My favorite memory has to be my encounter with a just-hatched raptor baby. It was probably pretty hysterical to watch me killing anything and everything just so the little guy had a bite to eat, hitting /love every five minutes...even cooing about how cute it was to anyone willing (or forced) to listen! (Needless to say, I was very, VERY upset when the time came to say goodbye.)Another...sexy Night Elf parties in Stormwind with my husband and friends! The family that plays together stays together!
My favorite moment or memory of wow would be during my bday my friends got me Vanilla and BC, and that I started playing with them and I ended up meeting my boyfriend, since he had all the pacience in the world to explain me the basic mechanics. So thanks to chain reaction and wow.Happy Bday WoWhead! Keep up the good work!
My favorite memory is seeing an elite mob, the first mob i saw. When i logged in for the first time with my uncles paladin back in Vanilla. It was near the Dark Portal. I was 10 years old then and i was so scared that i began to cry, because they pwned me hard.
I don't particularly have one special moment. They all are special. However I do remember a time where I had been trying to complete a quest and for the life of me couldn't figure out what to do. That is when someone referred me to Wowhead. I didn't understand how it worked so on of the guild members log onto vent and walked me through what to do. Ever since that first time and I was able to go back to the game and go right to what I was supposed to kill (after reading several comments) and able to complete that quest. When I have questions about something in the game Wowhead is the first place I go to. I've even refer everyone else that has questions to it. Or if they are not able to look it up I tab out and do a quick search for them. It feels good to help others out. I'm very appreciative of every ones hard work not only for this site but the people that help with helpful comments as well. I thank you.~AutummLily
My most fun moment must be the evening in "old" Zul'Aman when one of my guildies said on TS that he'd have to quickly ride out for a repair, and then along the way out we heard a muffled "Oh - there may be a trash mob inc guys". There we stood 9 ppl looking over our shoulders - and woe and behold - THOUSANDS of trash, Zul Aman scouts leading the gang, stomped, gutted and anihilated us (well they looked like quite many). I'm not gonna name & blame - as I don't wanna create another Jenkins myth, but that night we came up with the concept of "Eldi-pulling ... remotely" ;)
Still absolutely has to be getting my first mount, in classic, when the cost was actually quite prohibitive. I had a few level 60s help me out a bit, and it really made me feel a sense of community...but also...I HAD A MOUNT!It doesnt sound like much these days, but sitting on that fat kodo...going 60% extra fast was amazing at the time!Good times :-D (Non-rose-tinted glasses, because irregardless of changes made, that was still special to me!)FB
My favorite WoW moment would have to be when my 10 man raid group killed the Lich King. I tanked it, and I felt so awesome when we all died, and everyone was yelling DONT RELEASE! then the cinematic came on after we got rezzed and burned him down, and it was so awesome, and i felt so proud of myself. after the new Lich King froze himself, i ran up to it to inspect what had happened, then we played around with the loot, it was my absolute favorite WoW moment.
Let me tell you a story about how deep guild loyalty can go. For weeks we had been plagued by C'thun and his tentacle love constantly wiping us over and over. It got to the point where songs of random 80s and 90s bands were being played over team speak while doing a "new strategy" every three attempts in. Finally a week later we felt good on how to position our people and we agreed that Wednesday C'thun was going down. After hearing Final Countdown, Top Gun, Cher (Our GM was in love with her), and Hansen we knew as a collective unit we needed inspiration to fill us for our last attempt of the night. So our Class Lead rogue by the name of Schoolbus was a devoted Disney fan and through the power of peer pressure we made a deal: Sing "A Whole New World" from Aladdin if we kill him. Needless to say listening to a 15 year old recite the song word by word perfectly was enough to bring a tear to our eyes...from his constant voice cracking. Also that night Dark Edge of Insanity had dropped and we had a french gnome warrior in our guild that never spoke a word. Before he was looted the item he had to say something. He attempted to say "Give me my axe" but it came out horribly wrong to the point we dubbed him "Sloth".
