Truth lol
He is a businessman, and this is what businessmen do. Bobby is not making games. He is making money. And he has made a lot.
I'm sorry but as far as the stock is concerned, I'd agree with Kottick. The stock truly took a dive when the report came out and it was clear that Blizzard had no substantial release to show in the near future. The lawsuit and the bad press definitely did not help but shareholders probably care far more about the company's inability to show growth on the short term than they do about the very serious issues with harassment and discrimination. Activist shareholders are still a fairly small minority.
Dear Bobby,Just take the money and go.
He was already a billionaire and there was nothing he couldn't already buy. He's a bitter man that lost and was forced out of his own company.I bet Tencent even offered him more, but wasn't interested in the money or selling to 'china'.
No interview about this needed. I can explain the motive to sell with 2 words! "We failed" ^^
A lot of these comments are basically crap. All commenting on the sexual harassment in Blizzard: Yep, he should have handled that - and he should have handled it a long time ago. That being said, he hasn’t been running the company in the most unethical way possible. It could have been a lot worse. That being said, his leadership has been instrumental of the gigantic success that Activision-Blizzard has had. All you @#$%^s talking about how little money matters: How do you suppose the devs should provide for their livelihood, if money was not involved? How should the company continue to attract investors, thereby enlarging the work force? How do you guys imagine that a behemoth like World of Warcraft is created and maintained? World of Warcraft is a gigantic success - the biggest ever in entertainment. It beats everything else in sheer size, scope and longevity. And I hope that the management continue their efforts in creating a much better work environment, so the devs can focus on creating awesome content.
Squash the Tick!
