Legion Dungeon Journal

Overview: Tichondrius uses foul carrion magic to corrupt players. First afflicting them with [Carrion Plague] and then targeting them with [Mass Carrion Swarm].
Players must use Fel Spires to avoid the dark energy that Tichondrius periodically releases with [Echoes of the Void].
As the fight progresses, Tichondrius will use [Illusionary Night] to trap all players in an illusion for 30 sec. Inside of the illusion he will assault players with [Carrion Nightmare].

Damage Dealers:
Carefully position to avoid spreading [Carrion Plague].
Quickly kill Phantasmal Bloodfangs and obtain [Essence of Night] while trapped in the [Illusionary Night].
Coordinate [Brand of Argus] detonations to avoid lethal raid wide damage.
Healers:
Players with [Carrion Plague] will take sustained damage until the debuff can fade during [Illusionary Night].
Position for and quickly dispel [Burning Soul].
Tanks will take significant damage while the Nightborne are active.
Tanks:
Position adds outside of [Vampiric Aura].
Avoid taking multiple stacks of [Feast of Blood].

Stage One: Lord of the Nathrezim

Carrion Plague: Tichondrius corrupts several random players, inflicting 144000 Shadow every second for 40 sec.
In Mythic difficulty, this effect increases the damage taken from Mass Carrion Swarm by 1,000%.
Seeker Swarm: Tichondrius unleashes a wave of chaotic magic at all players afflicted with Carrion Plague. This effect inflicts 450000 Shadow damage to all players in a line towards each target. In addition, this effect applies Carrion Plague to all players hit.
In Mythic difficulty, this effect only hits the player closest to Tichondrius in the path of Seeker Swarm.
Brand of Argus: Tichondrius marks several players with a deadly brand for the remainder of the fight. If a marked player is ever within 6 yards of a clump of their allies, the brand is removed, causing a violent explosion. This effect inflicts 1152000 Fire damage to all players and knocks back all players within 8 yards. The damage of Brand of Argus is reduced the further players are away from the source of the explosion.
In Mythic difficulty, Flames of Argus erupt under each player that triggers Brand of Argus.
(Heroic, Mythic)

Flames of Argus: The Flames of Argus erupt from the ground under all players that trigger Brand of Argus for 3 min. This effect inflicts 150000 Fire damage every 0.5 sec to all players within the targeted area. (Mythic)

Vampiric Aura: Tichondrius' allies within 30 yards are healed for 400% of their damage dealt by melee attacks.
Feast of Blood: Tichondrius marks a player, increasing their Physical damage taken by 15% and summoning 3 Tainted Bloods that fixate the target. In addition, this effect increases the effects of Vampiric Aura by 300%.

Tainted Blood: Tainted Blood fixates the target of Feast of Blood until it is killed.
In Mythic difficulty, Tainted Blood returns to life until cancelled after being killed.

Echoes of the Void: Tichondrius calls on the void, inflicting 121887 to 123113 Shadow damage every 0.5 sec for 8 sec. The damage of this effect increases with each tick.
As the void is torn open, 4 Fel Spires form throughout the room. Each spire absorbs the damage from Echoes of the Void for each player behind it until it is destroyed.

Stage Two: Shadow of Terror

Illusionary Night: Tichondrius dissolves into bats, trapping all players in a horrific illusion for 30 sec.
In Mythic difficulty, players without the Essence of Night when Illusionary Night ends are instantly killed.

Carrion Nightmare: Tichondrius forms in the illusion, inflicting 905450 to 914550 Shadow damage in a line, stunning all players hit for 3 sec.
Phantasmal Bloodfang: Phantasmal Bloodfangs continuously form in the illusion at an increasing rate.

Essence of Night: As Phantasmal Bloodfangs die, an Essence of Night is created. This effect increases all damage and healing by 30% as long as players are within the Illusionary Night. In addition, mana regeneration is increased by 2%.
This effect persists for 30 sec after exiting the illusion.

