I highly doubt about the Account Storage (and I'm one that agrees there should be one), because they invested already in 'bags'. Maybe make that storage tab like the bank one, where you have 'slots' to place bags of your choice. That way you'd still make use of crafted bags (economy flows). But it's not only about items, look at currencies. I agree it might not be clever to make ALL of them BoA, and even some BoP items, like Expulsom is one of the things these systems should be looked through. And also this One-character mindset that still lingers in most Blizzard people. WoW is such a massive game, specially now, and in the future, that playing only a few isn't enough, they should review even the 'time' we play with each character.
Samadan was not available today to discuss the blog on Twitch, so I covered it on my channel: https://www.twitch.tv/sygon_paul or you can catch up the archived video on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mlwMMHGuMvE
"start selling boost" kekw
The craft bag is from Elder Scrolls Online and it was awesome. I really do wish they would bring that to WoW.
I spend a lot of "chore time" sending mats to respective alts, then putting that into their reagent banks. Just being able to drop it into that sort of storage WITHOUT RELOGGING would be godsend. If we assume we give up 2 pages of void storage and one reagent bank per toon, this would work. You could also simply let players directly access (via tabs) the (reagent) banks on their alts, which would do the same. If this wasn't limited to reagent bank, then this would need a half-day extra programming job to put a red overlay on items that are soulbound and cannot be withdrawn on an alt. However, I considered another solution: create expansion proffesional materials merchants. You'd get a Vanilla, BC, Wrath etc. merchants in each expac center, and you could also have a "grand bazaar" (complete with AH) in Org/SW with all of those NPCs.Each NPC would essentially have their own currency - "Crafter's Token" (Burning Crafter's Token, Wrathful Crafter's Token, etc.) and would BUY & SELL each type of crafting material from their expac. NO GOLD, just account-bound currency just for crafting. This would give 2 benefits:
I like the idea of a server+account reagent bank, probably it also needs to be faction locked. But there is something much simpler that does not need any new code and could be applied with a hotfix: increased stack sizes for crafting materials. They could give us much larger stack-sizes for at least old crafting materials and it would costs them nothing, this is just a number in the database which is already at least 32 bit wide anyways.Make it 5000 for every crafting material of past expansions and maybe 1000 for the current expansion.Plus, change all BoP materials from past expansions to bound-to-account, which also is just flipping a bit.And while at it, make consumeables stack to 50, please.

I would love to have shareable mats storage.I have to confess I'm an alt-oholic and profession-o-holic. I have 80-100% of all the patterns in game, sometimes on multiple chars (e.g. cloth/leather/mail/plate-wearing engineers for the BoP tmogs). Most of my main crafters (every profession) have their reagent bank full. So transferring stuff and storing stuff for old pattern use is a daily/monthly post-shuffle over these chars. My main has all the tabs of void storage filled with previous tier sets & weapons dating back to Vanilla (I started playing in BC, but we were still running Vanilla raids) so really would not like Void Storage to be nerfed, as would many collectors. It would be helpful not to have to keep posting stuff each day to various alts. Though TSM makes this a little easier, it sometimes glitches and refuses to post items from some slots in my bag & have to manually post them. Having a shared bank - with a way to access it on the move when bags are full (new gold sink mount/toy, Blizzard? Or perhaps an upgrade to an existing mount such as the Yak or Brutosaur?).
