remove drums..problem solved
3 Options to end this hot topic and move forward to other problems or fixes for TBC Classic.1. Put a debuff whenever is used any of the drums, like 5 or 10 mins.2. Remove the Leatherworking requirement from the drums, but also lower the cost of materials.3. Remove the drums completely from the game, like they never exist. < I like this better and its easy
"Even though we’re only three days into the beta test, we’re looking forward to raid testing and endgame testing where we try out this pre-2.3 version of Drums. If they end up still feeling mandatory in a way that makes the early phases play out very differently than the original game, we’ll re-evaluate our design."Okay, after sitting back and digesting the rest of the Retail Ion response, I will wait it out and let you beta test this in a raid environment. I will give you that. However, we need to define mandatory so that we all understand. If you mean mandatory to down the bosses, no, they are not mandatory and were not back when we all were mouth breathing bonehead raiders that barely understood the "flask up" mechanic in 2007. If you mean mandatory like the right spec, covenant, class and bought IO score to get in a mythic +15 key and a consideration for guild recruitment process, you might want to re-evaluate this change, because that situation will still be present with this current change. My shaman will be a LW cause it fits his RPG factor and he can make usable stuff for himself plus leg enchants. My warrior and priest have zero reason to be LWs outside of drums.
if you make it have no lw requirement, noone will use leatherworkingI would be ok with a raid wide option, needing only like 4-5 people leatherworking would be fine.but at this point is it not just closer to what it was during tbc?I get you guys are mad because you guys are all clearly day 1 sunwell raiders, but seriously I feel bad for you guys you must of had a rough time in your bootcamp classic guilds
They already ruined this by all the changes, I'll pass thanks.
I 100% believe the reason they are using pre-nerf boss HPs and keeping drums the same isn't because of "We want to make it more challenging" or "Authenticity" it is to keep people from progressing too quickly and subscribed to WOW for as long as possible.
honestly just keep drums the same as they were and let people cry
what a vague post.
Theres no way to opt out off TBC news?
Terrible news. Keep the game as it was. TBC private servers manage those better than Blizzard. Pathetic.
I can’t believe after two years of Classic being the raging dumpster fire that it is there’s people who think making changes to dissuade or prevent degenerate behavior are bad. Imagine if world buffs were permanently on in raids for Classic. No more asinine behavior to get and preserve them. It would be a better game that was actually closer to the genuine experience unlike the min-max cluster we have now. If seals weren’t shared in TBCC the whole meta would be horde or at least it would be for Paladins. This is a good change. Changing LW drums, which is a work in progress, is a good change.
As a multitude players have already suggested. The problem is the combination of a groupwide buff that can achieve 100% uptime. When they choice is "shall we have a permanent 5% haste buff or not?" there is no choice.1. Put a debuff on the players affected that makes 100% uptime impossible (sated/tinnitus)or2. Make them a personal buff like every other profession perk or consumable (which is what they are)Making them raid-wide solves nothing and would in-fact be a nerf to content. Minmaxers would simply fill raids with LWs and use all 4 versions of drums.
