usually play some type of character with magic abilities, magic user/mage type...but sneaky rogues are fun also.
I have and always played the virtuous knight who will do good deeds to save the day. As well as smashing some enemies along the way!
If the game has some element of stealth, I tend to play sneakthief types. Planting an arrow or dagger in an opponent's back before they even see me tends to soften them up. Otherwise, give me a plate-clad warrior with a really big stick.
I usually play 2 handed melee, pally or warrior, but have just started playing a mage and i am really enjoying it. But i really love to get up close and personal with the bad guys.
Assassin/Thief/Rogue. Stealth and surprise butsex damage. Nothing better than going for a single target and obliterate it on a single backstab attack.
It mainly just depends on the game, but I usually swing towards the "mage" character.
I have always played a rogue in every RPG I ever tried, but then they were always single player games. When I started playing MMORPGs, I naturally started out with a rogue. I loved playing them solo, but couldn't stand playing them in group situations. I guess "My" rogues don't play well with others.I will still try a rogue first in every RPG I buy, but if she's not working for me I'll switch to the caster next.
I usually play a Melee Type. Warrior/Paladin/Rogue ect... Plate for Survivability is always good, but doesn't have to be plate.
