Why do people keep bringing up Outlands? It's old news... you can level from 60-68 without going past Terrokar forest. In other words, a dps spec should easily carry you to Northrend content. If you need to respec from 60-68, YOR DOIN IT RONG! I spec from dps to tank on a daily basis costing me around 350g a week... thats is nothing. I make 250g in an hour doing dailies, which covers my respec for 5 days. The real benefit here is being able to respec inside of a raid. If your concern is that raiding cores will be "even more tight" then you aren't making yourself an important part of the raid. If your worried about people rolling on gear for their dual-spec you need to assign a master-looter. Lastly, if you are a pure DPS class, you fail.
I think the dual-spec ideas are great, like most people here. I believe limiting it to end-game content is reasonable. I feel that requiring a lexicon of power to be an intelligent decision, and giving a portable lexicon to scribes to be awesome indeed.I dislike the fact they're turning the lexicon into a summoning stone - I think it shouldn't require multiple people any more than a repair bot does, but should be expendable and not reusable.I think people throwing a ^#%$ fit at the level 80 requirements to be just as dumb as people insisting that it can't be allowed for levelling up. Seriously, I leveled a paladin as Prot from 40-70, I levelled a priest as holy from 70-75. It's doable, and it's not that bad - in particularly the tanking specs have good survival for questing. The major reason to restrict it to level 80 is because it makes the programming and management side of it a lot easier, I believe. The reason not to restrict it is that it makes levelling up a lot easier - and would make the levelling dungeons worth more. Either way, I'll enjoy when it comes out.
This is a very welcome change, indeed. It is very hard to find a tank on my server and it would be nice to easily switch from heals to tank. My only wish would be that they would create a special place, like they did with mounts and non combat pets, for gear. I am a holy pally and carry my pvp gear in my bags all the time. Now I will want to carry my tank, pvp, and healing gear in my bags, well I guess I would be wearing one set, along with pots, waters and ect. I guess I shouldn't complain about lack of bag space for extra gear, but rejoice over the fact I am not spending 200g + a week! But It would be really nice to be able to have a clothes rack of sorts or even an extra bag!
AT LAST. i wont have to surpass 3k g spent on respecs (after the achiv system has been implemented) !
lol i read wrong haha
