there are again millions of 100 x 1 cloth auctions, it's impossible to fix it.Blizzard should change AH to SL system, no need copy/paste broken things from past which never worked well.It won't make TBC gameplay any easier/different, you'll just spend less hours sitting and waiting on lagged AH.
Just take AH from retail. It will fix everything. Take LFG tool as well. It will fix "LF-spam" in chat.
Yep! New AH from retail please!
Yet they didn't acknowledge the lag in the world after they delayered it
Classic is running on top of the Shadowlands engine. Classic, Classic TBC, Public Test Realms, Beta servers, and Shadowlands all run on the same system. That is why you don't have to download 80 gig worth of files for each version. Once you have 1 version downloaded all you have to download to play the other versions are their custom tweaks.I am all for having the new AH on the Classic realms. I never heard a single person say anything close to "I cant wait for them to bring back the classic AH, that was some amazing gameplay". The AH is maybe 1% of the "Classic Experience". Hell, you could loot chests while in combat until somewhere near the release of Black Temple but that was taken away in Classic Vanilla. Being the first to loot a chest while fighting off mobs and keeping other people from scooping in on your find was more engaging gameplay than the AH.
Pyrewood (EU) had 1663 auctions up with Runecloth yesterday... Only the last 7 pages had more than 1 cloth up, it seemed.Piss annoying.
Well ofc the AH is so overflooded with items if we have 4-7k players on the medium, high and full realms... I would've prefferd to have smaller servers...
Just implement retail ah already, I have no idea why they haven't already done this. Nobody uses classic ah without addons anyway so might as well make it usable by using retail engine. There is no nostalgia factor with old ah, it just needs to serve its purpose
#nochanges - rofl. Except this shows PEOPLE have changed. Same game, different amounts of greedy worthless air thieves in the world today.
If it's an easy solution to implement, they should just add the retail AH into the game... anyone who gets pissed by that isn't here for the game anyways, they are here for nostalgia and they bring nothing to the game long term.I hope they help those of us who are actually trying to play the game, and I hope they do it quickly.
Just give us the retail AH already...
I heard people complaining about it the other day, but I never had any problems. And I do tons of AHing. Pretty sure once they "fix" it, it'll work for everyone but me. :(
Yeah, they really would need to port modern AH back. And some changes or no changes, would it really matter? Like they could modify current AH to behave like old one and still have new backend. In this case you would really need to be hardcore to even notice the difference, beside some issues being gone. It is not like new stuff can't "emulate" old stuff. If us not that software hates old stuff or ways, software will do what programmer tells it to, and if it doesn't work it is because programmer made mistake, not because if has feelings. Just saying. :-DAlso I am pretty sure on backend, there was at least good portion of backporting of new stuff, at least server side.P.S. I am surprised they don't do "grouping" of items by player too, where it doesn't matter if you post 300 auctions if single item or single auction of 300 items and players can just specify how many they want to buy and rest stays on AH. It could reduce database clutter a lot and I doubt it would have major effect on economy. Plus it would make it buyer friendly.
Revert to before your 'fix'. It was slow but at least it worked.
