Anyone noticed how these mobs reset too 100% health, and first then you can dps it all the way down to 0%?

i crited one down to 85%, then he reseted ;<

It means the drop rate is below 0.01%

I'm trying to do the Frostsaber provisions quest and I've killed at least 75-80 of these chilwinds and no meat has dropped at all. Do the ones more ot the south have a better chance of dropping some? I dont believe these droprates thottbot has for a second....

Is it correct that it is only this mob that loots the Crystalline Threaded Cape? It shows as if it is that... But that wouldn't be very fair I would say, considering how nice that cape is.

As of 1.11.2019 I have finished the greatest grind in my life. This grind took me 22 days to complete, 14 of those were in game.

So what did I do? I finished this grind by doing ONLY Frostsaber provisions. Why? Well you can't call that mount exactly your own if you did the grind with a group so i decided to do it solo. So there I was a level 58 human mage unknowing that this grind was going to be the longest one that i have ever done.

As was reaching that 1500/3000 point I thought about going into a group but then I started to feel guilty. I didn't want to feel like I was being boosted, I felt that the grind was supposed to be hard and that is surely was for me. At 1500 rep I tried the winterfall intrusion quest which was supposed to be the "fastest" quest, well it turns out that this is not the fastest quest out there if you are doing this solo so i continued my meat quests. Also i did not aoe grind because my talents were not right for that.

At 4000/6000 I saw in wowhead that you can collect these e'kos from the mobs if you do series of quests so i did those and started gaining e'kos

Each quest took me 10-45 minutes to complete and it was at neutral that i realized the full scale of grind that i was going into. I told myself that I WILL get this mount before p2 and I will not leave winterspring before that. I made myself rep goals so that each day i would grind 1650 reputation that would take me around 12 hours to complete and there would be no exceptions to that.

Did I mention that i didn't have a mount for the whole grind. I really really hate horses and I was a human. I got my Darnassus reputation to Exhalted at 4400/21000 with the money from the grays, greens and blues i vendored. I bought the tiger riding but i did not buy the mount because for me the wintersaber reputation was so close that it would have been waste of money so i continued without a mount.

At 9910/21000 I realized that I really should have taken skinning for this but at that point it was too late so i decided not to get it since i had valuable recipes on my enchanting and tailoring. At 19440/21000 I noticed that I will not be able to purchase the mount as soon as my reputation reaches exhalted.

Today I finished this grind and In total I killed 19675 mobs in the meat quest area, 5 Winterfall Shaman and 5 Winterfall Ursa. Every kill was uploaded to wowhead database. from the vendor items i got around 1966g, Darnassus reputation took 1300g from that so i was left with 666g so i still have to grind money for the mount. With skinning total money from this would have been around 3736g with Firemaw-EU market prices.

Now you are probably wondering what loot did i get. I listed every notable drop down below
1x Eye of Flame
1x Dreamwalker Armor
1x Orb of Deception
2x Serpentine Sash
2x The Shadowfoot Stabber
1x Torch of Austen
1x Traveler's Backpack
2x Demonslayer
4x Journeyman's Backpack
765x Chillwind E'ko
790x Shardtooth E'ko
and a full glorious set with extra set of pants

I did not sell those e'kos because they were going to me and my friends to use in raids because now I had a lifetime supply of those :D

IF i had skinning this would be the minimum leather amount.
lets say that I killed 50/50 of Chillwind ravager and Elder shardtooth you would skin about.

Note that these calculations are not including the change to get multiple skins from single mob so those numbers will be higher.

I will tell you some tips and tricks here if you are crazy enough to try this.
- TAKE SKINNING. You will spend around 16 hours only skinning but the gold you get from this will be substantially higher.
- Bind your hearthstone to Everlook. When your bags are full you can hearthstone to a vendor and continue from there.
- Set yourself reputation goals for every day. This helped me a lot because i wanted to get this mount before p2 so i HAD to grind every day.
- A mount will not help you that much but it will get you to your destination faster.
- This grind will test your patience and your discipline heavily so be prepared for that.
-do your research before you go into this. I made the mistake by going in blind and I lost a lot.

This grind will not give you any good loot..yes i got an epic but those drop rates are so low that you should go in with the mindset that you wont get an epic.
only thing that get me going was that deadline that i made for myself. I respect everyone who got the mount but i truly respect anyone who did this grind alone.

If you ever see a mage named iteate on Firemaw-EU please remember that I did this grind the hardcore way so you don't have to.
