And here i am, procastrinating the whole season
Wonder if we will ever get to play PTR kek
They prolly haven't fixed the bugs yet. LOL
Wowhead claims "The Arena will then enter an offseason, where gear will go on sale for a brief period." However, their only source for that is their own "To learn more about the first arena offseason" and not the actual blizzard post which only says "Arena teams will have two weeks to do their best work before the Burning Crusade PvP Season 2 becomes history on January 11, 2022. Burning Crusade Classic PvP Season 3 and Phase 3 of Burning Crusade Classic content will arrive at a later date."As a dude with points banked, I hope it's true. But an off season price reduction is being reported as confirmed when its nothing more than speculation made by extrapolating from the very different scenario of season 1 (shorter season, nerfed point formula) and not actually confirmation from blizzard.
PTR going offline just before christmas was a bad timing since dev are on holiday so not much work has been done so Phase 3 release might be postpone by 1-2 weeks over the expected date.
Was the bluepost removed?
The blue post definitely specifies a space between season 2 and season 3. However, the reasoning given for the clearance sale at the end of season one was that blizzard oopsied with season one by awarding lower points because they calculated points assuming a starting point of 1500 (not 0) while simultaneously drastically reducing arena season one length. The best reason to infer end of season clearance sales would be that blizz is lazy and/or stupid and will make it an every season thing. However, doing so would probably do more harm than good by encouraging the bottom 60% of teams to simply buy one piece asap each season and then bank the rest of their points for the clearance sale so they can have a full set of nearly-bis gear for the next season.
I'm playing catch-up on my druid, trying to get some PvP gear before attempting arenas. My method has been to run dungeons for reputation so I can get to Revered (I leveled by questing, so I kinda screwed myself rep-wise - my only route to Revered is dungeons) and buy the set pieces; and doing BGs in between to earn Honor and marks so I can buy the off-set pieces (though I'm woefully under-geared for BGs).I've heard that the reputation requirement will be lowered from Revered to Honored. Is that going to take place during this off-season, or at the start of Season 3/Phase 3?Thanks!
Thanks, ryu2k2. Good to know!
