I found none of these on a recent trip to gather vibrant plumes. Only bears and spiders in the area of map shown as being populated... so, they must not be all too common here.

There are 2 carrion vultures flying around the area, one north to the road and one south to the road.
The area is not so easy, bears and spiders attack you also 3-4 at once.
This animal is interesting to hunters for dive 3 and screech 3 abilities. Take into account that taming him is difficult, because of bears and spiders and because of interrupts he does to the taming process.

This is a tough bird to tame but here is how I did it at 51:

Used "Track Beasts" to figure out the Vulture's patrol
Jumped on mount and rode through mobs till I found a "dead" spot where I wouldn't aggro spiders/bears
Threw down freezing trap
Began taming the vulture after he had passed by and was a good distance away

I didn't need any special gear and I just used aspect of the monkey. He got in one hit and didn't interrupt me. Maybe I got lucky, but it was a piece of cake.

The greys they drop sell for 10s and more at the merchant, except the beaks.

From what I could tell, only 2 of these, one north of the road, and one south of the road. Not much for farming.

Surprisingly difficult tame.

#1 As stated by others, it's a very limited spawn, maybe 2 at a time in different areas, in the general vicinity of The Bulwark.
#2 They fly a route, like a patrol.
#3 They range from L50 to L52, so even if you find one, it might not be the right level.
#4 There's tons of bears and spiders in the area that are abnormally aggressive and will wander into aggro range.
#5 This bird has a stun, which will break your tame.

Your best bet, is to be patient. Watch the route first. Then set up a good ambush along the route. Clear the area with a disposable pet. Of course, set a freeze trap someplace good. Concussive Shot, then start your tame to give yourself a couple of extra seconds. Hopefully the trap will last long enough, and you won't be bothered any bear or spider respawns.

These guys have both level 3 Screech and Dive. Pretty efficient... I'm trying to get Spiteflayer for the 1.2 attack speed, but I guess this guy would be a good consolation prize if Spiteflayer never shows.
