Interestingly enough, this is actually authentic behavior and is working as intended. When the Isle progresses to a certain point via daily quest completions, the weather will begin to improve. The poor weather here is supposed to represent the pall of the Burning Legion’s influence over the island and through willpower and perseverance, your realm can and will beat back this corruption and overcome this!
People that complain about WoW's various weather systems (from the moment they were introduced) are the absolute worst.
This is interesting but what I've noticed is that while there are rain ripples on the water I'm not able to see the rain in the air.
But my realm has no one left. Can we still beat back the corruption and overcome this... Or are we stuck with bad weather forever!
That's super cool!
Kek, firemaw progressed so fast I haven't even noticed :D
Huh. I played since vanilla, including through TBC, and never knew that.
The fact that someone on the design team left that in the notes so they could explain it again more than a decade later warms my heart.
You can also set your graphic to minimum to not see the weather effects. That's the case in retail at least, not sure about classic
But I love the rain, I want the rain back :(
Changing weather and day/night cycles should be in ALL ZONES. Would be nice to have :/
Oh man, me and, like, all seven people on my server were discussing the weather patterns on the Isle.Hey, as a side note, do they ever just unlock it all at prepatch or later even if nobody on your server did squat?Asking for a friend…
It's the little touches like this that endeared the game to me throughout the years.
But I like rain.
