I hope they are right in that its impossible to lose data. I spent a lot of time farming before the prepatch, enough to have nowhere near the amount of bank/bag space required to hold it all across 5 toons, so i had most of it sitting in the mail until prepatch, at which time a lot of it was going to be spent levelling professions and going on the AH. I will be a very sad panda if any of it got lost in this issue.

Huge props to the WoW team for always working their hardest, it must be a very, very long day at the office right now. Remember: if you think this is someone's fault, or ridiculous, or should have been planned for, etc... you clearly don't work on projects like this. Bugs happen, mistakes happen, it's all part of the process. So again, just want to thank the devs for working their butts off all day to try to make this right. It's an unprecedented change for the game that is probably much more complex than most people understand. Hope it finishes soon, but I'm willing to wait. Stuff happens.

i was forced to keep stuff in the mail ebcause i'm new and the AH was down, i''d be throwing away gold i desperately need if i didn't do this.sorry not sorry i guess?

Funny how they wait for launch to find a problem, isnt this one of the reasons for having test servers? To test whether or not something goes good or bad before launch actually happens. What kind of company pushes a product or software out before testing?
