I tend to play a support-oriented mage (or the closest equivalent) in virtually every RPG I play: a Force Mage in Dragon Age 2, an Adept in Mass Effect, a Conjurer in Oblivion/Skyrin, etc. Ironically the largest exception is World of Warcraft, where the mage is one of the few classes that I've never had at max level during any expansion.
Durable melee.
I usually play ranged/caster types, kind of a habit as that was all I used to roll back in AD&D times. As of late though, I have been trying rogue-ish types and find I enjoy them quite a bit too.
I usually like the rogue-like abilities but I also like to use magic to its most devastating effects.
Wow, this looks cool, so I'm gonna give it a shot.I don't play RPGs very much but I have some experience of them, so I won't include any MMORPGs like World of Warcraft and SWTOR, they'd need different story.Overall I think I prefer warrior classes the most, simply because I hate dying in RPGs... I don't trust myself with casters and rogues and such cause you need to be careful and try to avoid damage with them if you want to stay alive, and that's just not my style. I want to be able to handle enemies without worrying about my health, and with that in mind, I don't really care about how much damage I deal. That's why I usually always choose a warrior class, especially when I play a new RPG for the first time.
When I play RPG's, I usually play a melee based class that uses a traditional sword and shield. It's always useful to be able to deflect enemy attacks and then retaliate with a swift counter-attack.
I like to play in the shadows, get up close and personal, and stab baddies in the back! Normally a stealth/rogue type character is my first choice, if there aren't available then any melee type character. Though I am loving the versatilely of the druid class in wow atm, switching between cat and bear from, jumping in and out of the shadows and shredding the enemy in the back, then bashing and swiping them if things get a bit out of hand :)
I usually choose the self-supportive caster, or a long-distance ranged elf-ish.
Any game I play I always start out with the "Hunter" or "Beastmaster" type just because I love playing with my pet preferrably side by side as in WAR. Then I always end up going with a healer, can't keep away from it.
i like to play casters. especially - Warlocks.
I love a warrior class when playing any RPG, a hard hitting two hander is my play-style
Mage all the way. Any RPG that has some sort of magic user, you'll find me playing it!
Always a caster class and usually a healer. Second toon/run-through is as a ranger (which was my "main" in PnP D&D).
Warlock
Meele Dps (usually warrior)
