I don't know what all the hate is about... I kind of like this addition: it makes the game so much easier to quit...
IMO the free gear isn't that big of a problem, because going out to the Timeless isle your going to get ilvl 496 gear

So much QQ over something so silly.Really, a quick 90, woo, what a big deal, game changing stuff. All this complaining just sounds like people who think that just because they had spend how much time doing this and that and the other back in who cares what expansion, for who cares how long, everybody else should have to go through it as well. How dare Blizzard allow people to play the game as they want, skipping what is now irrelevant content if they should wish to do so. Shame on them.Really, get over it, put on your big boy "I'm an objective and mature adult" pants, and realize that most of the world (Blizzard included) don't give a damn about how *you* think the game should be played and should be leveled and this and that and yada yada... It's their gaming experience they are affecting by skipping levels, quests, lore, and all the rest, not yours, so why care? Why you have to be mad, it's only a game?Let the people have cake, and have some too while you're at it.Or that's what I think at least, irrelevant as it may be.
I actually dug up my old account just to reply to this post, simply because I can't help but approve.Couple of things though - - Honestly - Black Temple was released too early, as proven by Blizzard's lack of testing, which resulted in faceroll encounters, resulting in Nihilum pwning the place in a matter of hours.- Algalon? Eh. Mimiron Firefighter pre-nerf would have been my example, but sure, good fight. LKHC as well, although they totally aped the lore portion to hell & back.- Don't get me started on Looking For Group, the harbinger of all this..... Ugh. Not to mention how they completely forced us to run 2+ year old content (3.0 "Heroic" Dungeons) in 3.3 on a daily basis when it first came out so we could maximize our Frost Emblem income... Unbelievable.---------------------------------------------------------------------That apart, having leveled several Alts during TBC myself, I can understand why older players who want to try something new would be relieved by not having to go through 1-70/80 YET AGAIN. On the other hand though, considering that everyone who buys WoD is already getting a free Level 90 boost, this is just.... There isn't even a requirement for a Level 100 Character, nothing. It's just click, buy & use. When will the milking end?Seriously, the more I read about WoD, the more my interest wanes. RNG Gear was bad enough, but they just keep piling it on, & the subscriptions just keep dropping.....Anyway, thumbs up to this bloke above me. Finally, a decent post in all this..... bah!
I think most people miss the point why they are doing this. They are doing this of 2 reasons; First reason is for new players, so they can play along with their friends. Second reason is for old players there does not wanna play through all that old content.
Also from what I heard, if you boost a character to 90 from at least level 60, you receive both professions maxxed? Is this true?
It's for those people who have leveled several alts already and have seen all the 1-90 content numerous times already. The profession boost is only for those who already have professions leveled on a level 60+ character. It's a good option, stop whining.
This is the worst thing I've ever seen. I can't even express how awful this is. If it was REQUIRED level 80 and ONLY boosted a profession if it was 450+ (meaning you actually worked it) I'd agree with ONE per account. But as it is I deleted my "free" 80 when I used SoR. Why? An 80 Shaman.. who's NEVER played Shaman... is terrible. Even as someone who has played for -years- it was a bad idea. But for some new player to just insta-90? Absolutely horrendous idea. We already have enough people who have NO idea what they're doing ruining random groups. Why not just sell gold too? Cut RMT completely out of the equation and fill your wallet anyway.
