Obsidian Edged Blade. Dropped off Garr about 2 years ago. I was the happiest little Tauren warrior ever.
My most epic loot was Eye of the Shadows which we farmed for several weeks, until our guild's druid (who only looted the best of the best everywhere he went for some reason) just came by and looted 2 Eyes in 5 minutes. Just weird. But after this I went to Stratholme, buffed myself to hell with every elixir I was able to purchase and managed to get Anathema finally as the first priest in our guild (and first raiding shadow on the server).
most likely the first epic i had ever gotten.. was solo questing in EPL / WPL pretty late at night as an arms warrior.. i was a bit of a noob at the time and had mixed up talents etc.. then https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=2244 dropped off one of the scarlet mobs.. i almost had a heart attack - was my first epic. equipped it right away (even tho it sold for quite a bit on AH) and respecced fury.. chewed up mobs after that :Dor the https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=30057 after they dropped from lurker on the first attempt. i went to gruuls for months on end to get the ones from maulgar - they never dropped.
My most best drop, I just got. I got in a pug raid doing "For the Alliance" We successfully completed the achievement and I received my Black Warbear Epic mount.
The day I turned lvl 70 I farmed nagrand all day long to level my leatherworking so that I could enter Karazhan with my guild at night wearing my new Living Dragonscale Helm! I made it and my guildies was very impressed of my commitment. :)
Pre- Wotlk, my friend used to pretty much farm primal airs to make money. And he used to always put an hour or two more than me. Gloating about how much he made, ect... Then this one day of the last hour I was farming primals... A Storming Wind-Ripper dropped https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=31335. I almost felt as if I was rewarded for a hard days work :) I shortly sold it for 500G and had myself some well deserved gloating ^.^
Like others, my most epic drop was not a true epic but the amount of time I invested in getting it made it feel like it for me. Getting my Captured Firefly was worth it though. I am a fan of the series/movie so this was a great addition to my pet collection. It was sad to see the flavor text on the item disappear when they changed the pet system though :\
My Most Epic Drop:This was back way, way before Burning Crusade was ever announced. Heck, even Naxx had not been released yet. Our guild was just testing the waters of Blackwing Lair but after a month, all we had done was perfect the art of wiping on Vael. Razorgore went down easy this night... and then Vael... it was a Friday night and our GM was determined that this would be the night. We tried. And we tried. We lost raiders, we gained raiders...for 5 hours straight we went at it. I was the 2nd Main Tank of the guild and we had the first 3 transitions down to an art...but we just could not close the deal. It was well past midnight when our raid leader announced this would be our final attempt. We only had 35 raiders left at this point. I was the second tank in our rotation. Our first tank moved in and initiated combat. Everything was going smooth... the first two Burning debuffs were paladins, so our DPs was holding up nice and steady. Our main tank got his burning debuff and I moved into position to take over when he went down. Just 2 ticks before he exploded, a rogue drew aggro and Vael spun around! His tail was in our face...SLAM...our main tank was tail slapped into the healers where he promptly exploded taking out our top 2 priests and druid! Thankfully, the rogue was basically one shotted and Vael spun back around to chew on me. I held his aggro and everything slowly came back together. Slowly our raid was whittled down as the debuffs slowly ate through us and we exploded one by one. Finally, I took my debuff and started spamming my Executes. Full rage after full rage execute were slamming into Vael of 5000 a pop. I did my duty and died as all tanks do against Vael. But the fight kept going. Tank #3 fell.Tank #4 took over with Vael under 1% but less than 10 people left in the raid. Vael is slowly going down...its a race..can we finish him off before the raid wipes. 10k...8k...5k...the final tank goes down and Vael spins around to the last Rogue... He pops evasion and tanks Vael..all that is left is a rogue and a paladin...2k left...1k left...the Rogue goes down...A Healing Paladin and less than 1k health is all that stood between us and our first Vael kill. Vent was dead silent 500...400...DEAD. WE had killed Vael!...and then the poor Paladin sat there with his Burning debuff and exploded a few seconds later...giving us a complete party wipe...AND our first Vael kill!We rezzed up and finally searched the corpse... and saw glittering there... and since the only other warrior close to me in DKP has gotten a Helm of Wrath the week before... I took that baby and wore it forever...I still think it is one of the best looking helms for a Gnome.Even 18 levels later..I still have it sitting in my bank.
probably the first hat i picked up in out land. It was pimp complete with feather. I regret vendoring it :(
