is probably one of the best rogue swords for the level. It constantly procs 50 attack power for 30 seconds and turns you into a DPS beast. Combine it with a high DPS low speed dagger (off-hand) and use RSWAPPER to swap the sword and another dagger in your main hand.

He is located across the hall from the Golem Lord's hall. Go down the stairs to the left and you will see him and his 4 guards.

You can either go down steps to Fire Elementals or jump down the left side of landing and fight the 3 there. Either way you will need to clear one side before taking on his group.

~~For those interested in farming Hand of Justice~~ (this item now drops off the Emperor) there are mainly four ways of pulling this guy.

Normal one. After killing the two dwarves guarding the ramp there's a couple of fire elementals you deal with and then you have room to pull him by the corner. This is the obvious one and how low level groups typically do it because they want experience as well.
All the way back, skipping the elementals. Your group stands in the corner just by the entrance to the room with the golems (the end of the corridor that leads to the room with the ramp to Angerforge). You pull the two dwarves back and kill them. Then the tank approaches Angerforge and pulls from the ledge, out of range of the fire elementals to the right, then runs back to the group. Angerforge will go up without aggroing the elementals. This is the preferred method for parties on the way to Golem Lord.
Stealth run. This is typically done by 2-3 rogues or druids opening directly on him. With exceptionally good gear/buffs this can be soloed by a rogue, but 2 can already be tight; 3 make it trivial. One rogue should Expose Armor right away / druid Faerie Fire if available. Focus on Angerforge, letting Blade Flurry or engineering dynamite deal with the adds. If you're fast enough you'll be able to loot and get out of combat to restealth before more dwarves come, but this can also be easily done anyway (see method 4). If you're only rogues you can just Vanish. If you jump through one of the windows (dwarves and gnomes can jump off the one in that very same room) and avoid the dogs in Bael'Gar's area you can do a full run in under 5 minutes.
Adds-free pull. After killing the two dwarves, go down but instead of following the ramp to the right towards the elementals you jump to the left, opposite them. If your level is high enough/you jump close enough to the wall you shouldn't pull any of the mobs near the window. Stand there and pull Angerforge. If any ranged adds don't come just kill them from where you are; kill adds, then Angerfoge. The second wave of adds will come but won't engage or aggro the fire elementals; instead they'll stand around the corner out of combat.

If you want to continue you'll obviously have to kill all mobs anyway, but if you want to reset for another try you can keep the party leader outside the dungeon and make them reset while everyone else has logged out; when they log back in they'll be at the entrance. Obviously this can be accomplished by inviting an alt and promoting them.

If you have DPS problems doing stealth runs you can combine methods 3+4: kill the adds and bring Angerforge to the safe corner. You'll be able to restealth easily.

Do not try to kite him back from downstairs. We tried that as we needed some time at 50% when the healers arrive. The corridor just spawned full of fire elementals and wiped us in less than 5 seconds.
