So early this morning there was a patch for Mists of Pandaria which will probably hit live servers tonight. There were a lot of added mounts, as well as profession things starting to make their way onto the beta. We also learned that the World of Warcraft class team has, well, class--they sign their notes with "XOXO":

Fangs of the Father: Legendary Proc
Shadows of the Destroyer
: Increases your Agility by 17, stacking up to 50 times. Once you have acquired 30 stacks of Shadows of the Destoyer, each stack gained grants an increasing chance to trigger Fury of the Destroyer and cancel all stacks of Shadows of the Destroyer. Fury of the Destroyer immediately grants 5 combo points and causes your finishing moves to grant 5 combo points. Lasts 6 sec.
Legendary Wings
: No further information on it yet, but probably related to the cosmetic effect of unfurling wings.
We've known for a while that the weapon will have two earlier stages like the previous legendary did, but now there's some more information on them. Both of them also have procs:

There was a small patch last night. Nothing huge--just new maps for the 5-mans as well as some achievements for PvE encounters in 4.3. In any case, we also have a

I'm tacking on some notable blue posts here as sort of a round up as well--heirlooms might be changing in the future and void storage pricing was changed considerably. Hopefully this stops some of the complaining we've seen about the prices!
Heirloom Mechanics
We would like to share an insight on the approach that is the philosophy behind the heirlooms at the moment. This is still something that may change, so please do not take it as set in stone.
In short, the developers agree that the process of mailing heirlooms around constantly is a little annoying. We'd prefer to try and work ourselves away from the method of mailing out BoA items in the future, like pets, mounts, etc. To that end, we have some desig

Blizzard has snuck another late night patch onto the 4.2 PTRs! This latest update doesn't seem to feature very many interesting spell changes, as most seem to be simply tooltip clarifications and rewordings, but there's probably something I'm not noticing so you guys should definitely check 'em out! Pretty ho-hum new icons, as well, though the one labeled "fireravengodmount" definitely raises my eyebrow. Speaking of mounts, looks like PVP aficionados are going to get some love with the new

Dungeon Journal Preview: All Seven Firelands Encounters Unveiled
The PTR updated this weekend with the encounter journal. The developers at Wowhead have been working on integrating it into our database entries and it's an exciting feature you should see soon. However, in this case, soon isn't enough: you probably want to see it right now. Well, you can! With the help of volunteers ArgentSun, Perculia, and Remnath, I've transcribed the data you care about--

Below are the encounter journals for all seven bosses in the zone (plus Occu'thar in Baradin Hold), so tread lightly if spoilers scare you. Of course, if you're into seeing what you'll be facing on 4.2, go and indulge yourself. It's worth it. Ragnaros is the best looking fight in particular; it's epic on a level that

and quite similar in design, too. During the fight on heroic mode, you will face an additional stage in which you will be aided by three familiar friends: Cenarius, Arch Druid Hamuul Runetotem, and Malfurion Stormrage. It sounds a lot like the Keepers in Ulduar.

Patch 4.2 - PTR Build 14040 - New Items, Spell Changes, Icons, and Maps
After an agonizingly slow Monday, Tuesday picks up the pace with another patch for the PTR. The legendary's stats are finally datamined, over fifty new items are in our database (including more tier previews), and we've got a lot of spell changes to show you as well.
Latest Additions
Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa's Rest
has appeared, sadly with hit rating and no proc yet (this is intended so we can't spoil ourselves too badly). It also looks like the legendary's other phases--
Branch of Nordrassil
and
Runestaff of Nordrassil
--are very nice items so the staff grows with you as you get into heroic progression like how
Shadow's Edge
was useful.
Avengers of Hyjal
is confirmed as a faction and has some rewards listed! Keep in mind it's likely that each class gets its own rewards and ones haven't been tied in for other roles than tanks.

Patch 4.2 - PTR Build 14002 - New Items, Spell Changes, Icons, and Maps
The PTR is finally starting to come up and we have a lot of information to post. There are over a thousand latest additions, dozens of new icons, two new maps, and even tier 12 pieces starting to be datamined.
Notable Finds

The legendary quest is being slowly revealed by the changes to our database. This looks like a very detailed quest chain, similar to the first caster staff legendary.
Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa's Rest
will be the feat of strength,
The Nexus
is part of the quest to create it, and it's likely that
Seething Cinder
x60 and
Heart of Flame
are what is collected to forge the staff.
There will be four new vanity pets:

. The last one will be the guild reward for completing the legendary.

Patch 4.1: Map Animation, Vanity Pet Changes, and a Resort Town Preview
Fresh from a foray onto the PTR, Wowhead volunteers Neutronimity and Perculia have brought some exciting news about some notable additions to Azeroth. While they're not a new raid nor a new legendary, they're still important in their own way. After all, it's the little things that make World of Warcraft so memorable!
The first discovery was that there's a new map animation. When users open their maps, they will now
see
it. This was first brought to our attention a week ago by Wowhead user Satelitko. They even went as far as to make
a video of the animation
.
The second discovery, this time by Neutronimity, was that companion pets now stay with their owner through thick and thin. Did you hearth away? Zone? Or even log off? Don't worry, they'll stay summoned. A small change to be sure, but a very practical one; summoning your vanity pet every time you left an area was easy to forget.
Of course, we've saved the best for last. The third discovery is pretty big. It's also a little weird. Perculia discovered a brand new resort off in the mountains of the border between Feralas and Silithus while flying around on the PTR this morning. The amount of detail put into t

Patch 4.1 - Zul'Aman and Zul'Gurub Items on PTR
As I'm sure many of you have noticed, the upcoming patch 4.1 marks the return of the classic
Zul'Aman
and
Zul'Gurub
raids as 5-player Heroic dungeons, featuring item level 353 epic quality loot! These items have just shown up in the latest PTR data and we've got 'em! Unfortunately, the items are not yet implemented as drops and do not yet feature unique models, so we do not yet have specific boss drop data or pretty 3D models - yet! However, as soon as the information is available, we'll definitely update - so stay tuned!
