Oh God DKs might be getting a fallen rez corpse fighter again.
Definitely a lot of changes but many are most exciting!
Out of all of this on here, I think that concerning Demonology Warlock is the most interesting to me. Maybe it'll turn out to be more fun than Affliction on a solo aspect, who knows.
"As these panels were not part of the Virtual Ticket," WHY not? Seriosuly that thing costs a LOT for what you get. :(
No mana for my Elem Shammy, at last. Give us smthing interesting!
"Rogues can pick pocket each other in class hall" For this alone I will be buying Legion. Then I see: "we're thinking about revisitng old raids like we did with ZG and ZA"No no no no No No NONONONO! We don't want to lose old fun content for more lame dungeons that no one will ever run. Everyone hated that we lost the old classic ZG and ZA, not to mention Naxx and all the titles/achievements from Lich. We want MORE content, not removing old content because "oh, we'll give you something better!". Nothing is better than what we want.
The transmog news got me so excited but then with some deeper thought I became a little sad. I had the realization that past and, as of yet, still exclusive items ranging from TCG mounts, toy, tabards and pets to old achievement rewards like mounts, titles and misc. rewards are probably still not going to be able to be collected without significant gold or real-money investment, if at all. This is already true in Mount, Pet and Toy collection journals, but seeing empty slots which I may never be able to full even in transmog makes me sad :(This is purely my own opinion, and I understand that others may disagree:While I've spent money on the TCG, and even own some of the TCG mounts and items myself, I think that TCG mounts, toys and pets should be available in other ways now that the TCG can no longer be purchased. This also goes for achievement rewards and rare drops which are "deprecated". I think any system that is "collectible" should in fact have the inherent characteristic of actually being able to be fully collected, with a rare few items that take an extraordinary amount of effort to get. This also brings in the topic of exclusivity, which I think needs an overhaul in WoW.I've heard people decry the relative lack of exclusivity that exists in game now vs. that which existed back when Epic items were really rare. The widest argument I've heard (albiet in my limited set of conversations in my guilds and with my peers) is that there's no way to stand out as exceptional among other players when anyone can get any reward over time.My response is always that exclusive items are a temporary band aid and reward structure for the fundamental desires that drive competitive play. Another way of saying this is I feel that permanent exclusivity of items and titles has wrongly been used as a reward for the highest tiers of skilled gameplay in PvE and PvP.I bet that most (obviously not all) high-end players want their efforts immortalized by recognition of their names and achievements, not by cosmetic items. The cosmetic item as reward is helpful as an in-game representation in the current expansion's feats local to that time frame. However, keeping that as the end reward in perpetuity limits a lot of the players who want to collect items as a primary goal in game from achieving a full collection. My suggestion is that the highest skilled players should get immortalized both in-game and outside of game on a character name level at the end of any season or expansion with their best feat(s). They should be able to enjoy a temporary but exclusive title and/or gear set and/or cosmetic item(s) while in the existing PvP season/raid tier or expansion as a whole. Once the next season, tier or expansion comes along, the cosmetic item (mount, title, etc) exclusivity should get relinquished in favor of immortalized records so that other players can enjoy things like PvP reward mounts from Burning Crusade seasons or titles and rewards from WotLK.
TCG mounts are available in other ways. I bought the Spectral Tiger From the regular Auction House, and another TCG mount from the BMAH. You do not have to be a crazy gold grinder to save enough gold to get something like that anymore either. As long as you put in a little effort somewhere, you will get there :)
"Model making is expensive"... I somehow think they can afford it. Also, it really is an absurd statement :P
I loved the lore walker chi tidbit!
I wonder if unholy DKs will become the new burst spec, being able to stack on festering then pop it when you need that damage, maybe when trinkets proc :P
I'm a bit apprehensive about what's coming for Shadow Priests. I really do relate with the poor cousin of Warlocks statement. I hope that Shadow can be made a lot more interesting but I don't really want it to become fotm. I basically lost my raid spot due to the guild only wanting one Shadow Priest, and we were never really strong when it came to challenge modes
Looking forward to these artifact quests, esp the MM one.
Lots of good information, fairly comprehensive.
I really quite like the fact that darkmoon faire trinkets can be made without the event being live. The class changes(hunters and warlocks) seem quite amazing, but I hope that DPS Demon Hunters won't have all Demonology spells that warlocks had in the past expansions,of so,Demon hunters will be quite boring and samey.HOPEFULLY they deliver what they've announced thus far and i'm looking forward to what they are going to update us in the future!
The more 'pirate' themed talents include things like Cannonball Barrage and Grappling Hook. Not sure how I feel about that. I do like the idea of people wanting to stay with 1 spec they love instead of having to switch to min-max but how it plays out is up in the air. Killing Spree putting you back in the same place is useful, Killing Spree keeping you behind the target and moving you with them, is also super useful. Make it a minor glyph but give us some control over it. They talk about fight to fight basis, and Killing Spree is a good example of that.
Awesome job, everyone at Wowhead!
I´m sad that BlizzCon has ended :( I´m looking forward to the next ^^ ..I love it! <33
Something sounds great, something sounds awful. But I guess it will all change several times anyways. I am really curious about demolocks though, the ideas seem nice.
