Does that mean there is an M1 native build now for Classic Era?
Adding in the new-models would be HORRIBLE.The old-models tied to Classic are a LARGE portion of what makes Classic authentic. The old models are one of the MAIN things that makes Classic look & give off that feeling of the old game. Putting in the new models would quite literally make the game feel like retail. Also last I checked, the game was called CLASSIC, a re-experience of the old game. Adding in the new models would take away from this severely.Genuinely don't understand why someone would want new models in classic unless they don't understand the intent behind Classic.(That intent being a authentic re-experience of the old game, as it was, with minor QOL changes -- Adding in new models takes away from a vital part of what makes classic give off the feeling it does)I'm not someone who will complain about minor graphic updates like Ray-Tracing Shadows, but something as major to the authenticity of the game as the character models are should remain in Classic, because it is CLASSIC after all -- If we reach Classic WOD, then optional new-models would make sense.I'm also not one who will squeal if any minor change gets brought into Classic, but seriously, stop trying to take away from the many people who are more than happy with Classic/older expansions as it is/was & want an authentic (re)experience. If you want new models & new updates, that is what retail is for. If you want old-models & authenticity/gameplay of older expansions, that's what Classic is for.
The community is ruining the classic experience by being meta monkeys.
Open fresh realms!
Imagine re-released WoW in vanilla but with mythic plus and all sorts of modern things - I would honestly F***k with that so much. Would be such a great new experience.
Please please add the modern UI, I really dont want to fiddle with addons anymore!
Well, players already had something different than Classic. We got classic, but managed to turn it into World of WorldBuffs: The Consumes Expansion. Where if you didnt sit AFK through SM, Mara, ZF and ZG on your char getting boosted you were "playing the game wrong". When you got to 60 no reason to get pre-bis because donning a bunch of buffs and some flasks effectively made you wear and extra set of gear and raid bosses just melted. So you went from AFK'ing inside Maraudon to AFK'ing in Stormwind waiting for Onyxia to pop. The epithome of skill in Classic was to logistically manage the gathering of your world buffs so you could get an arbitrary logparse %^&*! hardon and save 10-15 minutes every week on PvE content. Because who knew that what gamers wanted in 2020 was to raid as little as possible. And the PvP that used to be social and fun while climbing ranks in original vanilla? Yeah, we managed to turn that into a PvE logparse requirement with ready made brackets and the welfare kings of the server deciding how much honor you were "supposed to" farm each week. Because god forbid ranking would be a competition among peers. Screw that. It has to be efficient. The amount of dumb @#$% done in Classic in the name of "efficiency" is just beyond any comprehension.
OK... is the native controller support there?
If Blizzard update the engine and completely change the graphics + start working on new content for classic they can bank hard, but that's too much effort. Also for those that want old graphics I don't see any issue having an option to use the old graphics, but I'm sure that then the kids will be mad that other people have it better. If they do release fresh servers I do hope they fix few key issues.Boosting in dungeons... seriously fix that. The zones are empty and you can't find people for dungeons to level with because everyone is afk getting boosted.Prevent gold selling. It's not hard.Bots...Maybe limit the amount of world buffs and have them rotate, so that everyone doesn't just use the same 2-3 buffs and ignore the rest.Cross realm BG's for low queues.Maybe add arenas with a ladder. It doesn't matter if it's imbalanced. No 30 dungeons BS. If dungeon boosting and bots aren't a thing this shouldn't be an issue.
No updated models, unless they can work client-side only.NO world buffs.Limit access to dungeons to characters within the dungeon's level bracket (e.g. Deadmines is a level 18-26 dungeon, level 27 characters can't enter it. Boosting problem solved).Implement all possible measures to counter the realms' bracket rackets (and their pool boosting), so Classic PvP can be vanilla-like again.Implement pre-nerf AV (the largest version of the map, the toughest version of the mobs, Korrak the Bloodrager present, etc.).Do the above and 90% of what were the issues during Classic is fixed, and we're finally in for a proper, epic experience, free of all the meta/boosting/bracket shizzle.
