I never experienced this so-called "loot pinata" from BFA. I cannot count how many times I ran dungeons or raids and just got gold instead. Upgrading gear was a PITA. Now, it sounds like it's worse. GG Bliz.
You had lots of loot. Some of it was something you wanted, some of it could be sold for gold or processed to obtain mats. I personally liked it and don't really understand the complaints. Now with getting less loot it is more disappointing when that loot is not an upgrade or is a duplicate of what you already have which happens a lot of the time. I don't see why they can't find a middle ground between feast or famine.
Folks: dont do timewalking raids if you care about getting gear!
Personally dont care since I'm way over 200ilvl anyway but this is a *!@#ty change for several reasons.
"Play the game to enjoy the game"Game is about getting loot, enjoy it whatever way you want and stfu with your superior, enlightened way of enjoying doing things for no reward. People enjoy gearing their characters who are you to tell them what they want? Do the reporting and keep this bs to yourself.
I really dislike how gaining loot has become an 'entitlement' issue in retrospect to people doing work for it being a bad thing. I work hard at my job, I don't think I'd like it if people called me an 'entitlement' baby for wanting paid. One can only have so much fun doing a dungeon for the 80th time. Doing 5-6 M+ keys and getting nothing outside of a pet I already had is rough and yes, I feel like some payoff is necessary when the vault, for whatever reason, is rewarding me the same damn things every week to the point of absurdity, and I'm having flash backs to BFA getting the same pair of pants every week out of my M chest. You can't be upset that we all used to get rewarded for our work either through more loot drops, saving up resources like valor, or what have you and now are suddenly having to spend just so much more time for much less. I'm watching people get burned out, not on content but by watching their hard work go unrewarded. People who are having to switch spec to keep the raid balance unable to gear up to do so and unwilling to shill out thousands/millions of gold for BoEs. We've had people unmotivated to do content because they could just PvP and at least it pays off eventually (god help us if they cut that system down too). Which is unhelpful to those of us who's BiS doesn't come from there or don't want to (I like PvP but can't do too much because the general influx of people is just everyone yelling at everyone to do strategies that never work).
