I had no idea warriors could leap it. I'd really like a break down of the opening triple pull in Mists though, as well as other common big pulls seen in coordinated groups. Pulling the 2 packs of Spiteclaws into the Villager pack seems to be a pretty common strat but it doesn't go well in my experience. I don't think I understand the mechanics of everything involved well enough and I'm not exactly sure what other groups are doing differently to make the pull more possible.
When I learned that warlocks can do this, my immediate next thought was, but can I leap through the wall? Needless to say, I was happy that I no longer had to have invisibility pots for this dungeon.
Mages can also perform this skip, although it's a little more involved. After the first 2 packs are dead (small guys and villager pack), let the mage go on their own and polymorph the usual skip mob. They'll then walk past and get aggro. Using mage invisibility will then drop aggro and allow the group to pass safely while the enemy is still polymorphed. It's important that the group stays at a distance while the mage performs their duties. Somewhere around the end of the big tree trunk is good.
Welp, fun while it lasted.
i guess this is useful if you dont have dh, monk, priest or rogue and you absolutely cant afford an invis pot.
Part of me wishes they would just remove the maze walls for season 2. The gimmick was boring before the end of the first month.
I play a warlock, and I first heard about it last week. I attempted to do it in a +10, but I couldn't get the Gateway to lock down properly. If I do one this week, I'll play around with placement while my group does trash.
and the best skip with warlock is not showing to skip the rp after second boss
Dang I’ve been using this for months with our warlock but never thought about using my venthyr port over, d’oh. Thanks for the tips :)
Missing mind soothe from priests, which actually allows the group to skip both this pack and the pack after if theres a night fae in the group. You just mind soothe each of the mobs in the next pack and go around them (while grabbing the stat mushrooms)
Not to be a downer but when are we getting to actually useful tips, that aren't as publicly known? This skip is done in 99% of all the Mists keys (even heroic/normals too)
A Venthyr Priest can Door of Shadows over and then Leap of Faith a person through. Also if for some reason you're doing this not on a mythic+, and just doing it for fun, Swap Blaster works here as well. (Not in mythic plus though)