It's a bizarre memory, but it's one I remember best, and it takes place while I still playing my warrior and was still level fifty seven and it had taken me months to get there, playing casually with some friends from work. I'd quest, I'd run a dungeon - which in retrospect were all terribly low for me, and no wonder never gave me experience - I'd hamstring mobs and spam rend on them, apparently unable to read tooltips or get past my hideous default UI. my friends had all level capped and were running awesome dungeons I would die pretty instantly too, and some of them were even - gasp - raiding! there was peer pressure, yes, but more than that there was a sense of sheer and utter stupidity that I didn't understand what I was doing or evne game mechanics at all; for god's sake, I'd played Top Gun on the NES, this couldn't be that hard. so, I sat down, and for something like six hours straight I played and leveled and ground AD rep as arms - I liked killing zombies, even back then. I got to work the next morning and surprised my friends with the announcement that I was now level capped too, and I was going to play and wreck dungeons and raids and everything with them.they told me they needed a tank and that warriors were great tanks. that was when I first realized I was going to hate this game and eventually play a hunter.
My favourite memory of WoW is back in Ashenvale in Vanilla, me and my friend were on a PvP server levelling and all of a sudden a Druid 5 levels above, somehow the Druid didn't kill us and we got it down to 1% hp, neither of us could kill it since it was running off, and all of a sudden I remembered the Rogues most overpowered move! Throw Weapon! To see this very slow ranged dagger fly through the sky and hit the druid, to then see HK appear above its head was glorious. My first ever Honor Kill, with a Thrown Weapon :D
Choosing a favorite memory from WoW is hard, but if anything it was the very first time I played at a friends house. I had chosen to play as an Undead which I had never been given an option to play in any game before. I remember playing a solid six hours through the night intoxicated by questing, I eventually found the Undercity but wasn't able to go down since I had no idea about the elevators. Eventually giving up I headed to a tower and noticed a Zeppelin, to which proceeded to and boarded. After I landed in Durotaur my jaw dropped at the realization there there were actually 2 continents to explore, it blew my mind and I decided I had to get this game to see all that it had to offer.
My favorite moment in World of Warcraft, was when I saw the headless Horseman mount drop for the first time in 4 years across 5 different characters, only to then win the roll. My heart was pounding faster than a bunny on speed.
My 10 man had been stuck on Sindregosa for a while, for some reason that's the ICC boss that took the longest for us to kill, and I had to take a break from raiding for a bit. I was out a couple of weeks because my mother committed suicide and it had turned my world upside down. I picked up with my raid group, but my heart just wasn't in it. I was a core member so I felt I owed it to everyone to make raid nights; and I thought the routine interaction would help me assimilate back into life, while being an escape at the same time. On one of my first raid nights back...we got her! I won't ever forget the elation at closing such a frustrating chapter in my WoW history. I squealed and ran up the stairs and announced to my family that we had *finally* done it! It took the rest of the night to come down from that high; and it was one of the definitive moments where I knew, in the end I would be ok. Mom's life had ended but my guild and my raid group helped me get on the road to getting mine back.
It's hard to choose with so many adventure and fellow, but i'll take the Ahn'Qiraj's Quest of opening. Was probably (before the totally new mechanic of WoltK) the most impressive chain of quest. And a very cool sword ! :)
hitting level 80 in the storm peaks after about 8 months of leveling. i was about to turn in the final quest i needed in order to level up. i selected my reward and hit complete quest. then i got the message, inventory is full. i go to sell some of the junk in my bags then go to turn in the quest. i select the quest reward, hit complete quest and...WOOT XD
My favorite memory from World of Warcraft is when a friend of mine showed me a way to climb from Algaz Station in Loch Modan to the Airport above Ironforge. This was back during BC, before Cata's Flight Master's License. It was a tricky ride through the unfinished mountians of Loch Modan and Dun Morogh, but well worth the effort. To be one of the few people to actually be riding around the airport that, at the time, could only be seen while riding the Flight Master's Gryphon was literally awesome. 8^)
