These are not immune to frost. Almost all other "water elementals" are, so if you're a frost mage these are the ones to grind for Mote of Water.

If you find Plateau overpopulated and are in need of Mote's, atleast as a mage it's easy to gather up alot and AoE em down, not the best droprate but better than waiting for one mob every now and then in an overcamped area.

Probably the best and most courteous place to farm mote of water. There's plenty of these mobs, so even though they're a quest objective you won't be interfering (unlike the pond in Terrokar Forest which had maybe 15 mobs in it). Plus they're not immune to frost as stated above, and they go down fast (2 frostbolts does the job for me). On top of that, they give Oshu'gun Crystal Powder as well so if you're farming research tokens for that talbuk or resilience gem, this is the best place to do it.

ya these guys are pretty easily killed and decent drop rates im a enhancement shammy (70) with a blue and green 1h axe and i kill them in abuot 5-10 seconds each and earlier today i farmed them for about 5 hours and got about 24 Primals which sold for 17g each on my server then got about 4 research tokens :D

Drop Rate Is Not BIgger Than 1%.

They also hit for nature damage, ignoring armor. 250-300 per swing regardless of armor type.

My paladin = lots of healing up between fights.

If you are a fury warrior or any other class that can interrupt spells, be sure that you interrupt their Poison Bolt as often as possible, for it does a lot of nature damage.

These are a great alternative for farming the needed for frozen shadoweave set; for a frost mage if crashing wave spirits are being farmed too heavily by alliance or other horde players. Mainly because they aren't immune to frost spells..so you don't have to respec to farm :P

Decent respawn rate, low lvl, NOT immune to frost. Indeed, these are great to farm. They poison you, which is no big deal at all. Pew pew frostbolts all day long!

Hmm droprate seems to have been changed. Grinded them for about an hour and only got 6 motes. Not really worth it.

I farmed these for motes to sell primals on AH there seems to be unending demand for these. The spawn rate is quick, the drop rate is fair and without competition you can grind endless amounts of motes.

Easy quest like a 40% drop rate though, they throw a DOT on you so be aware of death after after killing them, happened to me a couple of times

These guys are cake for a Fury warrior farming motes, Pummel the poison casting and it's an easy take down. May not get a mote for 5-7 kills but you will regularly get 2 on the next kill, also not over farmed.

these are rich for primal farming. i got about 3 in less than a half hour. btw i never found any essence of water on them.

Pro Tip: Don't jump down thinking you'll be saved from landing in water.

Other than that, fairly dece farming, abo 2 motes every 6-10 kills, good xp if ur under 70 arround 1k rested per kill, drops the powder samples often.

So yeah no complaints :P

I found on my frost mage I took a rather high amount of nature damage. I decided to put together a few nature resist items to up my NR to 50-60. I am hoping, but at the same time not sure, this is enough to resist the poison. I will find out. Not sure how to calculate how much resistance is needed when stack any sort of resistance. If anyone knows a formula, let me know please.

Update; I'm sitting at 234 NR and that includes resistance food and flask. While it is much easier to kite and gather these things up, it still is not a walk in the park. I do have NR pots which I do pop when I am getting down on health and for the most part it saves me, but there are a lot of times I die. I try to Blizzard at least five mobs, but really like to get 7 or 8 if possible. At 7 or 8 mobs the damage is high and the ice shield last not very long, my resist gear doe resist a lot, but not enough in my opinion to make it easy. It is work, but I am learning how to pull them and I I found if I use the nooks and crannies along the water, it lines of sights their poison shots at me and this buys me more kiting time.

So after a few days of farming, I settled on NR gear w/ a Chromatic Wonder flask and this sits me at 234 NR and if I just gather 5 mobs, its fairly stress free. My talent build is the Arcane Frost, 25/0/36 build. I have the Frozen Shadow Weave 3 pc set to help sustain my health from its bonus of healing 2% of damage done. I have a jewel crafted ring and necklace along with 3 other pieces of NR gear which are just some greens off the auction house. My spell power is 552 frost. The healing from blizzard is minimal, but it takes the edge off. All in all its totally doable on a casual level. I suppose if I were to try to put some effort into getting to like 365 NR I could rock n /roll as true farmer and do them 10 mob pulls, but anyways....GL HF.
