Blizzard nerfs some things and raises time and effort costs of other things. Is it Warlords of Draenor again? Or the end of Mists of Pandaria? There are games out there that don't waste my time that much.10k anima for only 5k follower XP is a slap in my face. But I don't like these games. To earn 10k anima I have to play for hours in Korthia and do many world quests elsewhere. Not a good return on invested effort.
Apart from the price (I think there are enough comments already stating the obvious), anima can now be sent to alts, what's the point of making a new item when they could just make the mission rewards purchasable?
Either someone typed one 0 too many or this price is set for an even bigger cascade of anima next patch where we'll get 10k/day.I managed to max level Auris Spiritguide in little over 3 weeks by just sending her on EXP missions and feeding her all EXP items.I don't know anyone who could farm 15m anima in same amount of time and effort.
10k anima for 5k exp ? Definitely not stonks, not gonna bother buying this..
Funny how everytime blizzard make something new on PTR everyone instantly have to come and sh*tstorm about that.. Come on its on PTR it can change 50x before 9.1.5 go live.. Same thing with crying about those xp token not being account bound.. just keep them and use them on boosting another covenant champions..
Whoever punched in these numbers must not play the game. 5k xp is nothing...10k anima? Even with anima easier to get, that's hours and hours of gameplay. For a measly 5k xp lol. No thanks.
Way too expensive.
More !@#$%ic changes from the devs who dont play their own game..... go back to removing sexual content vs coming up with dumb ideas.literally only use the mission table to farm gold and anima... the followers lvl is irrelevant for those. some of the higher table missions are nearly impossible to complete due to imbalances. I would literally be willing to pay 5k anima to reset my follower table progress though. i knew the higher lvls were broken but figured hey most of my followers are max now on some of my alts screw it....... almost instant regret. i had them sitting at lvl 8 for the longest time. easy missions. and less garbage missions. Like break the briarbane is totally broken. id rather get the lesser anima missions that take 1 follower to complete than the better ones that require a very specific group of 5 followersand lets not forget the 10.0 pre patch will remove all gold missions from the table and convert them into anima missions
Whoops i guess a zero slipped from the xp to the cost … it should be 50k for 1k anima
I wouldn't buy this if it cost 1000 anima, one tenth the PTR cost. 100, perhaps.
This is a good idea - using Anima to help level followers - but what is not a good idea is the cost. 10k Anima for 5k XP points is the stuff of absolute nonsense. Somewhere around the 1-2k Anima per token would be about right for 5K XP on a follower given how much XP they actually need to reach 60! as the wowhead maths above shows - under what circumstance is it deemed acceptable that to power level a single follower will cost 790k Anima? (Reservoir only holds 250k, and whilst I of course realise the intention is players don't boost a follower by buying these XP tokens all at once...790k is utterly absurd to level one follower in this way).Another question becomes - this deep into the expansion in terms of time - WHY are we still getting followers even handed to us at level 1? They should be at least level 20/30 minimum now surely? When we're switching covenant and have 80 renown, we're seeing some benefits which is great, but why are we having to level the covenant followers from scratch? Again surely in terms of story sense (I.E Progression in the Shadowlands story) and indeed in terms of player reward - there should be allowances made here? If this was the case and followers are starting to come in at this stage of things at a higher level, then MAYBE 10k for 5k XP makes a modicum of sense - but in the current set-up...it simply doesn't.It's things like this that Blizzard continually implement (and have done over the years) which demonstrate that they haven't done the basic math, they haven't looked at what is actually "reasonable" in terms of player time/investment or even tested it themselves and adds credence to the accusations that the Developers do not even play the game they are developing/building. Blizzard are saying they are taking on more player feedback and this is reflected in 9.1.5 - true - now prove it again - listen and adjust as this really is off the map in terms of cost even with the amounts of anima now flooding in. ESPECIALLY given 9.1.5 will likely see a surge of covenant swapping which will cost a lot of anima now Blizzard have done what was called for in Alpha testing and made covenant swapping easier and more player friendly.
not giving up on design by spreadsheet rather than by playing experience i see
