Why not just unlock the perks of rank 6 on all characters as long as one on the account reached rank 6? It can be done via an achivemet. Normal or hidden one. It was done like this before. I sure won't start grinding it this late on a new char from scratch, even if it were 10x faster.
How do they justify not implementing this with 9.1 itself? Playtime metrics? I mean really? I was unsubbed for 2 months literally due to Korthia rep grind. And they lost thousands of players due to this. How is this any good for their playtime metric assuming that was the reason for the awful implementation at the begining? And now we are seeing the same issue with PvP gear. After this; why would anyone try to farm honor gear? Its a worse experience than Korthia to farm honor in BGs with basically no gear and fully upgraded honor gear is now gonna be lower ilvl than max Korthia gear. Not to mention the insane renown gate for honor gear is still there.I honestly don't understand what Blizzard is thinking.
Archivist's Codex really is a poorly designed reputation.First, both tier 5 and 6 item upgrades unlock at tier 6 reputation. WHY?Second, rep gain is extremely slow when just playing the game and doing daily quests. I got 5 (five!) Paragon boxes from Death's Advance before getting Archivist's Codex to tier 6. It's waaaaay too slow. The changes in 9.1.5 will help, but that patch is October at the earliest so it will only help alts. Third, the hundreds of random pieces of crap cluttering up our inventories. Again, WHY? Just grant the rep directly, or only create one type of item for each rarity level.
Worst farm reputation in the entire game.
This crap should be account wide!
