yup the new talent trees are not good at all, in a round about way they have taken lets say for instance, i have a affliction lock, i run pvp specced and pve specced, now i dont really see a differance because even if i take stuff like imp fear and HoT off for a pve spec wont i lose the whole more i spec in affliction the more i get system they are trying to implement. forcing peeps to play cookie cutter is absurd, i have posted this before about cookie cutter builds, the pvp prot was never ever a cookie cutter and was tried and proven, those days look long past if these talent trees make it to release. i say let the versatility remain so we can try new and fun things, i stress FUN....anyone can make a cookie cutter, but by all means we need to try new things at the same time. you tell me there is a 100% cookie cutter affliction build, you cant because there isnt, its better to have a talent tree that will make your playstyle shine then it is to have a tree that makes you adjust youre style. i hope this doesnt make it to release but if it does, please add more versitility to the trees, these are very sad
I personally do not like these trees. It takes the fun out of speccing... you're so limited to what you can do. It gets rid of any ability to create your own spec that works for you... now you HAVE to have the only spec that will work. I am going to be so angry with this, I can already tell. I loved our giant talent trees -- it gave us a way to figure out a spec and have fun with it. Now we can't, and it sucks. There's no "fun" talents... there's only necessary talents. How much fun is that? We mine as well not even have talent trees then.
I personally don't like it too much, takes out some of my pvp and soloing specs i use. I always look forward to every 10th level for my new cool talents like waiting until 69 for my warrior to get shockwave is kinda saddening.
I must say this makes specing FAR FAR more clear. it will feel less of a chore.
