i like the new name, and it doesn't matter much, but i didn't even know it was supposed to be a reference to Jesse McCree until today.
Okay, sure, but this new name is just as weird. It would be like us naming a city Mantown or something.
We aren't going to refer to it any different than we did back then. This is such a waste of time and resources. Might as well just rename everything in the game.
This is a better name for the zone
Good change! Removed Mac'aree didn't have a lore naming reason behind it anyways. Ereduth makes more sense even.:)
I’m fine with them changing the name, but why don’t they just change it to Makaari, which looks far from McCree, sound like how the NPC said the name, and most importantly, is consistent of other Eradar/Draenei name like Krokuun.
I disagree with erasure and censorship in any form, wholeheartedly. Putting my views aside, though- Eredath is an infinitely better name.I always honestly hated the name Mac'Aree, especially for such a gorgeous zone. Bittersweet change to say the least.

Eredath really has a better ring to it and feels more "Eredar" like as well. That's just me, though.
Lol, this is a little silly. Will they be updating all of the lore books and novels to reflect this change? We will have to buy them all again, of course. Money grab?
Bye, "HEEEYYY MAC'AREEna", we'll miss you.
This is so stupid. How this name is better? Eredar = Eredath? Its like renaming Stormwind to Humanwind, Ironforge to the Dwarfforge, Orgrimmar to the Orcamar, Mulgore to the Taurengore? What's next? Removing Nemesis "put here race" achievements from Draenor Gladiator's Sanctum, where you have to kill certain amount of opposite faction players, - because it is propaganda of racism?Mac'Aree will always be for me Mac'Aree.
All the people saying they didn't make the connection, consider this:The change isn't being made for player's benefit, it's being made because the WoW developers want to cut out references to abusers or problem employees because they work on the game every day and put a lot into it. It's for them. Doesn't really matter what we think.
Not sure how I feel about this, on the one hand, it's a better name.On the other hand, it's basically saying McCree is a bad guy, without going through any legal process. Using the game in this way feels... very, very wrong.
RIP the Mac'areena joke.
It was pretty cringe to name a whole zone after an employee to begin with.
