as always, great job! :D
Blizzard's 2015 plans blog, including in-game transactions allowing players to buy gold with real money and game time with in-game gold, garrison updates, and more, sounds like a pay to win to me
Refactored the database, did you say? I approve!
Any help getting the widget to display, much appreciated.
I'm probably going to get flamed for this comment, however, I got to the point in the video where they're talking about the in-game token for subs and they were speculating on sub times, one month, two months, two weeks. And hiring an economist to work it out. If Blizzard wanted, they could check out how Rift has worked it out. Rift has been doing exactly this for quite some time now. They sell monthly subs and down as low a time frame as three days game time for people who just want to play on the weekend. It works out that a monthly sub is cheaper as I believe their price is $5 per three days and $15 per month, however, some people just don't have the time to get on for the entire month and is cheaper for them to pay the $5 or $10 for two weekends that they have the time for than obviously the $15 for the month. Anyway, please, no flames, I'm sorry I mentioned another mmo on this site but I thought it was worth mentioning for Blizzard to take a look at since they're thinking of doing the same thing.
Won't let me enter the contest :\ keep getting "must authorize twitter account" and for the facebook ones that my account is "already in use by another locker account" any help would be appreciated.
Saw a documentary about gold sellers.. in places like China it's a 9 to 5 job. People put food on the table by working for these companies and selling gold.
Nice to point at page where you can find all the followers, and then need to filter it a few times before you see maybe all the followers you can get. 291 Followers ? No most of them are just npc's.
All of the followers listed are actual followers--we already hid the junk unused ones--and most are available via the Inn. When you open up your in-game list of followers, it does not show you all the missing ones from the Inn.
Bah the Razer giveaway is only for ppl in the US
You mentioned in the vid about trading faction-only battle.net items to toons of the opposing faction. As no one has touched on this yet (which is surprising)...It works perfectly. However, it does not change the item. Your Horde bank alt will receive an Alliance-only item in the mail, it won't get lost, it won't get changed. She can deposit it in her bank and keep it safe. When needed, she can mail it to any toon on your account. But to repeat: the item will not be changed. Your Hordie will not be able to use an Alliance-only item, and vice versa. You can hold it, store it, send it to any other toon on the account regardless of realm or faction, but not use it.In other news, ZOMG DEATHY! <3 Must enter contest! I love you guys, but MUST HAVE PET!EDIT: Wait... Giveaway is a keyboard & mouse? Thought it was a Deathy. =( NVM. Deathy > everything. Don't need a keyboard or mouse, but TYVM for the generous contribution of stuff. I shall forgo entering so those who DO need a keyboard/mouse have better odds.
This is beyond a doubt a horrible promotion. While I enjoy entering contests, I refuse to authorize Lockerdome to "post tweets for me." I also refuse to log into Facebook for any reason.Wowhead and ZAM, I support you and your efforts, but I won't prostitute my internet persona out to a third party for a chance to win a keyboard. Perhaps it wouldn't be so bad if I could at least get a single entry registered, but that doesn't seem to be possible. It's authorize them to access my Twitter and Facebook or nothing. No thanks. Please do better in the future.
Okay that drawing if FIXED! I don't use Twitter and will not sign up for it, they need to contact Lockerdome and have them remove that requirement to enter. I don't mind having to share on my facebook page to get Bonuses but I won't sign up with something that will just spam my email some more.
To clarify, there are two giveaways. The Razer one is something sponsored by Lockerdome that is running across several ZAM sites. The Deathy giveaway, which is open to users from all countries, will start closer to Christmas but we talked about it on this week's show as we won't have a show filmed during the actual giveaway. The Deathy one will not involve FB or Twitter, and we do try to keep the contests varied--our last few for TCG mounts have been to link your favorite guide to win, our big BlizzCon Giveaway was a simple comment-to-win.