The Nightborne: When Tichondrius exits the Illusionary Night for the first time, he begins to call the Nightborne to aid him.

Nightborne Spellguard

Rapid Pursuit: Movement speed increased by 15% for the remainder of the fight. This effect stacks.
Volatile Wound: Strikes an enemy with Arcane energy, inflicting 597000 to 603000 damage and increasing all damage taken by 5% for 8 sec. This effect stacks.
When Volatile wound expires, a Nether Zone is created.

Nether Zone: A chaotic void of Arcane magic that inflicting 550000 damage every second to all players within the targeted area.

Nightborne Wizard

Temporal Orb: Summons an orb of chaotic magic that moves out from the caster. As the orb travels it inflicts 348250 to 351750 Arcane damage every 0.3 sec to all players it passes through.
Blast Nova: Unleashes a wave of energy that inflicts 1119375 to 1130625 Arcane damage to all players within 12 yards.

The Legion:
When Tichondrius exits the Illusionary Night for the second time, he begins to call the Legion to aid him.

Wrathguard Dreadblade

Blade Rush: Charges to a random player's location and casts Fel Storm.

Fel Storm: Instantly attacks all players within 8 yards for 8 sec, inflicting 452725 to 457275 Fire damage.

Sightless Watcher

Burning Soul: Burns a random healer's soul, inflicting 350000 Fire damage every second for 30 sec. In addition, this effect drains 77000 Mana every second.
When this effect is removed, it explodes inflicting 820875 to 829125 Fire damage to allies within 8 yards.
Ring of Shadows: Encircles the caster in a ring of souls that inflicts 125000 Shadow damage to all players within 10-20 yards every 0.5 sec. (Mythic, Heroic)

Overview: As Cenarius has fallen to the Nightmare he periodically summons Allies of Nightmare to his aide. After a short duration the Nightmare Seeds will summon an Ally of Nightmare that must be defeated. Malfurion will try to help players Cleanse one of the Nightmare Seeds every time Cenarius casts Allies of Nightmare.

Damage Dealers:
Interrupt [Twisted Touch of Life] cast by the Scorned Sister.
Use Malfurion's [Cleansed Ground] to avoid damage from [Creeping Nightmares].
Defeat the Rotten Drakes before [Nightmare Buffet] becomes lethal.
Be careful of Cenarius' [Nightmare Brambles].
Healers:
The Nightmare Drake's [Nightmare Buffet] deals heavy raid damage.
Dispel [Nightmare Javelin] from allies.
Use Malfurion's [Cleansed Ground] to avoid damage from [Creeping Nightmares].
Be careful of Cenarius' [Nightmare Brambles].
Tanks:
Be mindful of [Dread Thorns] when positioning Cenarius.
Be quick to attack the Allies of Nightmare as they spawn.
Use Malfurion's [Cleansed Ground] to avoid damage from [Creeping Nightmares].
Be careful of Cenarius' [Nightmare Brambles].

Stage One: Forces of Nightmare!

Malfurion Stormrage

Cleansing Ground: Malfurion will choose to cleanse the ground under the Force of Nightmare with the largest number of players near it. Forces of Nightmare that are cleansed transform into Allies of Nature. Additionally players within 12 yards of the target have all stacks of Creeping Nightmares cleansed.

Cleansed Ground: Cleansed Ground grants immunity to Creeping Nightmares for players standing within the ground. The protected area of the Cleansed Ground will shrink over time as more players stand within it or when a player with stacks of Creeping Nightmares enters it.

