This is hilarious. I've already unsubbed but keep an eye on things in case the ship turns around. It's not.
There are hand holding quests in Vanilla/Classic as well.
THIS IS THE BEST THING EVER :D I CBA LEVEL THROUGH CLASSIC THANKS BLIZZARD!
Lol retail 2.0
sometimes you just have to look over WoWhead comments, one lil thing Blizzard do and oh hell nah it's the end of life as we know it, like one lil boost ain't hurting you so just move on, any lil thing that can help a person ppl gotta go crazy over and I see this as helping those who didn't wanna play classic but wanna revisit TBC, this is harming no one in anyway from my viewpoint but hey anything that can help the Classic community bash retail huh.
Don't care about boosts. I see it as an easy way for most players who have jobs and lives to level an alt. If someone new buys a boost, we'll know because they'll suck at the game.
I don't see this as a bad thing, at all. I find levling fun with a mate, but had it been my time and me alone - I'd gladlypay for a boost to circumvent having to spend god knows how long to actually get to the TBC content.Because - and this is important to realize - at the end of the day, no-one is hog-wild about the levling prospect for the8:th time, outside of Youtubers, Addicts and Streamers. Okay.Casual people i know of, hate levling even ONCE. Getting to 60 is a *!@#ing slog. It takes a long time and you get marginalbenefits along the way.Let's not pretend like offering you a way to SAVE YOUR TIME IN EXCHANGE FOR MONEY - somehow is fair to equateto that "omg lulw retail".I stopped playing retail because:My class felt weakI felt disconnected from the story and the events felt completely Alien (i.e not Warcraft to me)Most of the content i did, was ruined one way or another - be that M+ or otherwise stated.Never, EVER - did i legitimately concern myself with what other people pay to save on their time. It does not affect youAT ALL. In ANY REAL WAY.Having said all of that - I welcome these changes.
Have they updated the gear you get from the boosted characters? On beta the gear is very very poor green sets where as at Blizzcon they announced the boosted characters would be outfitted with at least dungeon blues.
Out of curiosity - will we get a boost and a faction change, or just a boost?
And this is where i will NOT play Burning crusade Classic. This will keep so many people away from TBC, not only that but it will also make the starting experience terrible for everyone.AND it will make people quit sooner because now they just get max content, it gets overely contested for a month and then everyone leaves.Private servers introduced the EXACTLY same boosting system. It died in less than a week.
Why don't they just require you to level 1-10 before boosting? It takes 3 hours and you get all your basic spells and 1 talent.Of course, the real question is why are they adding boosts when the game was originally designed to skip most of the leveling, which is 1/3 of the content available (even more for new players)? Because they don't understand MMORPG design and are injecting retail concepts into the game--that's why.
Blizzard is completely addressing the wrong issues here.