Cenarius

Creeping Nightmares: Cenarius' corruption is causing Creeping Nightmares which inflicts 29250 to 30750 Shadow damage and increases Creeping Nightmares damage taken by 20%. This effect stacks.
Nightmare Brambles: Summons a Bramble Swarm that creates Nightmare Brambles every 2 sec. Coming in contact with Nightmare Brambles will trigger them, rooting the target and inflict 97500 to 102500 Shadow damage every 1 seconds.
Dread Thorns: Grants nearby allies Dread Thorns, reflecting 50% of damage dealt back at the target.
Forces of Nightmare: Calling the Forces of Nightmare to aid Cenarius. If not Cleansed, an Ally of Nightmare will spawn after 10 sec.
On Mythic difficulty, existing Allies of Nature are corrupted by Cenarius and fall to the Nightmare, assaulting all nearby players.

Forces of Nightmare: Forces of Nightmare will spawn after a short duration if not Cleansed. Players can signal Malfurion to Cleanse the ground near an Ally of Nightmare by being near the location that it is being summoned at. Malfurion will choose to cast [Cleansing Ground] on the Ally of Nightmare with the most players near it.

Corrupted Wisp: Many Corrupted Wisps will spawn around the edge of the room if the Tormented Souls are not Cleansed.

Destructive Nightmares: When the Corrupted Wisp reaches an enemy it will inflict 292500 to 307500 Shadow damage to enemies within 10 yards.

Nightmare Treant: A Nightmare Treant will spawn under the Corrupted Sapling if it is not cleansed.

Desiccating Stomp: Desiccating Stomp inflicts 3500000 Shadow damage split among all enemies within 8 yards. If no enemies are damaged by Desiccating Stomp it causes Desiccation.

Desiccation: The Desiccating Stomp caused Desiccation inflicting 731250 to 768750 Shadow damage to all enemies.

Rotten Drake: A Rotten Drake will spawn from the Corrupted Emerald Egg if it is not cleansed.

Rotten Breath: The Rotten Drake will turn to face a random enemey and channel inflicting 97500 to 102500 Shadow damage every 1 sec to enemies in front of the Rotten Drake for 4 sec.
Nightmare Buffet: At low health the Rotten Drake begins to cast Nightmare Buffet inflicting 58500 to 61500 Shadow damage every 2 sec and increasing Shadow damage dealt by 20%.

Twisted Sister: A Twisted Sister will spawn from the Corrupted Nature if it is not cleansed.

Nightmare Javelin: The Scorned Sister throws a Nightmare Javelin at a random enemy inflicting 97500 to 102500 Shadow damage every 1 sec for 6 sec.
Twisted Touch of Life: Heals a wounded ally for 243750 to 256250 health and an additional 1950000 to 2050000 health every 2 sec for 8 sec.
Scorned Touch: Inflicts 731250 to 768750 Shadow damage and causes Scorned Touch to enemies within 8 yards and reduces movement speed by 50%.

Allies of Nature: Allies of Nature will spawn after a short duration once Cleansed by Malfurion's [Cleansing Ground].

Wisp: Many Wisps will spawn around the edge of the room if the Tormented Souls are Cleansed.

Cleansing Detonate: Cleanses the nearby ground of all Nightmare Corruption.

Cleansed Ground: Cleansed Ground grants immunity to Creeping Nightmares for players standing within the ground. The protected area of the Cleansed Ground will shrink over time as more players stand within it or when a player with stacks of Creeping Nightmares enters it.

Cleansed Ancient: A Cleansed Ancient will spawn from the Sapling if it is cleansed.

Replenishing Roots: The Cleansed Ancient will periodically cast Replenishing Roots which replenishes 3% of max mana every 1 sec to nearby allies.

Emerald Drake: An Emerald Drake will spawn from the Emerald Egg if it is cleansed.

Ancient Dream: The Emerald Drake has granted the target with an Ancient Dream, increasing healing received by 25% and the next attack that would otherwise kill you will instead cause you to be healed for 50% of your maximum health and remove the Ancient Dream.

Redeemed Sister: A Redeemed Sister will spawn from the Corrupted Nature if it is cleansed.

Unbound Touch: The Unbound Touch grants immunity to Shadow damage and movement impairing effects for 4 sec and increases movement speed by 75%. Causes Unbound Essence to allies within 6 yards after 4 sec.

Stage Two: Your Nightmare Ends!:
After the last wave of Forces of Nightmare are defeated or when Cenarius reaches 30% health Stage Two will begin.

Cenarius

Creeping Nightmares: Cenarius' corruption is causing Creeping Nightmares which inflicts 29250 to 30750 Shadow damage and increases Creeping Nightmares damage taken by 20%. This effect stacks.
Beasts of Nightmare: Cenarius calls in a wave of Beasts of Nightmare. These Beasts cause Gripping Fog, inflict 731250 to 768750 Shadow damage every 0.5 sec to enemies that area near them. (Mythic)
Spear of Nightmares: Inflicts 4387500 to 4612500 Physical damage, and increases damage taken from Spear of Nightmares by 100% for 25 sec. Nightmares spawn at the target location, the size of Nightmares is increased based on the damage taken from Spear of Nightmares. This effect stacks.
Nightmare Brambles: Summons a Bramble Swarm that creates Nightmare Brambles every 2 sec. Coming in contact with Nightmare Brambles will trigger them, rooting the target and inflict 97500 to 102500 Shadow damage every 1 seconds.
Entangling Nightmares: Cenarius engulfs Malfurion in Nightmare Roots which inflict Shadow damage every 1 sec to Malfurion and stun him. The Nightmare Roots can be removed from Malfurion by destroying them.

Malfurion Stormrage

Cleansing Ground: Malfurion will choose to Cleanse the largest clump of players.

Cleansed Ground: Cleansed Ground grants immunity to Creeping Nightmares for players standing within the ground. The protected area of the Cleansed Ground will shrink over time as more players stand within it or when a player with stacks of Creeping Nightmares enters it.

Well, the question is... are these alternative off-hand skins connected to specific artifact skins? For example, would it be possible to use the "lightning axe" offhand skin with the standard Doomhammer, or does its appearance change automatically when the player changes the base artifact model? While it looks nice at first glance, it's still as bad as the other ones. How does one put a helmet on that kind of animal? The horn is too wide around the bend in the horn to realistically get the helmet over the horn. Only other option is the poor thing had its horn cut off, the helmet placed on the head, and the horn regrew through the hole, but then the poor thing can never have the helmet removed without again chopping off the horn. And if you know anything about horns, once they're cut off, they don't grow back the same way. They can often grow in strange ways that can be detrimental to the animal. A bad dehorning of a cow can result in the horn regrowing back and possibly growing in such a way that it pierces their eye or skull. Even antlers never grow back the same way twice and those are lost naturally. The unicorn's horn seems to be more akin to a rhino horn or elephant tusks which don't grow back the way they were if they were cut off. There's nothing to suggest the helmet can be put on or removed any other way. Blizzard and animal cruelty. -_-

On top of that, I HATE the bouncing run. It looks stupid and like some amateur who has never seen an animal move animated it. While the rider doesn't bounce back and forth in such a way that suggests he might fall off (unlike the camel, TBC windrider, the DK gryphon, etc), the rider STILL wobbles.

Can't help but feel the mount also is just another windsteed which I found stupid, too. The animations and to a much lesser extent the look itself resembles the windsteed. But hey, if Blizzard's apparently doing another version of the runic saber, can't say I'm surprised they're putting in another mount that is based off a store mount to appease those pissed about the store.

Only good thing I have to say is that its nice of Blizzard to put in alternate offhands for Doomhammer ... after numerous complaints. Question is if the default one will get recolors, too, or if you're stuck with the lava look. Rather pathetic Blizzard can't predict what players want by now and takes complaint after complaint for them to change something. Did they really thing people would be fine with a single molten lava offhand for Doomhammer even if you could change the main hand to be green or blue to go better with a green or blue transmog? Really?
